I stayed ten nights in that place and it was like being in Beirut. The room itself was okay, comfy-ish bed but the bathroom was disgusting. It had faeces all over it and urine on the floor that had been trailed into the corridor. I ended up crapping into a plastic bag and peeing into the sink. The lady in the next room was a prostitute who entertained a different guy every hour and even asked me if I wanted a blowie for five pounds including swallowing. The place was filled with skanks, drug addicts, a Nigerian family who spent all the time screaming at each other and someone who based on the different barking had at least five dogs. My room was broken into twice and like you they gave it to someone else but I was out when they gave it to them but luckily the guy was so drunk it was easy to throw him out the door and drag him to reception who threw him out and then gave me some clean sheets to put on the bed. The worst night was a Friday, the skanks had a party outside that was basically a 24 hour rave broken up by the police on Saturday afternoon much to the annoyance of a guy call Daz who everyone referred to as the man. I befriended a young polish guy who was put in there by the council and it was coming up to a year since he moved in. He told me he that the majority of the people who stayed were long term and had mental health issues. This was backed up by the constant screams, shouts and banging. During my ten day stay I never saw the cleaner, the polish guy said you get sheets from reception but not often. In short the place is full of societies degenerates and I'm surprised you made it out alive.

@@TRACYxBEAKER I had sold my house in Surrey and bought a house in Teesside due to relocating with work. Everything had been signed and my removal company had packed up my Surrey house and drove up to my new house with me following. When we got to the house the owner was still there with her children saying she couldn't move as the house she was moving into had fallen through and she wasn't going anywhere. My removal company put my things into storage and I had to quickly find somewhere to stay and the hell hole was the only place available whilst my solicitor arranged to get her out. We changed the locks when she went out forcing her to pack up and leave which took a week and thousands of pounds to finally get her out.
If anybody is wondering what that wire was under the sink - it's earth bonding to prevent electrical shocks if the pipework became live for whatever reason

If you found that experience fine, then I hate to think what you would find unacceptable! - Someone actually able to enter your room during the night must be a hotel resident's worst nightmare after fire.

I’ve stayed in a much worse hotel than that in Norwich, it had no reception desk, there was brasses operating in basically every other room and there was mounds of rubbish/condoms/drug paraphernalia hidden under the beds. I remember it being £19 a night and I still felt ripped off 😂
If I was to bet on the hotel, I would say the hotel by the Roman Catholic cathedral on earlham road? Either there or one of the multitude of grief holes by the station.

Man who was nervous ordering room service in a 5* hotel checks in to one supposedly shared by ex-cons and addicts. I'm here for it!
I'd never use the kettle in a shared bathroom hotel, because its normally used as a toilet. The sink also.

Hi i am new to the channel and what a great video. I would not stay at that hotel not even it was 5p or even it was free.. firstly what horrible corridors and very uninviting and it looks like a hospital from the outside, secondly what a horrible run down room with a lack of security. Thank you for making it.

Glad i found this. I was there for 3 nights last year. The room wasnt totally dreadful but it is (or was last year) used by the council to house asylum seekers and homeless long-term rather than paying guests.
Just like 38% of all hotels across the county then.
I live 10 minutes from here, its known as a knocking shop

We stayed in a hotel like that in London. It was disgusting, dirty, had a communal bathroom and toilets, the double bed was two single beds of completely different height, size and firmness of mattress...and housed long term homeless. Wifi was only in the loby and there was always the same lager swilling, smoker guarding the one table 🙄.
However, it was very close to Houston station so that was a bonus for the week hahaha.
We too bought items abd fancy toiletries then left them for others 😂😂

Tbh everytime I see these worst hotel videos in the uk it never compares to the absolute dives I stayed in , in America for double the price! I just wish I documented them

Personally if I’m hungry I’d be inclined to find a Tesco and grab a meal deal, you can also get items from the reduced section but it’s a bit of a lottery. If there’s a Wetherspoons close that might be a safe bet for decent hot food and a drink at some sort of sensible price.

I went to a hotel in Goole, Yorkshire a few years back
Oh. My. God!!!! It was dire. There was yelling, prostitution going on in the room next to mine and the staff were walking around outside mine and my mums room at 11.30 at night yelling at each other. I was glad to get out of there!!!

That place is disgusting and nearly £10 for that stuff from Costa just shows exactly what’s wrong with this country!
I'm sure you've been told this already but the earthing strap below the basin is to ensure that there is equal voltage between the two pipes so current doesn't flow through your body to earth if a wire somewhere contacts a pipe while you are holding both taps, or one tap and a radiator etc.Totally standard anywhere with metal pipework.

Dude, I'm in bed sick and have been watching your videos for the last 24 hours. I don't know why you haven't got a million subs. You could do Whitby Goth weekend in October, and go to Glastonbury shopping to all the Witchy shops, the Tor and the Chalice Well 😅 also try the witch craft museum in Boscastle. And the worst tourist attraction in the UK John O'Groats.

Not as bad as the one we almost stayed at in San Francisco, Tenderloin area... was not the "working Girls" or the open drug dealing it was the dead body in a carpet out the back !!! 911 was called then we left, did not even open our cases , saw the body when we were looking for some where better close by.

The cable by the sink is what looks to me like earth bonding to prevent electrical shocks in the water so in a thunderstorm the lightning won't cause a problem eg an electric shock for example.

I used to live in Stockton. That hotel is fairly near the two worst areas in Stockton, I lived about 5 minutes walk front there.

That used to be called Formule One and was notorious as a place to take ladies of the night.
lancaster court hotel by hyde park, london is grimier, smaller, way more uncomfortable and the noise outside is relentless - and £155 a night!

I stayed there about 4 weeks ago it a shit hole. Bed was broken and staines on the bed. And around 1am the place comes alive with people smoking outside shouting it's like party hours from 1am to 5 am. It's a crap hole
Sinks fine just earthing bond so if anything live touches it it’s earthed so helps trip it out and possibly save your life it’s on almost all sinks and bath/showers etc or should be in some way or form! But usually hidden or covered
That wiring you pointed out is the Earth wire it’s ok you are safe shame about the hotel 😂😂😂

the wires connected to the sink are for earthing, helps with ligthning and short circuits in the central heating, it's for safety should a fault occur
