My largest ranking since EVERY JUMPSCARE RANKED, in this video I ranked EVERY FNAF CHARACTER DESIGN from Worst to Best. I based this list of how much I personally like the design and how scary I also find the characters too. I also took some community points into account so my favourite characters wouldnt be pushed up too much. i actually enjoy springtraps jumpscare as afton was a cold calculated killer i feel like his junpscare was meant to make the nightgaurd (michael afton) feel scared as a killer is slowly approaching

I think it actually has a bunch of meaning lore wise since there is a theory where William (spring boi) is actually super shocked to see his son working there and you can see it in his eyes. Another thing that adds to this theory is that when you call him with the balloon boy sound it’s the suit reactivating and forcing William to the sound like it’s trying to find kids again to entertain, and William walking slowly up to Michael is due to him struggling against the machine he’s trapped in, could be why he moves so slow too

Bonnie is just the most iconic in my mind. Hanging around people who didn't know what fnaf was (in detail) could name and recognise bonnie but not springtrap and I felt considering everything Bonnie deserved the number 1 spot for that reason. Springtrap is definitely a better character overall due to the concept but for design Bonnie takes the cake as he is kinda the face of the series (i mean technically freddy is but you get what I mean)

you forgot the fact that the mediocre melodies and rockstars being "unscary" was intentional because they were daytime characters in fnaf pizza sim which is where they originated
That is true...however the whole point of fnaf was meant to be that the characters aren't scary because they are mascots for a children's restaurant but they become scary in the different setting at night

@@jerakaigamez theyre called mediocre melodies, they have a perfect design since theyre animatronics from a cheap or mediocre restaurant, you can see that they dont have an integrated battery too since in their design you can see the battery on the exterior, i still dont understand why scott put them in ucn
The Mediocre Melodies crew originated in FNaF 3. The Happiest Day bit has a Frog, Pig, Bear, and Hippo set of masks being worn by children, as well as a few others, iirc.
Fact: Scraptrap isn’t actually an official name for that character. Ultimate Custom Night refers to him as, “Afton”.

true, but scraptrap is such a widely accepted name that scott probably calls him that now. back when fnaf 6 released, people called him springtrap or salvaged springtrap

In SB he is sometimes referred to as scraptrap, more specifically Dr. Scraptrap
What I love about Springtrap is that he actually looks mad. You can in a way see he has angry eyes and that's what sells to you, "oh this is the main antagonist of it all" Because yeah, Afton is in there, he is the main villain. And that's such a cool storytelling method through character design, whether Scott Cawthon intended it or not

I think I'd find the ruined animatronics scarier if they were bigger threats. For the most part the animatronics are only a threat if you have the VANNI mask equiped and there is an AR inhibitor nearby.

I’d give Ballora some extra credit for stuff like AR where they lean far more into her acting like a spider, it makes her far more terrifying.
I think Nightmares Design is actually better than fredbears, because Fredbear is just way too easy to spot, while nightmare is much harder. Not that that matters, but nightmare is just a lot more scary. would have been a little better if solid colored, like black. Massively Underrated.

Scraptrap is always going to be the worst because of who he originates from. Springtrap is literally one of the best designed horror villains of all time. I wonder how he would be recieved if he was the original design, lol. Probably still not that well.

I agree with many of the points you make about many of the animatronics, but it felt kind of messy to me because for many of them you say "this guy looks funny and I love him" and then for another character you're going off of strictly how scary are they and how well they work in their environment. I think that overall, this is a good and enjoyable video, but it would be nice if the reasons for placements were all the same (like how scary or cool do they look) rather than being different for each one.

