Hey Rachel, I don’t know if this topic is too off limits for you or if you’re uncomfortable talking about finances, but if you aren’t, would love a video about the costs of med school (not just tuition but cost of living while going to med school) because I’m an undergrad right now and I’m already pretty stressed about how to pay for med school once I get there! But if you aren’t comfortable talking about it I totally understand, it can be touchy. Wish you the best!

I use a whiteboard to help me study. I read my notes write the concepts and say it while I am writing it. ( I am very big written learner and it helps) if anyone wants a little tip. I use it in general physiology

Oh wow, I can’t believe I am actually watching this vlog that I’ve been waiting impatiently after 11hours 😭😔 I am a psychology student and I’ve poor time management any tip for that will be appreciated
I'm pre-med and use to have poor time management. A friend of my gave me a few tips that have really worked well. 1. Set alarm notifications on your phone for times you want to study, stop studying, do a certain task, and so on. 2. Make sure you give yourself at least an hour a day to do whatever you enjoy. 3. Make a schedule with your personal tasks and your syllabi at the beginning of each term. Plan a study schedule around that and if you don't have enough time to study, look to see where you can cut time.
Can you go over specifically what you do when you go through each lecture? First you watch it, but then do you go over that same lecture that same day?
How do you study for 7-8 hours a day with classes and everything? Just wondering lol not exactly sure how med school timetables are or anything like that.

libra star if it’s mechanisms you struggle with an easy way to revise them is to draw out huge flowcharts of them, remove the reactants/conditions and photocopy the flowcharts, then fill in the blanks. Also write out/make up questions about different reactions etc and answer them, then a couple days later answer again (without any notes this time) and compare. I also find anki useful for flashcards, and blurting (jaded Jade has a video on this technique). Just try as many different types of active recall as possible. Also, plan your spacing - spaced repetition is super useful for long term memory. Cover something a week after a lecture, recover two weeks after that, a month after that, 2 months after that etc etc

Exercise increases BDNF, which improves memory. So yes, exercising while studying would theoretically help you better retain the material!
