***** Indeed. "Dig Your Own Grave" is an excellent hardcore song. Tam's vocals are ripping it all. Actually, in my opinion, everything ever created by SACRILEGE is awesome. When I say heavy/doom metal, take the marvellous solo intro of "Shadows From Mordor" and what follows are a collection of astounding guitar riffs, heavy as hell.
More of this music is needed! There would be less violence, this music cleanses the mind! Go bang your head, go pogo, go loose the aggression. And read the lyrics, maybe it will clear your head! Music can change the world, Sacrilege did change mine!
Yeah, ok. What about potential threat tho. What's up with talking shit on Slayer, scared of the angel of death... ain't they along the same lines as each other (sacr & pthr)...

Back in 85 when I bought this I was into HC punk and thrash metal and the 2 were becoming 1 so I thought this was a young male punk on vocals. I played my vinyl and cassette copies to death. Now it's up here for all eternity. Hard to top the spirit of new music in its infancy. BAD ASS SH!T!
This right here is a classic album from the mighty sacrilege.I believe this came out in '85,I bought it on vinyl when it did.Shit is addictive and very raging and heavy.Never gets old.
First song ,Life Line...THIS is what it sounds like when your drunk driving at 120 MPH and crash into a cement column only to glance off, spin around 12 times , go up the embankment , across the four lane and into the 7-11 parking lot at 1:50 am , just in time for more beer..

Unbelievable record! I can't believe it took me so long to listen to this. One of my new favorites. Riffs fucking everywhere, and definitely one of the best female vocalists I've ever heard. Their next LP after this "Within the Prophecy" is great too, check it out
One of the most ferocious female performers in metal along with Holy Moses Sabina Classen at the very same time. Something dark and brutal were churning under the surface...
You can fucking hear the Napalm Death in here before Napalm Death even existed. God it's so crusty it could bar your eyes into tight-closed slits. The perfect cross between an anarchic animal and a leather studded mountain goat.
You're more right than you know ! I played in a band that gigged with Sacrilege and Napalm Death in the 1980's. I'm sure I remember Napalm Death and Bolt thrower supporting us at The Mermaid in Birmingham, and the guys and Tam from sacrilege were there, I think they were all from the same area. I'm sure they would both have seen Sacrilege play in the area.

A classic! Saw them play in the mid 80's, and bumped into Tam again at a gig last week. Lovely lady!
Is she singing still
Masterpiece of heavy music. the perfect cruzade across crust punk, D-beat, thrash and doom metal.
The very first band to craft something like that.

Gustavo Rios Autran what about Rick astley?
Thank you Gustavo for your long & continued support :)
Gustavo Rios Autran some of the axegrinder early stuff maybe more i dunno they just rock
Also speed metal, i'd say, with a tasty vibe of first wave black metal.

I thought I had listened to every 80s metal and punk but I slept on Sacrilege. The riffs on this album are amazing. It makes Iommi proud.
Someone mentioned Sacrilege on a Detente album upload and I'm so glad they did. I'm only 3 songs in and this is freakin badass!

What a Killer Band!!!! A Superb voice by Lynda "Tam" Simpson!!! And all the other members are so great!!! I love them to much.
I bumped into Tam at a gig last weekend. Nice to see her again!
Loving that Sacrilege LP. I remember finding a Broken Bones album in a thrift store, good music for angry days.
This sounds like the direct precursor to Bolt Thrower's "In Battle There is No Law". Awesome.
totally true!
