I stayed in a place similar to that in Belfast and it was absolutely fine. The issue is that there's a lot of people out there who want everything for half nothing and then they start nit-picking.
I stayed in EasyHotel in Kensington about 20 years ago. It was similar to this but it had an en-suite toilet and shower. The bed occupied half the room space. No windows. Tiny tv mounted on wall at the foot of the bed cost an extra 10£
Accidentally booked into the Russel court in Dublin a few years back and it cost twice that and was terrible, even ignoring the fact the music from diceys was rattling the windows until the early hours, followed by screeching luas Trams and then builders who let themselves into our room at 8am without even knocking and started work ripping up the bathroom floor. Mental kip.
Stayed at that hotel in 2018 before the refurb. It was a filthy ancient cobwebby creepy dump. The communal showers was like having a wash in a urinal. The window rattled all night and slept on top of the sheets and couldn't wait to leave.
As long as there are no cockroaches in the hotel I stay in thats good enough for me, as long as Im travelling solo I dont mind a smaller sized hotel if Im on budget. I remember the hotel I stayed in when I visited NYC had cockroaches and the owner didnt even give me any sort of refund!
I've stayed in a room like that right in the centre of York a couple of times and that was about £50 a night (a few years ago, mind) and it did have a shower but the toilet was shared. I guess adjusting for London prices and that hotels seem to have doubled in price since covid, £73 is a good price. In April 2020 I was supposed to be playing a gig down in London and I managed to get train tickets across England for me and my bandmate for £35 each and then I also managed to get us a twin hotel room in North London for £35 each. Obviously that gig never went ahead.
I stayed in smething FAR, FAR WORSE in Cheltenham, it came as a shock I can tell you, I barely had room to get undressed and the room was so small the bed was wedged between 2 walls. Welcome to the UK, a country in so much decline its hard to know whwre to start. I’m considering steppin to Ireland in all honesty (family are there) and although the cost of living there is gonna cripple me, Ireland is so much better than Uk these days (IMO anyway)...
I'm guessing the hotel you stayed in Manchester was Sacha's or the main Britannia. Both are owned by the same company and both do windowless rooms. Sacha's doesn't advertise it but they do rooms by the hours for men with guests and the security guard, if he's in a good mood, will tell you which one of the people loitering outside sells the best coke.
Stayed in a hotel in Victoria area about 20 years where the bog was directly under the shower head in a wet room type setup. Shit and shower simultaneously 😂.
Lucky enough to meet you last August when I visited so I know how tall you are, so that window is enormous! Just got back to Dublin this week and picked up a private room/bath en suite on Upper Dorset for €80 a night, pretty new but you wouldn't fit in the shower 🤣Loving the new content, keep up the great work! I'm out to Gravediggers 😁
Just pish in the feckin sink like any other bloke. Class video. A little bit of the surrounding area would have been nice. Just one pub for one pint of G to keep the trademark goin!
Great video! Liking the content & stuff travellers can use for tips - did laugh at forgetting shower gel - do it all time when travel with just carry on.... Think that room was fair for price for 1 night stop over - London is expensive - if ya can find a few cheap places for food I'm sold.
It looks ok sometimes reviewers can be pretentious. I do think it looks a bit bashed round the edges I bet in most homes there is battered edges. We don’t live in a perfect world.
Doesn't look terrible tbh. You are a brave man going barefoot in that room though and I will assume you went barefoot in the shower too. I'll say no more but I certainly wouldn't do that in a hotel shower and absolutely not a communal shower.
No matter what he does his subscribers will definitely stay tuned in because we're curious and they are enjoyable videos. I enjoyed it seeing as I visit London quite a lot.
Guinness content got stale and he wasn’t enjoying it anymore. I’m liking the new direction because it’s a breath of fresh air and I’m sure he’ll be enjoying it more since he’s no longer chained to a pint of Guinness. Judging the comments, many others seem to agree
Every man and his dog has pissed down that sink fella. No comment 😅
Absolutely and after a feed of pints wouldn't you too... 😂

7:50 ow careful nearly let that slip 😂😂😂😂😂
Another good video . I want to go travelling at some point so this type of content is right up my street, keep it up!
Daragh, you’re some craic. Appreciate the new content. Keep it up lad!
Lol... quality content this. Well done Daragh, loving the new content fella.