Poor rating for the Mediocres, they’re supposed to look like normal modern animatronics,obviously they’re not scary. Also hippo animatronics are a real thing so the decision wasn’t far off. In fact, the original one is worse.
If this is the thought process, then I would’ve thought that the nightmares would be at the bottom for being “over-the-top.” Same with the funtimes or really any animatronic past the OG band. Also… rockstar chica would be at the bottom for me.
I think the reason the nightmares work is because while they are over the top there's a good reason and its over done in a good way. You only really see the nightmares when they kill you so your not staring at the model like you would on a camera. The funtimes are a bit much but I can let it slide for being hi tech. Plus they have simple concepts. Plus they benefit for having the endoskeleton under the face plates which is just horrifying
@@jerakaigamezYeah, someone else, I forget who, pointed how the nightmare designs were used in a smart way. Because of the lack of cameras, you never get a clear look at them for very long. Because of this, it is important that the scariness is obvious. Most good monster designs are handled this way, because, if you get a clear, long,well lit look at them, the exaggerated scariness becomes silly.
Having said that, you could make a similar case for the scraps. In the main part, you only see them in jump scares. Yes, you look at them for a while in the salvages, but those are very poorly lit. Having said that, yeah, not a big fan of Molten Freddy, and DEFINITELY not a fan of Scraptrap, but Scrapbaby really works for me. A lot of it is that crooked smile and that claw. The original Circus Baby has a rounded, clean design that just wasn't scary to me. Then again, I never found the opening face plate jump scares very effective, so yes, a lot of this is very subjective. Can't argue much with that top 10, though. I think you nailed the top of the list!

Alright. Constructive criticism here. The reason scrap baby and molten Freddy look like that is because they're supposed to look like they rebuilt themselves from completely random parts. Trash. And molten Freddy is mostly ennard other than the mask. And the mediocre melodies weren't really meant to be scary. I have no idea why they're in ultimate custom night.
Edit: watched a bit further. I think a big flaw in this video is yiu onky ranked them on scare factor. Quite a few animatronics, most of which are at the bottom, are not designed to be scary per se. Like most fnaf 6 animatronics. They were made to be more realistic animatronics that might actually be in a restaurant. Not to be actually scary

My reasons for not liking them
Yeah plus the giant lobster claw makes no sense to me, like where tf did she get that? Circus Baby already wasn't one of my favorite characters, but Scrap Baby is just weird.

Toy Freddy is relatable
Mangle is mad underrated imo. The coolest and most unique design in the franchise who has an interesting presence. The idea of a robotic creature sitting above you on the ceiling waiting to chomp you and your head is just cool. I like the unpredictable movement too and the cool jumpscares. Mangle deserves more love. She’s literally like a spider

I feel seen- he was absolute NIGHTMARE FUEL when I first played fnaf (I was like 11 don't laugh) and still today he gives me the creeps even after having played with all the other characters!! I don't know what it is but his design is just perfectly balanced between believeable and scary as hell

As terrible as Scraptrap’s design is, I still kinda love it in a it’s so bad it’s good kinda way. Springtrap is still better, I’m not insane, but Scraptrap is just so hilarious and the way he looks during the salvage is actually pretty ominous, even if it’s not particularly scary.

I thought the ending where burntrap dies was the canon ending, but im happy the princess quest one is, since i liked that one the best. Oh and it says prototype on his foot so its not actually the real freddy.

I actually like how the Nightmare Cupcake was designed, fitting with Nightmare Chica. Plus, what’s the point of the Nightmare Cupcake if it’s not being used, and it is a part of Nightmare Chica’s kit, which would make sense that if you don’t fend her off at the door, she sends in her cupcake

i actually heavily agree with almost this whole teirlist. The ranking of the characters from fnaf pizzeria sim till ruin would be quite a bit different for me because i think the polished look is more modern and realistic, i cant blame you for where you placed them

5:56 bare endo/endo-01's design is not that one but that was actually an unused asset for the endo-01 and also that's a fanart/edit, the first one you see in the games is actually more unnerving when you play the game for the first time in 2014-2018, it doesn't look that scary but when you hear phone guy's call about getting stuffed in the suit like with that endo penetrating your skin.
