For real though I used to think dirt was only brown 😅 Not anymore! Heheh 😅I have reason to believe that he could clean next to if not any rug and maybe in worse condition
I mean he put them on there lol Makes no sense. The dirt etc would've been deeply embedded into that rug and there would've been wayyyy more maggots haha but 🤷♀️ still slightly entertaining haha
Besides loving the FOAM from R2-Clean2.... I also love how it always makes the rug colors POP!!! Amazing work as normal James! Your talents are unrivaled in my eyes! 😍😍😍😍🌈🌈🌈

As you're picking the maggots off the pile side of the carpet then it is likely that food was dumped there prior to the rug being ditched. But I happen to know that some carpet backing materials can also become maggot infested. I'm going back about three or so decades here, but I recall that, after my maternal grandmother died, we were asked to remove the carpet that had been laid in one of her sheltered housing rooms. This was done, and the carpet stored in the family home garage. I noted at the time that the foam backing of the carpet had a distinctive smell, slightly sweet and not unpleasant, but not very strong, either. Sometime later, I noticed that something had been eating this foam backing, leaving a branching pattern. at the ends of each of the branches was a brown coloured pupa, which I thought resembled a fly pupa. I told my mother about it: she was dismissive at first, but later apologised when the papae hatched and the garage was swarmed with greenbottle flies! Now I know my grandmother's carpet was clean- she was a fastidious sort, and up to a couple of weeks before she died, was active and able to do the cleaning. There was also no alternate source of food in the garage, not even cardboard. All that the maggots had to eat was the foam backing on that carpet, and they not only ate it, they got enough nourishment out of it to complete their development.
I'm curious if there is anyone here, watching your videos and after the first wash they are like "holy moly, this is my old rag that I dumped last year"
Well the maggotts will come in handy if you're into fishing James! 😅 GREAT job done as usual, such a grim rug to reveal a really cheerful rug! 🤩 keep em coming!!

Just because one touches your food once in a while, doesn't mean they're all a bad thing. Even mosquitos, their larva feed small fish and tadpoles. Big maggots like that also make really good fishing bait, so they'll still be more useful alive and wriggling than squished!

This question got stuck in my brain. I know it's less about cleaning the carpets than it is the *_Process,_* that's why I watch too. But I do get curious about the *_results_* too. I'm assuming that blue powder is an Oxy-Boost? I was wondering if scrubbing some of that deep into the backside of the carpet would help loosen up that deeply embedded dirt that gets ground in. There, I feel better for getting that out of my brain. 🤣 Welcome to the world of OCD. 😋

Even after seeing the design after the first scrub, I did not expect that rug to come out with such vibrant colors.
It’s the oxyclean (the oxygen booster, blue powder that he throws on). It makes colors brighter.
Looked like Fruity Pebbles floating in a bowl of milk.
