There are Muslims who will deny that there was any suicide attempt, citing 'as we have heard'. Well, isn't all hadith something that was heard? And the Muslims who raise this objection will most likely not object to the absurd cave story that precedes it.
I can accept that there was one genuine suicide attempt, following which his subconscious conjured up 'Jibril' which dissuaded him from carrying out his plan. But we may see in his subsequent 'attempts' an attempt to have another experience in which 'Jibril' races to the rescue.

I have been using Sahih Bukari 231 to confront Muslims. Here is the "refuting" I have witnessed so far from said Muslims.
1. What does producing semen have to do with Holiness?
(See how they immediately twist the claim and purposly misunderstand the claim? It has nothing to do with semen production and everything to do with him being covered with it so often that a Hadith needed to written about it. This is not a holy quality unless your an absolute insane person.)
2. It is the duty of a wife.
(This is the scariest "refutation" imo as it implies that Modern Muslim men treat their wives as tools to cover up their own short comings.)
3. Aisha wasn't 9 at the time, so it's fine.
(According to Muslim Scholars, Aisha was indeed 9 years of age during the Bukahri Narrations. Regardless of her age, it doesn't change the insanity of being covered in semen so often a Hadith needed to be written about it.)
4. Semen doesnt mean Semen.
(I dont need to explain this overused Muslim tactic to say words mean different things than they do to fit their own agenda in the moment.)
So a bodily function does not negate holiness ... so going to the toilet or sleeping or getting tired does not negate holiness either ... Muslim double-standards does tend to make me doubt their sincerity regarding truth

I would say that the decline in percentage of Christians in the West has more to do with the temptations of the modern world, the glorification of sex and drugs, the emphasis on personal pleasure, money, possessions, selfishness, and cheap thrills. It is a world that has become about me, me, me. Christianity asks us for our best selves, to follow Jesus' example, to be kind, selfless, loving, forgiving, and sometimes even self-sacrificing. Sadly, few think that is cool anymore. We'd rather be shallow than deep.

S 42:17 Allah is the one who has sent down the book with truth and the balance. And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.
Relevant part: لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌ la’alla a-sa’ata qaribun.
In the first verse we find takunu, a feminine verb agreeing with sa’ah but the adjective is masculine. In the second the verb is missing and the adjective is again masculine.

A Very Short Note on 'Banu Isra'il'
S 57:11 Who is the one who will give Allah a good loan so that he doubles it for him and his is a generous wage?
S 57:18 The charitable men and women and they have given Allah a good loan. It is doubled for them and theirs is a generous wage.
S 64:17 If you give Allah a good loan he doubles it for you and forgives you. And Allah is grateful, clement.
S 73:20 Your lord knows that you stand less than two thirds of the night and half of it and a third of it and a party of those with you. And Allah determines the night and the day. He knew that you will not enumerate it so he has repented for you, so read what has got easier of the Quran. He knew that there would be sick men among you and others travelling in the land seeking Allah’s favour and others fighting in the way of Allah. So read what has got easier of it and establish salat and give the zakat and give Allah a goodly loan. And what you offer for yourselves of good you find it with Allah. It is better and greater as a wage. And ask Allah for forgiveness. Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
