I suspected that they had reformulated the Tresor La Nuit EDP. Because the last two bottles I have purchased are much lighter and more floral. The fragrance doesn’t last. as long either.

They both smell the same but the longevity is not the same for me. I love my big bottle so much. It’s smells so sweet and dark and Rich.
Thank you for this video. I was also wondering why people were leaving bad reviews on such a beloved Trésor EDP, especially criticizing the staying power but also the smell. Longtime users swear that something has definitely changed for the worse. I wonder why perfume manufacturers change the formulas of products which the public loves and regularly purchases.
I can definitely see why loyal fans will complain. I really find the old and new formula very different from each other. I know that they used to have La Nuit Caresse which was also highly rated and closely resembled the original La Nuit. Caresse was supposed to be like a daytime equivalent of La Nuit (quite a heavy fragrance) because it's lighter and fruitier with Litchi as a top note instead of base note. I'm guessing they wanted to make La Nuit more wearable and appeal to the masses by combining the "strengths" of the original and Caresse. With regards to other fragrances, they usually reformulate because of changing regulations on ingredients they used. Sometimes manufacturing certain fragrances just gets too expensive and not profitable anymore 😥.
I believe the first version or formula for la nuit tresor from 2015 was discontinued because it had arsenic a cancer causing agent in it. Reference Www.P65warnings.ca.gov
I’m so glad I still have my 100ml , 2016 bottle which last for months on my clothes . Heard it’s being discontinued this year tho . I never smelled the reformulated version but I heard it don’t last like the first released ones. No I guess there’s no need getting a back up

The January 2019 version is still the old version I believe. I cannot claim that it's THE original version, but from all the notes, and descriptions I've read, I would be shocked if this were not the original formulation, still. I have this one and it smells exactly like everyone is describing and raving about. I fell in LOVE with it, and got it for my birthday (May 12th). Perhaps later on in the year 2019 they reformulated it? The one I wrote about in my previous comment is the reformulated one from Lancome, and right away I can distinguish both of them just by looking at the color of the liquid, and then the initial spray of top notes. But I must say it does dry down to the SAME smell as the older formulation, at least on my skin! I am so happy about it after all. I am going to order a backup of the original that I got for my birthday though, if I can find it. It's my new signature scent, and I own (and LOVE) quite a bit of my perfumes.
Don't worry to much about what formulation is what just enjoy it if you love it ☺️. Tresor La Nuit is beautiful no matter which formulation. Thanks so much for watching 🥰
This just killed me to realize I now have a brand new **reformulated** version of this perfume, from Lancome. It just arrived today and I saw this video. I also had it engraved, because the website said it was returnable if I was unhappy with it. The customer service rep told me no, I cannot return this now. I am SO unhappy. Now I'm stuck with this perfume that isn't the original..... what to do...what to do.... ;-(
I never smelled the la nuit before the reformulation. I just got mine in 5 days ago and I think it smells amazing. Kind of a darker and stronger la vie est belle. I got it directly from lancome. It's probably my favorite perfume and it stays on me and my clothes until I wash it off. If this is less lasting the original must have really been something special. Lol
Don't worry to much about what is said about the original. The important thing is you love the one you have and enjoy it a lot. After I read your comment got the urge and I whipped my bottle out and sprayed it right away...ahhh smells so good! Thanks for watching 🥰

I am so disappointed. It was my favorite perfume, I bought a new one this week and it doesn't have the same smell, it's weaker and doesn't last as long on my skin as before 😥
Does it at least smell good? I bought one from Lancome as well, and didn't spray it yet because I looked at the bottle and saw the juice was a different color than the original. That was the dead giveaway. Are you still keeping the new version of this perfume?
