2. Scenery is damaged first when there is a range attack that is targeting a character in a room with scenery!

LOVE this game so much.
To track damage on enemies, I purchased a few teeny tiny red die. Once I engage an enemy, I place a tiny red dice on their base to track their damage.
Such a great idea!

This is the game that managed to break my self-imposed "No Kickstarter Games" rule and opened the flood gates. Very happy to have backed it, my only complaints are the incosistent quality of the art. When you use the art of one of the most unique and talented artists in the comic book industry for your board game, cards like the enemy cards with their plain visual design and grey miniature renders really stand out. Love the quality of the minis, though!
A friend of mine backed this game and we had a lot of fun playing the first mission to learn how to play. The art and minis are beautiful. Thanks for posting this as it is great to see this game get featured some.

This is a nice twist on dungeon crawlers, with lots of choices about when to use action cubes to boost dice types.
Best part of the game is the dice and the upgrading mechanic. I love it!
Good stuff Colin, glad to hear you're painting the mini's, painted they really bring out the quality and the immersion into the Hellboy universe. All mine are painted up to and including Mexico. Love this'd game.
Wow do you have the kickstarter version?? That is so many minis!! I just finished painting just the core baddies minions. Still need to do the bosses and the main characters but then there are tons of extras in there!!
Yep! But I've been a HB fan since the early Dark Horse comic days. This game is kind of the grail for me. I didn't actually play it until everything was painted.

@@OneStopCoopShop I can thoroughly recommend Hellboy The Companion, to get started. It isn't a comic, but an encyclopedia and dateline of the HB universe. If it's still in print.

There is no wrong answer on what to play first it really just depends on the player count. Fractured Sky great at 3 Moonrakers great at 4 and VF awesome 4-8 players. Moonrakers is my fave with the deck building and with the modular expansions plenty to keep you busy 🎉

Excellent play-through. I originally bailed on my KS pledge. Reading and seeing the reviews convinced me to pick up an Agent pledge. It arrived this week and I am hoping to start playing soon. A lot of time ahead to get to know the game. Thanks for your video, OSC-oS!

Couple notes! Scenery takes damage first in range! And assist is max 1 cube per player! Enjoy and good luck!
Also remember than when you do a ranged attack in an area with scenery the enemies duck and cover so part of the damage you do (after taking Resilience out) is done to the scenery. In the last segment, for example, you would need to do at least 11 hits to kill the frog straight off as 11-2-3 = 6!

I was sceptic when i saw the kickstarter, but this game is really nice. Thanks for doing this playthrough. Small Error: When you reloaded the weapon, you only used one action cube, but you should have used two.

Late to the party but I think you got LoS wrong...you need to trace a line centre to centre, true, but doors are incomplete openings so you need to consider that when using LoS. This means that Hellboy at minute 16:00 does not have LoS :) I recommend leaving the doors on the board as a reminder.

Oh they play out quite differently each time but you do know the boss you are going to fight so that surprise is gone
