In my youth I put 36 hours in it and completed it 193% It was one of my favorite wii games

I liked this game I played this when I was 11, but as I remembered it, I remembered how I was disappointed because of some repetitive gameplay and that one level where you have to stop those flamethrower druids from burning up the rebel frigate. To be honest, that one level if not the entire game felt more like work than fun.
I agree with you, it was a worthwhile game, I think he just needs to get better at the game and not complain. I was hoping this video wouldn't be clickbait.

two things i WILL give this version of the game: One, the reason for Starkiller to flee and search for Juno. in the HD version, it's not killing a Proxy-Juno that sets him off- that is what happens in the Wii version, but no, it's a random vision of Vader impaling the original. i would've liked that to be the reason, especially since they wait until after the training segment to bring out "Juno" instead of letting her be "attacked" the whole time and stopping because plot reasons.
and 2: the Salvation. The HD game has the Salvation as a Nebulon-B, which is far smaller then it should be in the game, unless this was a prototype for a bigger model. in the Wii version, it's a Assault Frigate MK.2, which is far bigger. Then there's the Boba Fett chase. in the HD, it's a couple cutscenes then he's gone, with what happened to him and Juno needing to be explained in a tie-in comic. in the Wii version, you actually get to chase him and have a couple QTE events with him and the Droid Walker. You even see him deliver Juno to Vader.
there are a few more thing:, like the Dagobah cave being playable, The Outrider making a cameo during the Kamino Space Battle, some annoying segments from the HD game being removed.
but yeah, in terms of Gameplay, HD wins hands-down. I just wish they would combine the storytelling and cutscene styles of the quote unquote "lesser" versions with the graphics and gameplay of the HD. same is true for the first game, too
Heck no, the Hd version gameplay is janky and the powers are terrible. In the Wii version, the controls and gameplay are fluid and the combat is better
The Wii isn’t the lesser version. The Wii version is the superior version. The Wii versions gameplay and graphics are better FACTUALLY better. And no you are wrong, Same isn’t true for the first game.
Force Unleashed 1 (Wii) had force choke.

The Wii’s version combat is better non negotiable.
@@firestriker3580 The graphic’s were not better on the Wii. (As someone who grew up with the Wii). One was made on the Wii, and one was made on Xbox, non negotiable.
It's hard to beat the first port by Krome, but it seemed like Red Fly tried considering the environmental destruction. Somewhere between then and release was either a loss of time, budget, or interest.
Apparently they blazed ahead within their constraints and are quite proud of the project? I truly have no idea what happened.

This game and The Force Unleashed was so much fun to play on The Wii because i love The controls and gameplay and multiplayer with your friends :)

No one's come forward with an answer. Tried some investigating on my own, but no luck. It doesn't seem like Krome and Lucas Arts were on bad terms or anything, so it's really confusing. However, given how bizarre TFU II's devs' experience was with that cancelled Maul game... I think things were getting really weird at LA before they shut down.

Well, as a Wii player for over 10 years, I have to say that the part about using the Wii Remote to do certain things in the game is the best part.
I've also used the Wii for over 10 years. And in that time, I can say with absolute certainty that the control decisions for TFU II are ones almost never made by any other dev team who understood how the platform works. Especially those who didn't want their players' controllers flying into the TV if they didn't wear a wrist strap.

By no means am I calling the game the best, but I don’t think it’s as bad as you say. I don’t play a lot of games to judge them, I just play them for fun. This was a childhood game of mine, and while I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first game, I still fairly enjoyed. I will say it definitely has its flaws, but it’s not the worst game out there
I literally picked it up specifically because it was supposed to be fun. I don't go out of my way to review things that I don't think have some potential.
Some, like this particular title, fail to live up to that expectation.
Not to mention darth Vader on unleashed difficulty is impossible without the invincibility cheat
This game was the first time I felt genuinely robbed. Not long after beating it I played the HD version at a friend’s house and was wowed by how superior it was. Thankfully I ended up buying the better version.
Honestly I preferred it to the PS3 version as a kid
You can reflect Vaders lightsaber throw in phase 1 if I remember for an opening

