As a person who mainly played the singleplayer version I feel like this feels far removed from the charming survival game it used to be: Can't help but feel like it's catering to the abysmal taste of the chinese players-gatcha, skill trees; bloat
Bloat is the word I've been using lately. And it's objectively proper as well as the game is terribly optimized if you dive deep into how much memory it uses even on short worlds.
I feel the same. I was hoping they would redesign the world to be more hostile and move away from the season driven gameplay. I used to play and every game was survive till winter - all the newbies die - 2-3 make it till spring - come spring everyone quits. Why not design some more interesting game mechanics that push the survival/dependency aspects instead of making all the characters SUPERPOWERED or bloated.... I enjoyed DS and DST for brutal SURVIVAL and I truly feel the game has lost it's difficulty/focus. I haven't played in over a year now, but I know i'd just be able to get by using the same tricks I always did making all the new flashy stuff pointless...
Wait what, which gacha they added in the game?

@@EeveeRealSenpai This is the rpgfication of Don't Starve.
@@DarkOmegaMK2 I think there's a mod or two for that
@@EeveeRealSenpaithe spells are bad. The cooldowns made them useless. The only good combat spell is burning rage, and you can get a way higher damage multiplier by simply playing wolfwang
