Wonderful comparison! I’ve been contemplating adding La Folie. Have La Nuit edp and get strong strawberry vanilla on my skin. I don’t get the smokiness everyone else gets. But there is a depth to it and fantastic Sillage!

Thank you, loved your calm soothing review ✨ 😊 La nuit edp is my favourite and I use it quite a bit, it has a lingering oriental DNA to it with the resins, spices and woods. Here in the Middle East there is no too strong perfume. We gravitate towards strong heady oud musk resin based scents that stick to clothes in the intense heat. The Aliens and Tresors honestly pale in comparison to the middle Eastern Orientals and women wear them in the house! 😃

My favorite though, most addictive from the Shaghaf series is Shaghaf Oud Aswad, black bottle gold cap, has so much character and very evocative sultry saffron, resins, vanilla. Oud Aswad's woods and ouds are better mixed imo than the original Shaghad Oud and more addictive. Worth buying! You can also use the Shaghaf bottles as a room spray if you don't want to burn frankincense and ouds, lingers for a long while.
I pen all of the tresor diamonds. I have a video posted of me comparing them all. I didn't like the original la nuit tresor edp until about a month ago. The incense you to drive me insane. That was a year ago. A la folie is my 2nd favorite from the line right behind musc diamant. I love a la folie. It's stunning. I definitely prefer it to the edp.
Sadly La Folie version just doesn’t work with my skin...the smell is beautiful on paper but on me is too nutty. The original La Nuit is one of my favorites 🥰 I wear it even for day time casual occasions 😂 I just love a strong fragrance.

Do you think you could find out if your batch is a newer or older one? I’ve heard these have been reformulated, and I’m weary to purchase one due to it’s awful lasting power (apparently for the reformulated versions). My skin doesn’t hold scents very well as it is, so I can’t risk a bad longevity.
Hi Mika, I don't think mine are the new formulations as they both last well on me and especially original la nuit tresor is a powerhouse scent to me. I hope that helps!
Yes, buit late to post this, but Fragrantica has 2 pages on it (well, one was in Dutch for the new 2019 reformulation). The notes for 2019 are completely diffrent. There's some youtubers going over it. Now it's lychi/raspberry top instead of pear, there's no coffee, raspberry, caramel anymore etc.... Base notes are axed tremendously. Appzrzntly it's heavier than it's predecessor though!
