I had problems with the original. I couldn't smell it! I know how strange it sounds, because it is a very strong perfume. I had a whole bottle,but nothing. Then i smelled a la folie and felt immediately in love. Beautiful fragrance.
I smelled A La Folie.. i find it sweeter but in a softer way... sexy and cozy like you said... and yes the Original has that powdery feel especially in the mid and drydown... 💜
I actually find a la Folie more powdery in the dry down on my skin. But I love everything in it. Both great scents for sure! Thanks for watching my dear!
I own La Nuit Tresor Nude, A La Folie, and Caresse. My favorite one is the nude version. I like Caresse a little better than A La folie because it’s fruitier and stronger than A La Folie. I still like all three, I just wish A La Folie and Nude were just as strong as Caresse. Love your video!
Hmmm, personally I think any perfume can work. It just depends on what you like. On a hot summer day I’d probably go for something like Delina, La vie est Belle L’Eclat Sì Fiori, Mon Guerlain etc. I’d wear La Nuit Tresor the night of the wedding😉sexy and goes well for date night and after date night😜
Hi dear! You can’t go wrong with these two. I actually prefer the la Nuit Tresor more than a la Folie but sillage is great on both. The original is sexier and grew on me. I used to be obsessed with a la Folie. Glad I own both and don’t have to choose! Hope that helps.
@@TheSavvySpecialist i used to have the la nuit tresor and it gave me a very bad headache that I had to give it to my friend.. but the sillage and longevity was good on it. Since I loved the longevity on that i wish it was the same with A la folie cz i loved that scent and dint give me a headache.. but still doubted the sillage and longevity on that.
I have been back and forth between these two fragrances and watched a handful of reviews. Someone compared the A La folie as vanilla and the original la nuit tresor as a more chocolate scent. I do not own either but am very interested in purchasing one of them. I love heavy-hitters and everything warm/sexy. Which would you recommend?
Go with La Nuit Tresor! It’s sexier to me. The truth is they both are but it all depends on what notes you prefer. If you can get a sniff, you should before buying but you’d be fine with either one.
I think you can make any fragrance your signature smell. La vie est belle was mine for a long time. However, I reach for this when I’m in the mood for it and not as an everyday scent.
I have heard that La Folie is similar to Dior’s Hypnotic Poison where it has a play-doh scent. Just wondering if you catch that note in it. I would LOVE Hypnotic Poison if it didn’t have the play-doh scent. It goes from ahhhhhh to ~ barf~ quickly. I would like to blind buy this, but if there’s anything part of it that is remotely play-dohey, then I’m out! Thanks in advance and loved the review!

I chose my a la folie I guess because I had both but gave my original to my sister lol. It was too smoky for me.