I've seen worse value in Dublin
We don't have shitholes like this in Dublin. Unless you're in homeless shelter
Dublin is a much bigger kip than London I've lived in both
@@gitzersmitzer4516 It really isn't. I lived in Lewisham South East London all my life.
Live in Dublin now. Dublin is fantastic 👌
Pretend the camera isnt there, wake up shot, hahahahhaha that does my head in on instagram, the amount of wagons,

At 7:53 when your lying on the bed before sleep did you start to say wank 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Interesting new approach best of luck lad

Looks more spacious than the Premier Inn hubs in London that cost at least 150 quid a night, crap breakfast included though.
Horst hotel in London - Bull and Bush Kingston KT 1 - in the middle of one of the roughest estates in West London stay at your peril.
😮😮
I stayed in Amsterdam recently in a 3 person room and I've killed for a room like that lol
More like this, you had me laughing my head aff
This is quality content!
The jacks down the hall after a few jars is a no no.
The room had a hand basin lol
8:15 too many people wake up, set up the camera, get back into bed and pretend to wake up 😂
7:52 Maybe have a whaaaaat?
Loving the trump pelt Darragh sham😅
Dosn look bad for the swanky location. I've seen hostel beds in Dublin for €105.
It’s not a hostel he’s staying in a hotel .
I think he knows that and was making a reference to the fact that some hostels in Dublin are more expensive than this hotel in London.
Good morning, so there's not surprisingly no breakfast included. Hilarious.
This is what we need 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'd wash my hands after touching the chair 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
7:50 lol
Was that the Britannia you staying in in Manchester? Stayed there years ago in summer, no window, baking hot, horrible
Clean is the most important thing for real

Moving in on @WalkWithMeTim territory.
Try the mitre Hotel in Manchester.....sweet Jesus! An absolute dive, mice and all to keep us company in the room at night....grim!!!
Stayed in a lot worse than that in Ireland. Aparthotel Bundoran I am looking at you.
A lot of people have too high expectations while paying next to nothing lol
This is great content creative and spontaneous it is fun and adaptive the same always is boring that goes for everything.
My hotel room last night in Thailand with private bathroom, hot water shower, cable TV, safe, aircon and refrigerator cost me 500 baht/€13.
Right....and he is staying in London.....
Useless comment .You can get a shag in Thailand for B500 /13 euro also lol
I thought the intro was in the hotel until you said ‘I’m going to book the biggest shithole I can find’ haha
You moustache me how do you get your hands on this😂😂😂

Can confirm the worst hotel in London is in hackney, the city inn hotel. Blood and urine on sheets and I mean like someone’s been murdered 😂
99% of people just piss in the sink
Stayed in a hotel in Victoria area about 20 years where the bog was directly under the shower head in a wet room type setup. Shit and shower simultaneously 😂.
Casey Neistat better watch out with this level of videography
Didn't you use the sink for a night time waz?
Lucky enough to meet you last August when I visited so I know how tall you are, so that window is enormous! Seems ok all your doing is sleeping in da room you’d be out in the day/ night anyway

How long ago though ?
@@anthonydowling3356 2014 lol

I stayed there. Apart from the bedbugs it was grand
It looks ok sometimes reviewers can be pretentious. I do think it looks a bit bashed round the edges I bet in most homes there is battered edges. We don’t live in a perfect world.
You could have pissed in the sink. I doubt you would have been the first.
Lot of time for this content now guru go to the worst hotels in Europe
I’ve seen a lot worse
easy jet hotel luton , shocking
Be grand if you were just looking for a place to sleep to be honest
😂
I’d just take a piss in the sink during the night . Problem solved no worries

That place didn't seem that bad .
Doesn't look terrible tbh. You are a brave man going barefoot in that room though and I will assume you went barefoot in the shower too. I'll say no more but I certainly wouldn't do that in a hotel shower and absolutely not a communal shower.
Hope you enjoyed your wan… watch of UA-cam
Go back to the Guinness stuff.
This is too random. Should've stuck to the Guinness reviews.
Give up
No matter what he does his subscribers will definitely stay tuned in because we're curious and they are enjoyable videos. I enjoyed it seeing as I visit London quite a lot.
You'll never impress the begrudgers I guess...

@@chrisstucker1813 ok fanboy.
Nothing wrong with that place. Try the Lombard in Dublin for a dump and the worst people work there I’ve ever met
your hair is thinner than the reputation of this hotel
