I used canned chickpeas as I didnt have any other chickpeas on hand but my punjabi husband absolutely loved this recipe! It's so difficult as an American to cook for my punjabi family so I am incredibly pleased with this recipe and video everyone was happy!
Woow, was searching out for a simple yet perfect recipe for amritsar chhole, and here I got it. U hv made it so simple yet the essence has been maintained. Loved the recipe. And a big fan of Rajshree Foods.
I tried the recipe just now! And it is amazing. M glad my curry tastes cooked and it has the right tang n spice to it. I excluded amchur powder and anar dana.
I love this recipe! It's the first time I made chole without store bought chola masala..and it turned out amazing! Thank you! Love your videos, the presentation, music, and everything!
Hello Varun, I am overseas and miss home food a lot. Your channel is one of the best I have found to cook delicious food and this makes me less homesick. I also have followed your advice on chopping techniques. Your videos and very easy to understand and follow. Thank you.
Beautiful work chef Varun ! I’m a new cook , love making your recipes, as they give me almost perfect results at the first time. Your voice is clear, videos are professional and entertaining. Keep inspiring by posting more. Love cooking with you. Manasi
Always fun to watch varun cooking.very pleasant. He shares awesome tips and tricks . :) how to store anaardaana? and also...what garam masala would you recommend for this recipe?
Charan'z kitchen he didn't copy you I'm sure because this trick is way old. My grandma used to do this trick as well. So not like you've invented this.
I don't have Anardana which I am guessing is dried pomegranate. In Persian cooking we use barberry which is not dissimilar to pomegranate in tanginess. Will definitely give this a go if I can't find dried pomegranate. Also mango powder is interesting. A visit to the nice Indian grocery in Sydney necessary this weekend. :)

Or you can buy a good quality premade chole masala if you can't find those ingredients.
Can we skip Anardana? 🤔
Wonderful, ty.
Super
If using readymade chole masala, how many teaspoons of it should be used?
Does it matter what kind of teabag you use? Could you just use pg tips or anything like that, or do you need something more specific?
We don't have tea bags and anardana any substitute for them pls
mouth watering
👌👌👌👌
we can add onion
omg varun its so amazing thank you thank you so much 👌👌🤤🤤
Green tea bag will work
sir ,I will use chole masala...so please tell me which one of the spices which you used i can Skip..
i love it
Thanks ! :)
varun.. ky tea bags zroori hain kya hum ye skip kar sakty hain? ?
Tea bag is just to get the dark colour, ye swad ke liye nahi hai. Esliye aap chahe to skip kar sakati hain.
Ok ☺
you can put dry pomegranates peel. just one or two. gives black colour and makes chhole tender very nicely
