- In this vlog I head to the Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare to ride all of the different attractions on offer at the amusement park located inside a building at the end of the pier. Join me as I share on and off ride footage from all of the rides including the Robo Arm, Ghost Train, Go Karts and many other awesome attractions. I also experience the different walk through attractions on offer at the pier and much more!

There's a good reason why. They are electric and the track isn't wide enough. I've been Karting in Cornwall and that was from petrol and faster. There are Go-Karts which are them, Karts that I've been on in Cornwall and Super Karts for proper races like F1
Yeah. I'm a go kart lover but when I went on these 2 years back they were the slowest things I've ever been on. It might be quick for some but when you compare it to a engine

Never heard of this place before but it looks awesome! As you said, the UK definitely need more indoor parks which are a lot bigger as the weather has been bad recently.
I remember years ago at Legoland in Billund, they had a huge roomful of those robot arms! I wanted to put it on level 1 but my mate chose 5! So intense!
I’ve been on one of those robo arm things in Legoland Denmark billund
I’ll have go get out to Legoland Billund at some point!
I'm embarrassed to admit Weston is where I live.
Looks nice on the face of it for the holidaymakers but scratch a little deeper and sadly it's been taken over by drunks and drug addicts.
Just got back from 2 days at Alton Towers and I think I would much rather live up the neck of the woods where Shawn lives.
I really enjoyed my visit, however I can completely see how it may be different if you live there!
Used to be great back in the 1990s before all the rehab centres were built attracting addicts from everywhere. But it isn't as bad as some make it out to be though.
Definitely is a grand pier!

Have very great memories of my childhood from Weston super mare. They used to have a train that used to go up and the pier.

The Legolands on the mainland and California have Kuka arm rides (Power Builder, Ice Pilots School [rethemed when Polar X-plorer was installed, and Knights Tournament [which is 6 arms and outside]). I wonder why Windsor's fell through, it would have been indoors most likely due to weather. Makes Windsor have a much smaller demograh, but with Chessinghton and Thorpe near by with more and more thrilling rides I can see that it was planned prior to the Merlin take over, but they pulled the plug on it.

I have been here so many times! I went a few weeks ago with my family for 3 nights we stayed in a hotel 10 minutes away. The go karts are fun and the ghost train is great!
Not a bad pier a pt all, however those go karts won’t winning any racing awards any time soon.

I love the placement of the robo arm. I enjoyed the one I rode at Legoland, but flipping above an arcade with all those lights would probably make it even more disorienting.

I’m disappointed in that halter skelter it’s normal amazing it’s taken multiple layers of skin from my leg before oh and the help button on the Chrystal maze just turns on the light trail which points you to the exit

I Think going on the Robor Arm....as you first walked in at a Price of £5 is a bit of a rip off .. As from What I timed that was 80 Seconds...1min 23 seconds I believe.. If It's Included On Your Wrist Band then fair enough..but if as you said on the Website that it didn't show that wristbands were either there to be bought or not On that particular day.... and that it made out that you Pay For Each Ride Once in there and after Paying a £1 just to get in there, then Some people after paying the £1 and Just going to Individual rides and paying for that One ride at the Price they ask ...Would feel they've been Had and Let Down by This Ride...and Not Greeted but Cheated .....Never the Less Great Vlog

In terms of theming and atmosphere, I'd say this is one of the better ghost trains in the Country, but in my opinion it's ruined by the cage. I think it would be scarier and more immersive if you were more exposed. Btw Shawn, have you done the ghost train at Weymouth? It's excellent.

What is the Alton Towers dungeon like I am Nervous is lee wood still working at Alton Towers and Harry and would you like to have a ride on wicker man with me and my mom and when I come can I have a free theme park world wide mask
The Dungeon is good but nothing social! We sell our face masks in our online shop!
An SBF Spinning coaster would go well in the pier and if they moved some of the arcade machines out of the way one would definitely fit the entrance area between the ghost train and the drop tower
It would be a great addition for them!

Check at out the electric karts at hemsby u will be amazed by them there absolutely rapid and far better than petrol ones the power on them is instant aswell

I visited for the first time this February and I also whacked myself right into the mirrors in the maze - glad I'm not the only one. 😂 Crazy to think how different life felt just 7 months ago. I had so many plans and completely took all that freedom for granted!

I love how on Sidewinder, even though it's such a tiny ride you're still securely locked up in over-the-shoulder restraints. I'm so glad they've paid such attention to safety and put secure totally escape-proof restraints on it!
I remember the old pier before the 2008 fire, it had a bowling alley and a ferris wheel as well as a massive fun house. Have many fond memories as both child and adult on the pier.
I was just thinking an SBF Visa. Some arcades in the states have been installing them.

Amazing "wristband" action on the pier you Deffo saved money that roboarm is great you have to go on extreme setting deffo. How many times did you pass your car test did you say you on them go-karts lol fun house was great and dodgems and shame that pier mesuem is a up charge grrr shame you missed funland in the tropcanna but I hope Brean is good long vlog

I have family in Weston as a boy I was always scared of the gorilla that was on top of the ghost train that was there before the fire, I used to go on the second pier just around the bay, been closed for years now, but happy memories, Thanks for the evening of Three great Vlogs, we have had a great armchair adventure!

Mate, £15 is nothing It wouldn't even pay the staff wages on the attractions, let alone the cleaning and future investment.
We spent £60 in joyland yesterday, then did the model village and a session in pleasure beach.
I don't know why you seem to break into a cold sweat when you spend over £10.
Don't get me wrong, the channel is good and it's good to see all these places and what's changed every year, but maybe state prices and don't really focus on it for the entire video.
Thanks for your feedback. As mentioned I feel like £15 is good value for here, especially with how expensive the rides are individually compared to other attractions!
TheMightyImp2 because some people are on a tight budget and if they are planning to come they need to know what things cost and if it’s worth the trip .
I miss Weston pier so much! I moved to Stoke on Trent last December from Bristol and I miss popping to Weston for a few hours. Bonus is that I'm close to Alton Towers now so silver linings :) There Used to be a roller coaster on the pier right at the back of the pier outside that hung out over the end of the pier but it wasn't there for long I don't think.
Also do you know if Winter Wonderland is going ahead this year?
