Since I was a kid, I was good at drawing and I enjoyed sketching superheroes, dragons, and the like in my free time. I continued to draw and paint a bit during my 20’s and 30’s but I had put my artistic side aside in favor of a more steady income. In 2011, I was blessed with the opportunity to paint full time and jumped with both feet. After years of making bad paintings, painting into the night, and classes with Paul George, my skills have matured to the point where I have collectors across the country.
The artists of Cape Ann (Aldro Hibbard, Frederick Mulhaupt, Anthony Thieme, etal.) are some of my biggest influences. I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects including landscapes, animals, and figures. Usually, I’m drawn to a special aspect of light and how it plays off the subject of the painting.
I now sell online, through exhibitions, and by commission. My paintings are completed in my studio from photos, and en plein air.
