Affinities are pretty small, like 5% boosts for most, but combined with a team AND a Wigfrid it could get interesting fast!

Wigfred's skill tree for beefalo needs to have a perk that gives wig sanity when the beefalo hits stuff, so you don't end up beating the deerclopse only to be swarmed by nightmare creatures.
Considering how difficult is to get insane with Wigfrid, that's a way to get nightmare fuel easily lol

Either Wigfrid needs to be rid of the Tree in its entirety or Klei needs to go bigger with beefs.
@@TheBeard777I think they should ditch it. Make riding something that is enticing for more than one character.
I'd say that Wilson's affinity skills are similarly endgame to Wigfrid's, given that he gets the ability to transmute one type of those very same endgame materials to another.
I hope I'm not the only one who sees that Wigfrids new dash is the same dash of Maxwell shadow duelists. Nothing wrong with that.

I like the idea of the Beefalo taming skills, since Wigfrid is supposed to be a valkarie it makes sense for her character. I would make the saddle give the Beefalo Wigfrid's sanity and health leach effect and also a damage buff. Although considering how tanky orny Beefalo are, that might be too busted.
really hyped for the Lighting spear but i wish that the dash could be used by all even if a worse efficiency.
i really like the direction of making our favorite larper stronger with equipament instead of natural bonus, make a great diferentiation to Wolfgang and helps the "together" part that many characters are lacking. also the new songs being craftable locked on endgame makes sence to me since we can re-spec in other "roles" and back.
as a Certified member of the Beefalo Appreciation Society i feel her rider tree lacking and misplaced, Beefalo negates most if not all Wig advantages and not covering any weakness making her one of the worst Beefalo compatibilities even with the tree on and the new saddle is not even worthy to the team. i not sure where they are going with this one. she is so far down the Beefalo tamer tier list that i dont even cared to know if her songs work on the beefalo, its to late o dich this tree entirelly? the amount of adjusts necessary to make it worth is basically an entirely new character.
Chances are they will yeet the entire tree, especially with how many people are telling them that it's dumb. 😅
No clue why they gave Wigfrid beefalo passives, literally anti-synergy with ALL her perks. But at least is makes choosing easy. So hype for the Spear!
Well, maybe they are thinking in a way of making players who choose an easy character like Wig to try and ride beefalos too, learning more about the game than fighting.

Tankier beef is nice and all, but her chariot of war needs more.
Perhaps the new Saddle allowing melee damage of Beef and Weapon to stack? An overhead slash with a Beefalo bash would be sick af!
Now that I think about it, Wigfrid's Affinity trees are in the form of an item, wouldn't that make respecing let you have access to both song? Unless they made it that you can't sing it without the correct Affinity.

Lol just realized you could make the song bundles then respec the points XD Guess that makes it worth grabbing once. Probably works for the affinity songs too. Guess you could for the Beefalo saddle if you actually want it.
Good call! But you can't sing the affinities without the affinities of course! Plenty of perks in both these Trees are ignorable but the problem is we need TOO MANY of them to get to the good ones.

Wilson, Wormwood, Wolfgang, Woodie, Willow and Wigfrid all have them now with more to come!

As another comment pointed out, Wigfrid should be able to trigger her passive leeches from atop a beefalo. It would make it less awkward and questionable to battle with them.
If they keep any of the beefalo nonsense that is...

Wolfgang still wins but Wigfrid is more interesting at least.
Beefalo’s are prone to getting hit by ranged attacks so the damage reduction that the saddle provides is appreciated. But if it were to change I feel like giving beefalos a special helmet to leave the saddle slot open would probably be better.
But getting hit by ranged attacks on beefalo hurts the player, not the beef...

