WWE 2K15 is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and Visual Concepts, and is published by 2K Sports for the PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
The Story Creator mode was taken out completely. Not just in the next gen versions but also the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions.

I got the PS3 version for Christmas 2014, and used it to simulate both WWF and WCW in 1992, including having Hogan vs. Flair at WrestleMania 8.
Quick note--and this applies to pretty much every next-gen WWE game after 2k15...but basically, the reason chain wrestling stops happening after a few tries is because it would only happen when both wrestlers are on the first level of stamina. After that level's exhausted the minigame won't happen.
Man, coming from 2K14 to this was definitely a huge letdown. Can’t believe how they thought this was ok.
The generation transitional titles tend to be the most painful ones.

Just Some Guy What about SvR 2008? That was the true transitional title. SvR 2007 only transitioned to the Xbox 360, while SvR 2008 made it to not only the PS3, but also the Wii and Nintendo DS

The WWE 2k17 graphics blow WWE 2k15 out of the water, 2k have manage to make a noticeable improvement within a generation, kudos to them.

Now look at WWE 2K19 it’s so much better than WWE 2K17 not just graphics wise but the 2K showcase was brought back and MyCareer improved And Payback ability’s introduced.
I prefer this and 2k16 better. The new ones are way too saturated. The character models looked pinkish. 2k22 looks like this 2k15/16 which is how the programming we see on TV looks like so I'm happy

I got lucky I skipped this one. I got back into it with 2K16. The arena selection was great in this game. I wish they had these in the new one

I agree...better in every way. 2K16 is my favorite wrestling game, and I grew up playing all the classics. Kind of a bummer there's no backstage areas, but that's easily forgivable

But the showcase mode kept me a bit engaged in this game unlike the barren 2k18
The only wwe game I actually preferred playing more on PS3 than PS4, sure there were still some features removed from 2k14 but overall the game goes from sucking on current gen, to a surprisingly decent and fun wrestling game on last gen with 100 caw slots and arena creation, sure there wasn't a career mode but that doesn't make up for what was missing in the next gen version at the time, although 2k15 on PS3/360 still kinda sucks compared to 13/2k14 I think it's still miles better than the current gen version

At least we still had 15, 16, and 17 on ps3 and x box 360 whichwas similar to wwe smackdown vs raw11, WWE 12, 13, & wwe 2k14. Had all the great match types from those games
While its copied from 2K14, the 7th gen versions of 2K15 retains everything but the create-a-story, but everything there is in tact. It also has a different story mode called Who Got NXT. Just thought i'd let you know. :3
Blazikenpwnsyou weird that 2K couldn’t barely have any creation suite on the next gen but last gen does what i don’t understand that also because next gen has more space on it so it can do a bunch of stuff but 2K didn’t do much on next gen on their first WWE game weird.

I had this on PS3, literally bought it for Sting, haha. It was okay, but on PS3, I dont remember it being any different than the games before it. It did let you create your own arena, though. That was cool : p

Tbh, I felt like it was WWE 12 but with a different roster and the ability to create arenas : p I did enjoy it though, I enjoyed having a bunch of WCW stars and being able to download really well made WCW arenas.
I felt exactly the same as you did when I got this game. I only played it a few times and never played it again. I hadn't been this disappointed with a WWE game since wrestlemania on the Xbox 360. And just like you I avoided 2k16, well that, and because cm punk was on the cover. Lol. Keep up the awesome job on your videos, your channel is like a hidden gem on UA-cam. Hope you get more subscribers

Compare these graphics to wwe2k22. These graphics looks very real.
2K15 was a very disappointing wrestling game. I remember being let down week after week as 2k announced the stuff that they were taking out. I think this game was stripped down because of the transition from current gen to next gen as they had to write new code and work with the new technology. Its just like Just Bring It from the transition from PS1 to PS2. Short season mode, less match types etc. However in spite of all that I said, it still liked the game. I'm more of a simulation fan then arcade fan and they did include a lot of gameplay improvements. I remember marking out the fatigue finishers and crawling pins, definitely added to the drama of the match, the OMG moments were also pretty nice. I was also a fan of the Showcase Mode since I am a huge fan of the ruthless aggression era. And this game did build a really good foundation for the later games. I think things are looking up for the 2K series and to be honest, I would rather play 2K17 than any game from SvR 09-2K14.

The submission on WWE 2K15 is just mash one button A or X depending on what console you play on you gotta mash it really fast though.
JBI was far better than this. JBI was still a fundamentally awesome game and it did add stuff everybody wanted like full on entrances. And the season mode was fun at the time you just had to play it a bunch but that was fine with me.

