    I think you might be exaggerating the move on the takeaway. I don't want to critique your swing from camera angles that aren't fair. A lot of "pros" behind the keyboard. Looks like you didn't have room to do anything but pull or block everything. Keep working, Luke! I love your attitude my man.

      It's getting a bit boring watching designers cater to longer hitters and punish shorter hitters, but that's why you see a series of off balance ox's on the PGA tour swinging so hard they nearly fall over. 😊

    • @oozu-maki4488
      @oozu-maki4488 3 місяці тому +1

      @@johnklaus9111 idk what kind of golf you are watching but no tour pro is off balance while swinging. Maybe just train to hit it longer and the game will be much easier. Or just play a shorter course if you can not hit it far.

    As a fade only homie myself, it looked like most of your strokes come when you leave yourself an approach from the left side of the course when there’s no room to hit the comfortable shot (fade) into the green. I feel like a shot from the trees right is better than trying to hit low hooks or 4i-4i into holes.

    I think the lack of distance of the tee is hurting you man. Mid irons into a lot of par 4's will always be tough to score. Love the content though and am wishing you the best!

    • @adamsartjourney
      @adamsartjourney 3 місяці тому

      He has a 105 - 110 swing speed. A little extra distance wouldn’t hurt, but I don’t think thats his problem.

    • @Triguys1
      @Triguys1 3 місяці тому

      @@adamsartjourney tour average is 116. he rarely gets to par 5's in 2 and really struggles on any course over 7,000 yds. The lack of distance makes the game so much harder these days. I am a +1 and have 119 stock swing speed. The game looks much easier when I play even though Luke is a better putter. Anyways, what do you think his problem is?

    • @adamsartjourney
      @adamsartjourney 3 місяці тому

      @@Triguys1 The added distance definitely helps, there is no doubt about that. I think his short game let him down on the back 9. He dropped 4 shots in three holes on the back 9. He also missed out on two birdie opportunities. One on the par 5 and the other 8ft birdie opportunity he missed. He missed a short putt on 18 for bogie. It was just one of those days. He’s been struggling with his short game lately.

    • @Triguys1
      @Triguys1 3 місяці тому +1

      @@adamsartjourney Every single shot he gave up to par was due to a missed green though. Which is bound to happen when you're hitting 6 and 7 irons into par 4's all day. The hole he doubled he was hitting a hybrid into the green from 210 on a par 4. He is 100% losing shots due to distance.

    • @adamsartjourney
      @adamsartjourney 3 місяці тому

      @@Triguys1 Yeah, and if he was able to get up and down he would have made par or better on those holes. It sounds like we just have different scoring methodologies. I’m a shorter hitter as well, so I put a lot more emphasis on my short game.

    Really enjoy all the details. Have you considered the PGA program? I'm not even sure if that's still a thing. I started it back in 1993, back when there was the player's ability test, like three different golf schools, and an apprenticeship.

    • @isambo400
      @isambo400 3 місяці тому

      He kind of chicken wings it and pushes the club through the hitting zone. Not sure if this is the coaches fault. He's pushing the club way to the outside on his takeaway it looks like.

    Yeah man I have my qualifier this Thursday in Florida. 90 for 9 spots . Im at +2.8 and 38 yrs old. Been battling all these qualifiers just can’t seem to calm my anxiety down. Shoot in higher 70s in these qualifiers and tournaments for that matter. Need to figure out a change so I can just play and not feel like claustrophobic out there. Any thoughts on mental change other than act like it’s just another round?

      Best of luck to you. Heard this probably some b rated old movie but here it is,think and act successful to be successful. The mental part of golf has got to be the toughest part of the game especially considering you are only playing yourself to be honest. Again best of luck to you.

    The last few events the game hasnt been sharp but I dont feel that is representing how much improvement you've made since the end of last season with the technical work. It just might be one of those years where it was never going to be great, but itll be building blocks for everything to solidfy mechanically for next season. As much as we want it NOW... its not always going to happen.
    Im proud of you though
