- Join me as I head to Codona's Amusement Park located in Aberdeen, Scotland for my first ever visit! In this vlog I share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park including the awesome Go Karts, Drop Tower and many more fantastic attractions. Along with that I check out everything that this family amusement park has to offer including a look at the fantastic indoor section!

Visited this for the first time a couple days ago when I was visiting Scotland, only really went to the arcade, but oh my, what is this? My favorite theme park youtuber making a video from the rides? You really have done everything.
We used have a ghost train. The best ride we had was the crazy train was an amazing family coaster.
My local park too !Crazy train was great , a lot less at the park than there was few years back.

Certainly looks like a good little place, especially with that go-karting track, bowling/golf/bar complex and the pirate ship/drop tower by the water! Proof as well that you don't necessarily need a budget of millions to have a park that's nicely kept and quite well-themed.

funny seeing you in my “home park” after you’ve visited so many over the world
bit of history, they used to have go karts back in the 70/80’s and have brought back new electric go karts for 2020 to celebrate the 50th anniversary, so you’re one of the first to ride it! there had previously been a long flume in that spot

I'm actually at Codona's, Aberdeen today. 16th December 2021 and it's another beautiful day like in this video ! Can't believe it's so nice in the middle of December! Gonna give the Karting a try after we've ate.

There used to be a looping star coaster at dreamland .. years ago my favourite ride along with the Mary Rose . Never been to Scotland 🏴 would love to ..one day maybe ? Nice park
Danielle Reynolds I to went on the looping star at Dreamland margate .probably about 1989 . I was a very young 19 .
I remember going here when I was 8 and I was very nervous to go on the looping star Pinfari coaster on a small holiday with my family. I only just found out about a month ago that I have been on a Pinfari looper.

Codona do epic waltzers. The Starchaser model tours Scotland, and its my favourite
Years ago (and I mean YEARS!) they used to tour the Hellraiser waltzer, was awesome. Not sure if it still tours as I don't visit many fairs these days.

Great vlog in my home town. It has changed many times over the years. Lost many rides but still great for a few hours with the family. I'm going to one of your favourites in August (Thorpe Park) my first time. Have you been to Eftiling in Holland? The theming is excellent.
My home town park. Spent many a childhood summer there, was way better then. They used to have a great roller coaster (Galaxy) which they got rid off during the renovations. I worked and lived there in the early nineties. Usually worked on the sidewinder (dive bombers) with the dodgy brake handle that used to keep snapping off. The go-karts were brilliant back then too, we used to jump on the back of them to hitch a ride round to the gate that we opened to get them back into the station. Was fun until the kid who was driving went straight into the tyres with me on the back, went flying over the top and broke my wrist xD. Always wanted to work the waltzers but sadly not to be. The codonas are a great family and I loved working there. Thanks for sharing.

OMG shawn new park new cred , and that amazing new go-kart track for 2020 shame so many of the rides were sold off , i bet if you said that extra land could be used it would make for a great park , please do more in scotland when you can , love that you spilt footage over 2 channels

Although they’re pushing for better theming and more bespoke rides codonas was definitely better for thrill seekers 10 years ago. There was a pinfari looping coaster that was pretty intense due to the fact it really beat you up, a pinfari mine train which was good fun too, a log flume which was absolutely brilliant as well as a ghost train which was a good laugh

you should have walked more along the beachfront, aberdeen has a big harbour, it’s a known fishing town, and of course there’s boats that go off to all the oil rigs in the north sea
you can also see dolphins, and seals a bit further along the coast

Being 5 minutes away from clacton pier I’m pretty excited for the looping star to get moved over, the log flume is already up and running, becoming quite similar to Brighton pier now. Would be great to see you head down at some point
The looping star is rough as f**k but a total laugh all the same😂 hope you enjoy it as much as we all did!

Shawn I think you should try Innoflate in Aberdeen it’s a inflatable park and it’s fun and my brother owns the place too lots of love from Scotland 🏴
The looping coaster is being moved to Clacton pier Essex. The track is on sight but due to part of the pier collapsing while pouring the concrete foundations and structural problems with the pier it hasn't been and probably won't be assembled for a while now with the pandemic.

