2017 World Series. In LA, when they don't know what's coming, Kershaw shuts the Astros out. In HOU, when they know what's coming, they make a huge comeback from an early deficit against the same pitcher.
And people still say Kershaw is a choker. No...he just isn't a cheater.
The fifth game of '17 World series when the Astros won 13-12. Kershaw "blew" 2 three runs leads. Now I know
the Astros were cheating. That game should have been won by LA easily. The WS should have been won by LA in six games.
Kershaw's reputation in the playoffs extends well beyond that one series. In fact overall that series wasn't even anywhere close to being his worst. Kershaw is a tragic figure in the playoffs.

Any player who was sent down to the minors, released, or missed an incentive clause in their contracts who can show it is related to the Astros cheating should file a civil suit for punitive damages.

In a playoff game, I remember freaking Astro cheaters ripping Kershaw with about 8 straight hits. After Kershaw gets taken out of the game, he sits in the dugout head hanging looking at the floor. Freaking Astros could not do that to Kershaw without cheating.

Laurentino Rodriguez dude first of all turn auto correct on because I lost chromosomes reading that. Second, that’s not how that works. Pitchers change signs no matter what, but the difference with using technology is that through the whole game they’re decoding the signs. Once they get those signs the pitchers get banged up

I have a problem referring to Covid 19 as a "free pass." This is a disease that has killed a lot of people, cost others jobs and changed lives forever. It seems that calling Covid a free pass is insensitive.
The Astros cheating pales by comparison to a pandemic. It's just I'm sure the Astros would rather have a game. Covid is life changing. I'm sure the Astros would rather have a normal season without a pandemic than to have this shortened season with no fans.

The dodgers brought the ws to a game 7 with the astros cheating is incredible. they absolutely should have could have won if the astros were playing fair and it’s horrible. Its obvious to me the Astros cheated in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
I think the only reason why the Astros didn't win the World Series in 2018 and 2019 is
that teams were on to their cheating and doing more to change the signs up.
However, the fact that battery mates have to constantly worry about changing sign sequences
and keep tabs on which sign sequences they have used and haven't used is a shore in itself that
takes away from the pitcher and catcher to totally focus on the pitches needed to get batters out.
The fact that opponents have to work so hard to be constantly changing sign sequences is a mental advantage to the cheating Astros in itself.

Yeah, they couldn't hit Strasburg's curve or his fastball, the National's are on record as saying they were constantly switching their sign sequences sometimes after every hitter because most teams already knew by then the Astros had cheated the Dodgers.
If Strasburg would have gone up against the Astros in 2017 without any clue the Astros had a camera fixated on his catcher and codebreaker to figure the sign sequences, the Astros would have layed off of his curve ball and the same thing that happened to Kershaw would have happened to him.

teams have done it , look at hulks cheating for a long time , most
notorious Yankee players in different eras . MLB used the Astros
to save face .

He did have an opinion. His opinion is that people need to get over it. I actually didn’t agree with his opinion... people aren’t going to just get over it and move on. This was a big deal and the Astros didn’t get properly punished. Mind you, Jeter is my favorite player but I was really disappointed with his response.

Right, the steroid guys still had to use their own judgement on what was being thrown. Had Slammin Sammy or McGuire known what pitches were coming in they could have had 70-75 before Bonds did it

I believe 4 things need to happen. First take away the trophy. Next the rings. Then as in the college football scandal days. Dont allow them to play in the post season for a couple of years. And finally strip Al-cheatuve of the MVP.

That one player brought up a really good point. It is worse than steroids because with steroids, you still have to hit the ball because you don’t know what pitch is coming, but when you introduce technology in your own ballpark, where only your team has access to and your opponent doesn’t, that is the next level of cheating.
I’m so happy the Nats beat those cheaters. They stole a World Series from the dodgers, and they took an mvp from judge. It’s so satisfying knowing they cheated and still lost to the Nats though