i actually like the beefalo stuff in concept but hate how half of it is combat stuff. they shoukd just allow her to ride beefalo unsaddled for a more scuffed start to an eqrlier beefalo rush. and give her a skill that gives the game a chance to reset yoyr buck timer once it hits zero or something.
of if they really wanna go with combat stuff, make her buck timer go up after successfully killing something while mounted.
i think the weapons are going on cool down when you equip them so you can't have 5 spears and cycle between them, if you could do that they would be absolutely game breaking
Would it though? It still takes time to cast, switch and cast again which would result in less DPS than just standing there holding F with marble armor without caring about anything else.
@@TheBeard777The point is probably just that nobody should be able to bypass the cooldown they gave to the skill. You can bring extras but it’s better to just fight wigfrid style (a lot of tanking and holding F) and then use them on the same weapon when the cooldown is up. Cheesing around set gameplay things like that is generally a bad kind of complexity to have available.
Meanwhile characters like walter that badly need a skill tree can wait 😂
I'm so annoyed that Walter has to go at least another 3-4 months without anything... You have no idea.

Not being rude or anything, just curiously asking.
The franchise is 10 years old and they spent 4 years setting up the Return of Them and a final showdown between Lunar VS Shadow but are now dragging things out with more character updates that aren't needed, bloating the game with additions that don't progress the story at all and are ignoring better Quality of Life needs.
I wonder if they will give the commanders helm and lightning spear skins corresponding to Wigfrids skins
I imagine we'll get Bernie and weapon skins for sure!

Fair. I am a firm believer in that they should've "finished" their game and set up 2024 to be the "end" but now we'll have at least another year of character updates after having 4 years of character updates...
I like it but the beefalo buffs feel kinda random

No. If it did, it would be in this video and in the description of the Skill.
I tried wigfrid with my friend who played as willow we fought bee queen and my beef went from 33% tamed to 0 because he hit my beef with fire by accident. I honestly feel like the new lunar/shadow songs are... well very weak they add 1-2 more damage and offer some protection. Beefalo tree is only useful if you want to be an even tankier tank its not really useful for dealing dmg wig is better off just fighting herself. The helm path is a waste of points honestly if it was stronger sure but why would i want to wait till winter to get myself a helmet that is slightly better than her og helm when i can just go get a dreadstone one? The spear skills are good nothing to say here. The shield is okay its not good because of the cooldown mechanic which doesnt go down when in inventory but i figure it will be fixed. The song container is good the reviving song too but the battle stinger cooldown? Well this one could be a downgrade or an upgrade depending on what you do. Fighting klaus or bee using this song and having to wait 30 sec is terrible. But getting the attention of a koalefant or a volt goat could be good. Overall wig could be a very good dps that doesnt focus on dodging but blocking all they need to do is fix the shield.
Wormwood's affinity literally uses Brightshade gear, what do you mean wigfrid's is the first that''s locked behind endgame content?
Compare the crafts, skills themselves and what they accomplish and tell me that Wigfrid didn't get shafted.
I think the spear skill usage not consuming durability will be removed. Its absurdly broken.

Anyone can use the spears but not the dash in my testing. A lot of Wigfrid's Skill says "when worn by Wigfrid" specifically.

No idea. They have confirmed that new Skill Trees will be a part of the usual, big Content Updates now.
With wig being able to revive multiple people and wolf doing so much dmg whats the point of playing wanda?
Klei forgot about Wanda, in more ways than one. Remember how she saw every timeline with every character and likely knows every connection and their outcomes? Yeah, me too, but Klei doesn't.

The beefalo tree seems quite lackluster
Yeah its trying to make a beefalo fill Wigrid's tank roll but fails at making it better than just a normal wigfrid in anyway, let alone better than characters with actual beefalo synergy like Wendy or Walter. The fact the saddle is objectively worse than a war saddle is just the cherry on top.

Yeah no shit. We're asking for the removal of the cooldown on a spear or shield that we already held and reset the cooldown for.

beefalo should alow for hunts on there backs or at least more damage then wigfrid

Charge dash and shield look great. Free lazy explorers and actual combat mechanics besides kiting!
The shield - if kept mostly how it is now minus the cooldown upon equipping it - is crazy good.
