This album was amazing. The albums all showed metamorphosing states of The Cure. I'm so happy I grew up listening to them in my formative years! High school was a bit rough.
That they would peak 3 albums later is unbelievable...every album is special and unique... I met a really young bunch of cure fans 30 from all over were I live and they never heard of Wish Kiss me kiss me kiss me Standing on the beachhead on the door..they never heard any of these albums just everything after Wish like bloodflower's,they said I they owed me there lives lol because the 80s Cure is the Cure and there best work in a 5 album run
Lol was clearly the most talented band member. Have you seen him play drums? Yes, you have. Have you seen him play keyboards? Yes, you have. Have you seen him play guitar? Yes, you have, actually! (Hint: 1986.) Have you seen him play the trumpet? Of course you have. And now it’s the violin. Robert must’ve felt reeeaaally underrated, which would explain why he kicked such a versatile genius out!
Ah, but can you deny these things that I said? And have you ever seen Robert play violin w/ such grace? (There was “The Caterpillar,” I reckon but that was hardly graceful!) Have you seen him play drums? How about the trumpet?
The Most Adorable Phrase in Music History? "and i remember even though it felt soft at the time....i always used to wake up sore..." I dont know if it WAS sweet and innocent, but it sure SOUNDS sweet and innocent...
Yes I know who you remind me of A girl I think I used to know Yes I'd see her when the day got colder On those days when it felt like snow You know I even think that she stared like you She used to just stand there and stare And roll her eyes right up to heaven And make like I just wasn't there And she used to fall down a lot That girl was always falling Again and again And I used to sometimes try to catch her But I never even caught her name And sometimes we would spend the night Just rolling about on a floor And I remember Even though it felt soft at the time I always used to wake up sore You know I even think that she smiled like you She used to just stand there and smile And her eyes would go all sort of far away And stay like that for quite a while And I remember she used to fall down a lot That girl was always falling Again and again And I used to sometimes try to catch her But I never even caught her name Yes I sometimes even tried to catch her But I never even caught her name
Guy is a lyrical genius
What a Beautiful song.The Cure
"I used to sometimes try to catch her, but never even caught her name" Gets me every time ❤️❤️❤️
I loved this song...just so hypnotic...i think it was the violin!
one of my favourites by The Cure.

It's definitely close to being the best. My generations Beatles
how beautiful is this? many great moments this band but surely this is them at their most sublime its like having a warm wave crashing over your head.
The song I always go back to when I want to go back to my teenage years ❤️ The short solo of Robert Smith in the middle of the song is lovely👌👏❤️
Excellent song
Atemporal.

Je t'aime Robert Smith and the Cure ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I say some of their best stuff came from the “kiss me” era. To the sky is also a favorite of mine.

My fave cure song.
A maior banda do mundo!
Classic.
Sublime 💓
I guess THE CURE never thought I'd go back to them. Well, I have and I'm not regretful.
Glad to say I never left them 😎🎶🖤
My favorite Cure song
Robert was so beautiful and young,long-haired Ben Affleck hha
You are right, Jo ! He is very different now..... it's a pity !
Robert was so much more beautiful than Ben back in the days....
@@mariaalfano1963 So much? Ben is also handsome. You should admit Robert's figure is worse hahaha.
@@joshen6010 nowadays yes but in the past Robert was more and more lovely, my opinion
Thanks for this Cure song.
Happy birthday!!!

Ive collected CURE albums sporadically, and only NOW am i learning they had a great 16 song album called "kiss me, kiss me, kiss me"
love love love love
Someone is able to recognize (or surely know, perhaps only Robert!) The brand of those semi-open white basketball shoes he wore ??
this is my favorite cure song , but like all.
I agree this best
Canta muito
Son. Geniales....
Potrei morire...
Che meraviglia...
such a beautiful man

:D You do realise he's not ACTUALLY playing the violin, yes? :D
He even set that Hook End Manor house where Disintegration was recorded on fire
lol
You are so right drugs got to him such a fundamental piece of the cure plus u know everyone else
superbe
The Most Adorable Phrase in Music History? "and i remember even though it felt soft at the time....i always used to wake up sore..." I dont know if it WAS sweet and innocent, but it sure SOUNDS sweet and innocent...
The name of the band isn’t accidental i’m healed now 💒
Nice time ;)
Yes I know who you remind me of
A girl I think I used to know
Yes I'd see her when the day got colder
On those days when it felt like snow
You know I even think that she stared like you
She used to just stand there and stare
And roll her eyes right up to heaven
And make like I just wasn't there
And she used to fall down a lot
That girl was always falling
Again and again
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But I never even caught her name
And sometimes we would spend the night
Just rolling about on a floor
And I remember
Even though it felt soft at the time
I always used to wake up sore
You know I even think that she smiled like you
She used to just stand there and smile
And her eyes would go all sort of far away
And stay like that for quite a while
And I remember she used to fall down a lot
That girl was always falling
Again and again
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But I never even caught her name
Yes I sometimes even tried to catch her
But I never even caught her name
i find this man very attractive
❤️
😍🔥Gorgeous ! Still in Love w/Sexy Robert, Even in 2022 ! Still Learning & Listening.❤️💋🌹😃
like a lollipop!
Bien esa pista grabada!!
Simon Gallup and Robert Super Goths
And I love the way Simon usually ‘gallops’ around the stage, seemingly not in time with everything going on....Love love love this band 🖤
Nice bit of guitar nicked from New Order. Or is that the other way around?
I love how they's all dressed "formal" but with thrift store stuff that has clearly not been ironed ever.
Lol on the fuckin violin thoooo
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But never even caught her name
woaaaaaa
The official video of this great song doesn't seem to be on yt anymore.
Similar vocals to Terry Hall IMHO
Robert my sunshine , I love you and this song too, but I'm not stupid and I know This is a playback in 100%.
Well it is because of Top pop. All of the artists that preform here for the tv airing preform to a playback. Its hardly their choice.
Robert usually does a much better job at showing his disdain at being forced to mime - he hates it.....
He is miming here
it's funny at 1:37 with the double tracked vocals
Hi lucie
Un deux
One, two
Doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo
Doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo hein
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo huh
Yeah I know who you remind me of
A girl I think I used to know
Yeah I'd see her when the days got colder
On those days when it felt like snow
You know I even think that she stared like you
She used to just stand there and stare
Et rouler ses yeux jusqu'au ciel
And roll her eyes right up to heaven
And make like I just wasn't there
Et elle tombait beaucoup
And she used to fall down a lot
Cette fille tombait toujours
That girl was always falling
Encore et encore
Again and again
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But never even caught her name
Et parfois nous passions la nuit
And sometimes we would spend the night
Just rolling about on the floor (just rolling about on the floor)
Et je me souviens même si c'était doux à l'époque
And I remember even though it felt soft at the time
J'avais toujours l'habitude de me réveiller mal
I always used to wake up sore
You know I even think that she smiled like you
She used to just stand there and smile
And her eyes would go all sorts of far away
Et reste comme ça un bon moment
And stay like that for quite a while
And I remember she used to fall down a lot
Cette fille tombait toujours
That girl was always falling
Encore et encore
Again and again
And I used to sometimes try to catch her
But never even caught her name
Oui, j'ai même parfois essayé de l'attraper
Yes, I sometimes even tried to catch her
But never even caught her name

why no straps
Presumably one of their many ways of protesting the lip-synching format of shows like this
ok
the 111111th view
Ai,ai
i made you try lipsync)
...the way its all embarrassing after he sings about waking up sore...
Simon has nothing to do. He looks bored. Not his type of song.
Sublime 💓
