Also any pokemon caught in go using the go safari balls (limited to the wild area events) are untransferable to home. They could have very well just turned them into regular safari balls since the only difference is a small "go" stamp but I guess they didn't bother to code that in.
I believe you’re right! I think go zygarde also can’t be transferred due to its connection with the routes feature. Did a section just for go and they completely slipped my mind.
There is another strange case, eggs. Eggs are (obviously, and rightfully) banned from Home. I know that in the early days of Home, or maybe it was after updates, some pokemon transferred from Bank were turned into Eggs in Home mostly likely due to being noticeably hacked in some way. To my knowledge almost all of these eggs were removed in an update, but I still have one sitting around. I can't release or transfer the thing, cause it's an egg. So it just sits there, as a neat little piece of pokemon history.
The G-Max factor storage are important though, the Gigantamax forms are not registered without them. For the shiny g-max form you actually need a shiny pokemon with the g-max factor. The same applies for both Darmanitan Zen Modes and Zygarde 100%. You need the shinies to have the Zen Mode ability and the Power Construct abilty for these forms to be registered.
Same thing with Rayquaza, you need to deposit one that knows Dragon Ascent to register its Mega Evolution and a Shiny Rayquaza needs to know the move to register Shiny Mega Rayquaza. I wonder if Meloetta is the same.
I really think they should make a work around for BDSP and Go Spinda, like just add a check digit to their code for where it came from 1 for normal games, 2 for BDSP and 3 for GO so they can be brought over. And they really need to fix Totem, either bring back their larger size or at least give us a Totem mark that looks like the sticker. Another one that was left behind was Spiky eared Pichu but that was left all the way in Gen 4 Johto remakes. BDSP would have been a good place to reintroduce it. Maybe if they make a Legends Johto game or a Lets go Johto.
If you mega evolved the Pokémon in a previous game, the base form will automatically register it. You can't mega evolve or gigantamax when you're not battling, and there's no battling in Pokémon home.
@ProtagonistJaylen You do not need to have ever Mega Evolved a Pokémon to register it in HOME. Just registering the base form is enough for most, with the exception of Rayquaza which also needs to know Dragon Ascent.

Such a simple solution but unfortunately I doubt we’ll ever see it get applied
There's also Spinda from Go, which I'm pretty sure can't be transferred due to being locked to 9 specific patterns
Heart pattern yes

No justice for furfrou
At least they show up in the pokedex. But yes, this is a huge bummer against "catching them all"
The Pikachu with contest costumes from ORAS irrc cannot be transferred or bred.
It was mentioned

@@TheRedSmarty I have the shiny Meloetta from HOME and it shows I have both forms in my dex.
YAY YOU UPLOADED
Loved the video. Good info and well done
Thanks!

Technically a costume i think, but Go also had the unique clone pokemon from the fitst pokemon movie. Would be neat of they could be transferred out
I found out about the necrozma and kyurem thing this week bc I was tryna transfer my shiny kyu one to home and couldnt unless It was unfused
Great video!
Spinda isnt the only BDSP pokemon locked though, the Nincada line can also not leave BDSP which is wild because it can from SwSh
Wow weird. I know it’s the id and anti cloning stuff
I can understand some of the reasons, but most of these? it's so dumb they're not allowed
Go safari ball pokemon from pokemon go cant be transferred
Never used Home before.
Cool video though
Thanks!
Aw you should
