- Join us as we head to Oakwood Theme Park in Wales for our annual visit. This action packed vlog is full of on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park including Megafobia, Speed and Drenched! We also check out the many changes at the park for this year including the latest addition to Oakwood, Dizzy Disk! We also share footage of this years upgraded summer show that features fireworks and lights set to an awesome soundtrack.
We also attended the European Coaster Club event where we were lucky enough to be able to camp next to the theme park and have various different extra ride sessions and much more throughout the weekend!

On a lot of roller coasters the drop gives you that weird feeling. Does Drenched have that feeling?
It does indeed
Hmmph. That is the one thing I really don't like on roller coasters and other rides. Looks like I'll have to push through it whenever I get to Oakwood next and ride it for the first time. It is not just Speed I am afraid of, but Drenched too. It is how steep the drop is and that feeling. I'll probably beat it though. I conquered Megafobia in 2018 so I can do Speed and Drenched.
Because you have discussed your love for Dark Rides in other videos is there any chance you will do a top 10 all time favourite Dark rides?
I plan on doing more videos like this over winter!

Honestly, this park looks like it would be my favorite in all of the UK. It has the type of rides I like, more so then the bigger ones like Alton Towers or even Blackpool.
If I were in charge of this park, I'd play up the wooden coaster aspect of the park, and the next coaster I'd get is another wooden coaster. Maybe a Gravitykraft/Gravity Group. Maybe something similar like Ravine Flyer II at Waldameer Park in Erie Pennsylvania.

Another awesome vlog Shawn. Oakwood is my local park, just 40 minute drive from us. Was so lucky to meet you, Alex and Lee that day, thank you so much for stopping for a photo when you came off Skull Rock. I love watching your annual ride on waterfall on the Welsh weekender videos. This year I was lucky enough to watch it live and then rewatch it today on your video 😁
It’s very weird that megafobia needs to stop on the lift when running two trains. Stopping the lift every time is horrible for the lift motor. I’ve never seen another coaster that has to stop on the lift whenever it runs two trains.

See I’ve done a ride like waterfall in another place (nochhatch, think I spelt that right lol) and they are honesty not that hard to stay on 😂. I’ve done it loads of times and I sear I’ve never fallen in. Never seen anyone do it in person either lol. Don’t know if that’s cause I’m a 20 year old who’s about the size of a 13 year old or not but people taller than me have done it without falling in 😂😂. I mean it’s more funny when people do tho 😂😂

If Oakwood do shows like that twice a week, why don't some of the larger theme parks in the UK do something like that, even if it's just a fountain show or something like that

on megaphobia the whole first time through i screamed all the way and passed out-
but all the other times i put my hands out,
and i went to a night one too and it was so cool fireworks and the lights were lit up (,:
i also went on drenched twice and it was cold and i got ill, but i got better nearer the end (:

The next time you visit Thorpe park I dare you to ride colossal and while you riding to try and name as many rollercoaster you can
My friend dared me to do it on the smiler with 14 loops and I got ........17 rides named and I hope to beat it when I ride it again
You can only name rides from Alton towers Thorpe park and Blackpool pleasure beach but you have to do it on colossal I dare you to beet my attempt

I'm living in Ireland but i'd love to join a RollerCoaster enthusiast group, I wanna start travelling to Theme Parks. I'm 36 if i don't do it now i'll probably never do it lol

Were your camping is it a proper site on the theme park if I went I'd rather stay somewhere close because it's a long drive there and back.

I live in wales so I go there a lot so, to everyone coming to wales for the first time go to the after dark experience in Oakwood and you should definitely go to blue lagoon (a water park with slides and a wave machine and more!) there amazing!!!! And the “ tent” thing that you saw is the dome I’ve never been in but I was told it’s good!
i swear megaphobia gave me whip lash bahaha so did speed but ive been there loads now so im used to it
looks like an ordinary park to me. Megaphobia looks not very exciting in my opinion. I still love THEMEPARK WORLDWIDE'S VLOGS! shawn numero uno!

Very quiet! I went to Oakwood first and only time last year around summer and drenched was queueing out of its entrance, it’s the first time I’ve ever bought a fast track
They have a ride just like Waterfall at Water Country, near Busch Gardens. It’s a classic and I ride it every time I go!

As a local 🏴 I ride Megafobia loads but never manage to get a loose restraint. Earlier this month I didn't realise my loose lap bar, I soon did though after the first drop, the airtime was I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E

If bounce was mine I would completely scrap it and just invest in another shot tower and a way better one. Because it not worth maintaining an old ride that’s gonna be to expensive to maintain when you probably have just bought a new ride just to maintain an old one.
Is Speed no limit, the same model coaster as the one at Coney Island. The sound and layout look similar

I’m the youngest in my family (I’m 11 and my favourite rides are drenched and speed) and I like skull rock because I get to go in the front :) it’s the best
Hey when I went on Bobsleigh my shoe came off and it got stuck in my tracker thing and I can't get it out so I had to stay there for about 7 minutes

Has Andy told you about his visit to the Bremer Freimarkt last year? Seems that he really enjoyed it. This year it takes place from oct 18th to nov 3rd - which btw lines up nicely with the Halloween event at HeidePark. At that time of year you are in for a couple of nice littlee night rides on Colossos... ;-)
