Davie, you're the best; one part McGyver (boot lace strand...awesome), one part Bob Ross. I find myself watching your videos in the same mindset as I used to watch Bob Ross back in high school! Thanks for the great patterns and equally great presentation.
Davie - very good & compact patern - like always perfect! ;-) For me beautifull CDC body create by Hans Weilenmann too...I thing that CDC feather's stay are very usefull for a body materials etc... & good looking too!...BR from Poland
very nice fly. I have to say I don't have any grey bootlaces but I do have grey poly so I am sure a half of the volume would do just fine. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you and yours. Sean
Hi davie. I like the idea of boot lace to splot the wing. Very nice pattern again. Do you think you could possibly tie a boot lace culdi. Old capa was showing me it n it worked wonders as a substitute to cdc. Regards stevie
U Dave you have a unique way of tying especially specific patterns take this pattern you just tied Iam so positive this pattern would work in New York Catskills, Iam going to tie it I’ll let you know what happens, can’t wait, there are always flies that get u excited👌

Considering its been 7 years since you tied this particular pattern Davie, it's still a great pattern, of which I can think of no ways it could be improved? Eh but if it ain't broken why try a fix. He he have a great season. Keep your threads and lines tight.
Hi Mike, I've used Mucilin for as long as I've fished but one that many use is Frogs Fanny. I have some on the way so I will be fishing it this season so I'll let you know how I get on with it if you haven't use it yourself as it has been out for many years...I've attached links to both of them for you to look at...