I have this for PS3 and it was easily the worst WWE game since SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, the only saving grace for this was the Cena/Punk, Path of The Warrior and Michaels/HHH showcases, congrats on another fantastic review :)

The last games had a fantastic mix of past,present,and even future WWE,along with the roster and creation tools to make spot on ECW,WCW,TNA,ANYTHING.
This game,however,was the first modern WWE focused game...and that’s not a compliment

I like WWE 2K15 I played the xbox 360 version more since I didn't upgrade to xbox one until a year later but the next gen is good for what it is all though I hate when features are taken away rather than being added.but I do appreciate the graphics they blew me away the first time I played it just looks more real than ever it's really amazing to see how far the WWF/WWE games have come what will they look like in 5 or 10 years from now?.NikateeN thanks for these awesome vids as long as you post them I will indeed watch them and are there anymore arena showcase vids coming soon hope they are I enjoy that series too anyways keep up the good work dude👍🙂.

Another thing that always bothered me during this period of WWE video games is the audio for ring introductions, the ring announcers sound too arena-seated and synthetic.

WWE 2K15 was the very first WWE game to feature the Chris Benoit CAW ban, but when the later WWE 2K games came out years later, the Benoit CAW ban was lifted, which was stupid. And that's not all: the WrestleMania 20 triple threat match is mentioned in this game, but it is never featured. It was the tiple threat match where Benoit beat HBK and Triple H for the World Heavyweight title, which now a forgotten match because Benoit's real-life double-murder/suicide. I can understand why WWE does not want to mention Benoit's name again, but what was the point in mentioning the WrestleMania 20 triple threat match in the game, anyway? That makes no sense.

The gameplay is actually better then even 2k19 , only because 2k15 they were going for realsim and the gameplay is more slower and realstic
I honestly don't hate this game much as everyone else does but I do agree that it's a letdown coming off of 2k14 with it's lackluster roster, underwhelming campaign mode and lack of decent amount of match types.
I haven't played a good WWE 2K game since 2K14. 2K15 was awful and put me off buying 2K16.
I got 2K16 free with games with gold and played an hour of it never to play it again as it felt no different which again led me not to buy 2K17.
Now some people might like them but for universe mode but that mode doesn't appeal to me at all I'm more about the showcase and have found it really lacking in the previous games. Hopefully 2K18 rectifies that.

I hope you review the Ps3/360 version of 2K15, It's practically a different game with the same Showcases and roster, in my opinion it's also the superior game.
Not even close alot of people who reviewed it said stay away from it and stick with 14/13 and they were right

i like how you add the desert theme from marvel vs capcom 2 its one of my favorite stages and game and i didnt hate 2k15 that much i enjoy the 2k showcase in my view i always thought and say its a beta or build up to 2k16

Actually bought this game in 2022 to see what the first next gen Yuke's WWE game was like and man, it's really not great. Tons of stuff just gone from 2K14, hardly any modes or anything to do, the roster is worse, the new gameplay features are basically just the same gimmickry they experimented with earlier games just presented as new (chain wrestling). Getting 2K19 in the mail now but I can't imagine it isn't a huge improvement over this game. The graphics don't even impress me. You can't even create a title!
SD!2 to JBI was a little underwhelming sure and it lost the Season Mode but at least the entire game didn't feel like a significant downgrade

I played 2 matches of this game and turned it off and never played it again. I did immediately hook up my Nintendo 64 and put in WWF No Mercy.
The number of included Arena's and Showcase mode would probaly be the most positive about this game .honestly I think id' pay no more than 10 bucks for this game

@@e93sports80 According to Bryan Williams on Everything Pro Wrestling Podcast, 2K14 was finished by Yuke's and THQ (despite them having declared for bankruptcy) and 2K's deal went through so they put their name on it. The first game that actually had 2K and Visual Concepts' input was this game 2K15 and Williams details that process in his interview.

The last gen version was almost exactly the same as 2K14. The only differences are the rosters, arenas, and showcase.
i tried to like 2k15 but everything just felt off to me. even on PS3. luckily 2k16 fixed these issues. i will say this PS3/360 versions of this game does have a better CAW and the ability to use your own music in 2k15,2k16 and 2k17.

The only thing this game did better in my opinion than the other 2k games is the stamina system.. it was more dramatic and I loved the epic finishers when both men where out on the matt
I forgot how bad this game was but then again I had the last gen which has more features but this game was where I really became good and comptive at these games because I would go to my friend's house and his cousins will be there and we all would play this game I did the same with 2k14 but I was terrible and I was able to have inf finishers but in 2k15 I had the deal with stamina and people playing wwe games longer than I have so yeah it was fun

I hate how they change the mat bump sounds, they got them right in 2k14, they didn't need to change them, even in the current releases they still haven't changed them which is pure laziness.
This game was so bad I didn't even play 2k16. I hope In 2k18 they put in GM Mode