I have Force Unleashed II on the XBox 360, and while it's fun, I've always been disappointed by its lack of variety regarding boss fights and environment, and I've also found the narrative to be rather bland and unengaging as well. But with this review, what you've done, has done something special. You've made me APPRECIATE the 360 version, because there is no way in HELL it is as bad as what you've described. 5:10-5:30 I get that feeling whenever I play against anything bigger than a stormtrooper in both force unleashed games but only on the HD versions. What I hate about HD force unleashed 2 is how short the game is while also having you fight a giant robot every few rooms having me resort to using force powers where what got me hooked into the first game was using force powers and lightsaber combat to against scores of basically fodder enemies and save anything bigger as a boss fight.
Also I think the wii version of Force Unleashed 1 and 2 feel more rewarding to play on higher difficulties or replay because you get things like cheats that allow you to trivialize the game as a senseless fun option unlike the HD versions that just give you a bunch of cosmetics, challenges and no horde mode like DMC’s bloody palace.
I think you're looking for a musuo game like Dynasty Warriors or Hyrule Warriors. That should scratch that itch far better than The Force Unleashed, especially Hyrule Warriors.
Unabridged Gamer I have seen dynasty warriors and thought it looked fun, but I was thinking along the lines of ninja Gaiden or dmc where they throw in a bunch of enemies that can match you or gang on you if you don’t pay attention and don’t rely on facing a giant sponge constantly like the walkers or droids in Force Unleashed 2.
This is also coming from playing NG Black, 2, and 3 and realizing that nothing you do do carries over into a higher difficulty playthrough and the rewards don’t feel like they equate to the time and effort that I put in. Kinda like how Dmc 3 and onwards gives you a costume with infinite super mode and healing if you beat the game on the hardest difficulty.

You don’t need to aim with the Wii remote to do anything actually. With the force grip it automatically chooses who’s in front of the character, to throw them you still gotta whip the remote right left or in front of you. For inanimate objects you just force grip and use the joystick you don’t need to use the Wii remote at all
what really suprises me is the amount of gore in this version i mean you cut stormtroopers in half. Iam aware that the pc version had dismemberment aswell but not to such an extend. Even weirder that the pc version received an usk 16 rating and the wii version only an usk 12 (usk 16 is like a mix between T-R rating while usk 12 is just T)

The only thing I don't really like about the game though is that there is Maris Brood, Darth Vader, Proxy, the one guy who turns invisible (forgot his name), Rham Kota, and Asajj Ventress, but the guy that turns invisible on my disc copy for the wii does not show up on the wiki or anything, any answers?
That'd be because he's one of Vader's purge troopers - the OG version. He's just a basic infantry unit.
Pretty much the same exact version we would've got if this game was released for the PS2.
Standard version of the games were always superior, not in graphics, but in story presentation, gameplay, and fun factor.

I think you meant to leave this comment for the video on the first game? Because The Force Unleashed II only ever released on the Wii and DS besides the HD version.
The key difference is that the PS2 version has the least unique features besides enhanced ragdoll physics. PSP version has the most content and online multiplayer. The Wii is the PS2 game but slightly better graphics and with the 1 v 1 duel mode inspired by Powerstone.

I wonder if this game might benefit from a Switch port a la the Krome version of TFU, where motion controls were made entirely optional. The Force might actually become somewhat useable.
It'd mildly fix things far as controls, but not much else, I fear.

There's a handful of enemies you can. They have to be fully armored though, no faces showing.

Indeed... well, Lucas Arts' take isn't horrendous or anything, just deeply flawed due to the absolutely bonkers executives they were working under.

I loved this game on the wii and even liked it more than either of the ps3 versions .
Meh. I liked the wii version more than the 360. I enjoyed playing both games and had fun. The 360 were more of a challenge but even without the high difficulty. Wasn’t as fun as my wii experience

I have Both Games on the Wii I loved them as a kid but now that I'm an adult I bought myself a PS3 and my friend Got me the PS3 versions of Both Games and I prefer the PS3 versions

Unabridged Gamer No offense but they look unprofessional and useing black sides and only useing the box cover looks like a 12 year olds first lets play. Tumbnails can sadly decided how many views a video get. Try looking at other reviewers and do something simlar but still original to yourself. And try to be eye catching but not clickbatey.
The black sides is actually UA-cam - I'm not a fan of the letterboxing they automatically do, but my image editing skills are limited. What exactly would you consider eye catching but not clickbait? Any examples from other channels?
Graphics aren't exactly the most important part and I must be blinded by nostalgia because it felt like the Wii version had a lot more content than the Xbox version. I don't even remember his main ability, force repulsion, being present in the Xbox version.
Um, yes, Force Repulse is one of your primary abilities in all versions. They built an entire advertisement just about it and how it could immolate weakened enemies the second time around.

