CPW, Quebec, Canadian Production Spinning Wheel. One Bobbin Wind Off Part 4

- Most antique spinning wheels including Canadian Wheels are one bobbin only. Usually bobbins were wound off on a reel leaving the bobbin in the flyer. No need to remove the flyer assembly to wind off. A modern yarn winder can also be used.
Thank you! I love all the traditional tips and techniques you demonstrate on your channel!
My honor to share

Love your winder and all your input on these forums. I wind off onto my Louet bobbin in prep for plying and set them as far apart as I can to allow the twist to even out over the length of the yarn. It never occurred to me to tie the flyer, I just let it bounce around, you just made that so much easier for me. LOL Thank you!
You’re most welcome. If the single is strong enough, just use some doubled off the bobbin. Happy spinning
Thank you for the wonderful tip! I love my CPW.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for these videos, so helpful.
This is great! Thanks for the tip.
I have just come into possession of a CPW and was confused because I couldn’t see how I might remove my bobbin. Thank you for explaining this.
@@theirmanager5204 you’re welcome. Have fun with it
