Irons was a way more interesting villain than Stuart BECAUSE he didn't kill many people. That makes him a whole lot more unique and refreshing than a kill-crazy, psychopathic murderer like Other action villains while ALSO separating him from his brother Hans, who had no problem killing. Some of his lines are DELIBERATELY cheesy because he's pretending to be someone else entirely in those moments, but his legit quips as himself are fine. If you didn't like them, fine, but there's no reason to get pissed at the people who do because the lines are fine. Jackson gets praise because he works off John's wit and pissed off nature by contributing his own variety of pissed off nature. They have awesome chemistry on screen, and their relationship is greatly and believably developed from the barrier of racism to actual friendship by the end

Really plays with your emotions and the intensity. Truly iconic this theme is. A legendary film, from such an iconic storyline of John McClane. A film that comes very close to the first film in being the greatest with the first film being first. A legendary cast, storyline, soundtracks, comedy, lots of action, intensity and emotion. Bruce Willis as John McClane truly never fails, and adding Samuel really makes it even more dynamic & iconic. A building heist and a member of the Gruber family. I was thinking Hans Gruber's unknown son, Han's Gruber Junior would be perfect. I think Benedict Cumberbatch would be perfect for the role, I can visual a scene where he talks to a captured Maclane about how he is perplexed by the fact that both his father and Uncle were off'd by Maclane.

I think they need to do one more Die Hard though because the 5th film was shocking in every way. People say Die Hard 2 was weak, that's a fucking epic compared to 'Good Day to Die Hard.' The first and third films were further proof that Brits make the best bad guys though. William Sadler in the second film was fairly forgettable - though the writing didn't help him. Best movie from the franchise. Yes 1 was also very good but for me this movie is a lot more fluent. Hans Groober was an awesome antagonist but Simon wins that for me as well. Jeremy Irons played it especially well and the whole script is a lot more fun. And to be honest from the very beggining he was the only one who outplayed McClane. Had several moment when he could kill him instead of playing his game and manage to steal the gold right off the police noses. Samuel L Jackson too is a very good sidekick with lots of cool speech.
Same opinion on that! One thing: In 1-3 he tries to save as many lifes as possible, in 5 he puts many lifes at risk at the car chase at the beginning of the movie AND seems happy while doing it. Love all the Die Hard's but vengeance my favorite. Best storyline, 1 of best movie bank heists I seen and awesome bad guy. The main bad guy played his character really well. The bank heist I would have to say is my favorite scene in the movie.
Jeremy irons is one of my favourite actors ever... And this is my favourite die hard... Though I feel a rushed ending... But the story and the plot of the heist is incredible

@@inmysights1 Yeah the third one technically isn't set during christmas, BUT, they are multiple christmas references. The kid on the bike saying "its christmas, you could steal city hall", and also when Charlie is defusing the school bomb he is quietly singing verses from 12 days of christmas.