Aw mate I'd have came down for a dodgems 1v1 if I'd known you were up here haha! It's a shame the looping star and log flume were removed as they were really the best attractions cadonas had but understand rotating things to keep it fresh. Just no real thrills there now😕 The new pirate theming is a nice addition I will say however there old ghost train, looping star, log flume and crazy train coaster were the best back in the day. Nowadays, the laser tag and golf are the best things to do now. The outdoor golf needed a few repairs the last time I was down but still good. Laser tag was actually the bomb when I tried it for my nephew in laws birthday party but you need a group to make it worthwhile. Glad the weather was on side for you! Always cool to see a local place in a video👍

If only he went sooner because the caterpillar used to be on the floor and there was a giant roller coaster on the roof called the looping star personally it was the best but I’m very disappointed that they moved it more in fact they got rid of it it was one of the best rides there but so excited to watch this video as I am from Aberdeen! Do u know where the looping star is going?

I'd say SBF Visa inside. I don't don't know if there are any interesting coasters with inversions that are budget friendly that are still in production.

Oh dear!
Been there plenty times changed a bit since the last time but its a great place. The looping star was fun and the crazy train was a good middle ride but unfortunately due to a incedent that happend. Usually you would be able to get a full day on those ristbands but unfortunately it's changed due to the restrictions. The go karts are very new! As for some of the other rides they are a bit older. Where the go karts are used to be a water flumes. Enjoyed the video! Being a local to there it's wierd seeing it on youtube😂😂.

The music usually is loud in the waltzers etc but gets controlled by the operators.
Also if you were looking for some Aberdonian history, the science centre(I believe under renovation) was the old tram depot. And if you looking in the grass area just a cross the road from that area you were calling expansion area you can see a bit on path still there that has some of the original tram rail! Don't know if you realise that I'm a train enthisiast. Smugglers cove is a indoor and outdoor play area. Dodgems are good fun. Usually busy but with this pandemic it's obviously made it very quiet. They had a ghost train before but it was changed into a animal place. Its now part of the go kart ride.
You're right, it is usually loud, but we're not allowed to have it on due to coronavirus. I don't like doing the waltzers without the music either.

It was great to see Codona's get some recognition in one of your vlogs. It's such a shame you didn't get to see it in (my opinion) the best years. In the late 90s it had much more rides. You could easily spend an entire day there. They had the looping star rollercoaster, twister, log flume, and ghost train along with the waltzers, bumper cars, ferris wheel, and caterpillar coaster. During the summer holidays they'd also often get travelling rides set up on that grass area just outside the park. An all day wristband would cost less than £10 and included a meal. I always hoped they purchase the area next to the park an expand in to an even bigger park but I think it's kept empty for a reason.

@@rossbarney4321 yes Ross, I was going to comment the exact same. Do you remember the green ride the looped round in the 90s. Many of my childhood days spent in cadonas.
My competitive streak would kick in an i would be gutted i wouldn't ve able over take decent lap course tho on the go karts

Cool place. I'm curious does management know when you're coming to each individual amusement park? And you're basically doing a review of their Park? I've been meaning to ask you that for a very long time. Great video! You probably don't watch much TV a Starz show called Outlander is all filmed in Scotland and in the area you're in that's why on your other channel when you went through iverness I said if you walk through the stones we might not see you again because on the show she went from the 1930s to the 1700's lol
At the moment we don’t plan ahead and visit very last minute! Usually we do let parks know we’re coming but we haven’t this summer due to the virus and the different rules in place!

Mate u want a game over set of waltzers it may be a mission away for u but Walton pier in Essex is the hidden gem of waltzers. I have never thrown up on a waltzers but one go on these and by God was that a chunder blunder

The best thing that this park has ever done is once they closed their ghost train which sat where the go-karts are they turned it into a petting zoo and you'd walk round it the exact same route the ghost train took! Even the front fasade was still the same!

Being from Aberdeen,Codonas has been downgraded quite alot from what it used to be,My favourite ride is an unpopular choice,The dodgems! (Waltzers are amazing)
Codona's was really good at one point now it kinda sucks, cannot believe they removed the roof top coaster.
It’s a shame that it went from the roof, I do like the theming around the park though!
What's with them not using the huge grass area as extra space? Could fit so many new rides in that space.

Cadonas used to be at loudon Castle, they got into debt and ruined the place, I wish someone else would take over loudon Castle and improve it.
