"The Stars and Stripes Forever" is a patriotic American march written and composed by John Philip Sousa, widely considered to be his magnum opus. By a 1987 act of the U.S. Congress, it is the official National March of the United States of America.
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. The purpose of this channel and its content is to historically present the music at hand and does not show support for nor against the party on screen, rather a neutral preservation standpoint so that the music is not lost to time. Not all parties shown on Danjori are widely accepted, however, I merely upload their songs to record history, good or bad.

This video is dedicated to the 170th birthday of "The March King", John Philip Sousa.
Born November 6th, 1854, Sousa was head of the United States' Marine Corps Band for 12 years, and conducted his own marching band for 39 years, over 15,623 concerts, through North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia; performing personally for Queen Victoria of England, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, and Franz Joseph I of Austro-Hungary, just to name a few of many leaders.
Sousa composed and wrote over 200 songs in his 77 years alive, 136 of them being military marches. All of these marches are still used by the United States Armed Forces and by militaries abroad, from "Semper Fidelis" and "The Washington Post", to "The Stars and Stripes Forever".
May The March King's legacy carry on through the nation and the world, even now 92 years after his death, his songs are famous around the globe and his honor is carried on through The Presidents' Own United States' Marine Band.

I’ll be honest as much as I love being American I’ve always felt that American patriotic tunes are actually pretty lame. But one exception is Sousa music - it’s awesome! Stars and Stripes forever is one of the best marches ever!
