@@dylanjahraus they’re all very helpful! I especially like the one about how to get your first 1000 sales and anything SEO (I’m focusing on learning seo as it’s absolutely new to me). But what I am still wondering is how many listings should I start my shop with, do you have any tips on that? :)

First of all congratulations to whoever takes care of the video editing and graphics of your channel, because they really do a great job! Honestly I would really like to start selling on Etsy, but I have nothing in hand to start with other than my background working in graphic design. Maybe, I could produce something digital, but the thought of creating something that isn't "appealing" to a customer or of remaining invisible on the platform stops me from starting. Any advice?

I have an etsy shop, and it seems like people really like digital paper, such as planners, lined paper, and other printable pages. I sell quite a few of those. I also do print on demand items because they also use graphic design skills.

I plan on doing this full time. I'm so tired of my husband working day shift, and me working nights. We have two kids under 6yo, so that is the way our schedule has to be. The work life balance is not there for me. It would be nice for my husband to stay home as well, because he works in the construction buisness. He works hard and comes home sore. I would love to make enough to save him from it. ❤

Dylan really we can learn many things from your videos. As a new sellers we do have doubts. Most of people say focus on one niche only, two or three products only otherwise Etsy will not understand the algorithm and target customers. What is your advice, as you are saying sell multiple products, multiple niches or categories and multiple listings. As a new sellers would we get success? Or Etsy will not understand the algorithm. Really your advice or guidance matter a lot for us. Thanks for making fruit ful videos.

Hey Dylan, thank you for all your content. I have a question maybe you can answer. I see so many teachers in Etsy talk about the “this item is in x carts “ and use that as one factor to determine demand & popularity. I always thought that was just Etsy creating a sense of urgency to purchase. (Kinda like the app vitals has) Has anyone ever proved it is truly a real statistic? Can you see as a seller how many of your items are in people’s cart or would you have to go to the listing? I would love to know if it’s a fact it’s in that many carts and not just a fluff to get you to hurry up and buy.
    Thank you!

I don't know if this will post twice, for some reason it got all wonky on me. I take Etsy more seriously every year, because I'm hoping in a few years that it will replace my full-time job I'm not ready to make the leap to full time Etsy yet.
Last year at the beginning of the year, I took their suggestion for selling supplies, and now I have a best seller that, while doesn't earn thousands and thousands of dollars, definitely earns me more than coffee money every month. My shop has pivoted from selling my fused glass creations, to selling supplies to other class users and mosaic artists, with the occasional fuse glass creation selling. Those seem to do better in person. But had I not taken a chance on the supply idea, I never would have gotten a buss seller badge, and I'm really happy I have one. I may have more, I'm not sure
