Honestly, I was SO nervous before my first day of residency - I debated even filming these raw moments, but I'm so happy that I did. I am excited to look back to this day and see how far I've come, and I also hope that this video offers some inspiration or support to anyone with dreams of becoming a doctor someday too! It ended up being a day that I will never forget!!

Hey Privanti! Thank you so much for following along and for the kind words🫶🏼 so glad you are enjoying! Thats absolutely something my husband and I have talked a lot about, and is a really important thing to consider both in family med, and other more primary care jobs too - psych comes to mind as well. Ultimately, there is SUCH a need for primary care, and I think midlevels can have a great role (I recently saw one at a minute clinic haha and she was AMAZING) I do think there will always be a “market” if you will for MD/DO’s due to the sheer amount of training and expertise they have. I see lots of FM doctors going into Direct Primary Care and such business models in the future as a great avenue to build your patient panel with lots of continuity - those doctors are in high demand and really can make a big impact on their patients. You can even specialize within family med - I plan to do Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine. There are so many options and we need more passionate, skilled future physicians in primary care!
