Bro try the golf course in Millen Ga. Fairways are cut with a zero turn, par 5’s are not but 450 yards. 4 par 4’s can be driven fairly easy. The greens are well…. They could use the publicity to help make it better
You found a real treasure in GA. I have played it and you are right, needs love. if you are looking hidden gem, not it, but if you are looking for a "who cares" round with your buddies on the real low, great course. Love you won a round their from the closest to the pin.
Kind reviews there Luke. We know some courses are genuinely neglectful but some courses are also only just getting by with the resources they have. The course charging $30 is probably doing all they can just to keep the doors open. The $70 course probably could review better just by getting a closer shave on the greens.
I'm sorry to say I play at a course not much better than this. The dues are $80 a month. We can hardly afford to pay the manager and one maintenance guy. It's the best we can do. Four veterans from WW2 designed the course with a bulldozer. We had common Bermuda greens until 10 years ago and we got Champion Bermuda

Some courses are genuinely doing the best they can with no resource and we are better for having them available for golfers who can’t afford the fancy stuff. More power to you and good luck. I personally don’t play expensive courses either but my love of golf isn’t diminished.

I actually like Signal Hill a lot. It was really nice when I played there and it was really cheap in the off season.