To be honest we all have our opinions, but this is a game from 2010 and reviewing it 8 years later, of course you probably wouldn't like it, it is sort of old Gen, and gen has bad graphics (according to games nowadays) but I loved this game Put more than 100 hours in this game its a wonder my Wii did not explode, but this game is great in my opinion, and i still love this game it was just simply fun.
I played Quake for the first time in back in the 2010's and it's one of my favorite games of all time. Same for Unreal Gold, Bloodrayne, Alien: Resurrection for PS1, and Mysteries of the Sith, among others.
Age isn't really a factor for me. Quality is. You can enjoy this one all you want, but enjoying something doesn't mean denying its faults.

Why is this game so much worse than the first one? Honest FU1 on the Wii was incredible and I beat it 3 times. I got FU2 on Xbox and didn’t even finish it
It's a completely different developer, using their own in-house tech and assets. This used to be a common thing in the industry. It's far less the case nowadays.

I beat the Vader Boss when I was 6, sounds to me like you have a skill issue.
I'm not sure what's more baffling to me - that the viewer comprehension of these "you've got a skill issue" comments ignore the part where I point out the rest of the game is massively too easy, or that you're seriously arguing that the game you've got "mad skillz" over is... The Force Unleashed II for Wii.
That's like bragging about being able to drift in a toy forklift - like, sure, maybe you can, but is it really relevant or a skill anyone else is concerned with? Let alone that you feel the need to defend as some weird self-justification for playing it?

My friend played this on his Xbox and it was different than what I played so we swapped consoles to experience the differences. The Wii has the better one in my opinion and my friend said Xbox was better.

I've done multiple reviews praising the aesthetics of Wii games. Particularly, Cybertron Adventures and the original Force Unleashed This art direction i fundamentally weaker than most.
Arguing over the story of Force Unleashed II is fruitless because even Haden Blackman has admitted he barely had two weeks to write it and wasn't happy with the direction they took for the narrative.
I lay out all my points rather clearly - it's awkward to control, visually unappealing, missing depth, has worse presentation, and despite being longer it has far less to do in that extra time afforded.
Not sure how else you'd want that conveyed to "make sense"?

Disney wasn't acquiring Lucasfilm at that time. The poor decision making at LucasArts was due to the ousting of Jim Ward and the new management being a bunch of short-sighted bean counters.

Um....what? The things you are complaining about are not problems with wii controls or the game. Its a problem with you being unfamiliar with how to play wii games. Force grip is absolutely amazing in this game on wii. You are clearly not comfortable with these sorts of controls. There are countless videos online of ppl playing this and none of them are having thr issues you are having. I very much dislike seeing the wii unfairly slammed. Yes it was a very flawed console but it was capable of amazing things. The problem is so many ppl just assumed everything is broken and doesnt work. Completely failing to see the difference between real flaws and things that just require a learning curve. There is nothibg slow or clumsy about force grip in this game on wii. I would like to see if you have ever played a game with ANY wii remote pointer control. You probly think Metroid Prime 3 and later the entire prime trilogy wii controls are broken too haha.
Dude, I have zero issue with the Wii. I keep my Wii-U plugged in and at the ready to revisit the many, many Wii/Wii-U games and ports I've picked up over the years.
Maybe take ten seconds and notice one of the games I've rated highest on this channel is the Wii port of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
I literally am working on replicating Dead Zone aiming in Unreal Engine to capture the responsiveness of Red Steel 2.
TFU 2 for Wii is just a bad game. It'd be bad if it was on any console. I even tried it purely emulated with KB&M controls, and it still feels like a mess to play.
If anything, you're doing a disservice to the Wii to insist -this- is the best to be asked of it when the likes of Deadly Creatures, Red Steel 2, Conduit 1-2, Trauma Center, Krome's Force Unleashed 1 port, and even homebrew ports like Quake Wii make vastly better use of the console.

I can't argue with any of that, the games you mentioned are ones that I've went on and on about for years and most ppl don't care or haven't even heard of them. I can't believe you mentioned red steel 2. Imo it's the greatest example of what the Wii was capable of doing. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. While I still say the force unleashed 2 controls fine, that's a seperate issue from my faulty assuming judgements. Clearly I am wrong and I'm sorry for that. I will def be taking those 10 seconds or maybe bit more and check out your channel.
