I'm Gabby's Dad you mentioned in this video. I remember you and Steven having debates and meeting at the coffee shop. I also remember Gabby telling me you begged her not to become Catholic when she did. I just found out yesterday that you were not just Catholic but a seminarian....I was blown away. May God bless you on your journey, Joel. You'll be in my prayers.

As a convert myself from a Baptist background with a brother who is a Baptist preacher and parents who are Sunday school teachers this resonates with me personally. I can recall the pain of my family when they learned of my conversion. This was 2016. But oh the joy of coming into the Catholic Church. I love my faith journey and so humbled that God graced me to see truth. My prayers like you, are to see family and friends make the journey as well. Ok, so Baptist trace their theology to the first century with John the Baptist. Predating the disciples and predating Jesus being baptized, John the Baptist and his disciples were already preaching the good news and preparing the way of the Lord. It's blatantly obvious with scripture that baptist theology predates Catholicism dogma And no where is scripture is catholic dogma spoken of or needed for salvation. Since scripture proves out right that Catholics weren't the first group of organized Christians tasked with the great commission, how do you reconcile abandoning these proven scriptures to believing church fathers have authority over Christ and His word? That is what they believe, I got that directly from the source, so your claim of baptist to Catholic conversation is unbiblical and very disturbing to read.

@@tony1685 did Jesus give us the Bible? Where in scripture does it state or command us from Christ to use the Bible alone as authority?

There's nothing but the Catholic church , founded by Our Lord. His church. Glad this young man converted. I thank God daily my ancestors converted and passed down the faith to me. I 'd rather die a million times than not to have my faith. Deo Gratias.

If anyone happens to read this, please continue. I am thirteen years old and I love in a very Baptist part of Tennessee. I recently did a study on Catholicism in school and I fell in love with the beliefs that Catholics have. My dad and many other generations of my family are preachers or elders in th church. Since I did that study in school, I have been researching and talking to my Catholic friends about Catholicism. I want to become a Catholic very badlry, I feel that God is calling me to become one. The only problem is that my family would not accept me as a Catholic if I told them. I want to tell them, and I want them to help me get more involved in the Catholic church, but I know that they would never. I know that they would look down on me and say that I'm polytheistic. I don't know what to do. If anyone has any advice, please comment. Also, I want to learn more about Catholicism, so if you are a Catholic, could you please help me learn everything that I need to know? God bless you!

Find out where the nearest Catholic Church is and see if you can go on a Sunday morning and speak to the priest after Mass. Tell him what you would like to do. Pray to Jesus and Mary, Mother of God to help you to get a blessed rosary. Look up how to pray it and print out the instructions if you can. You can also find out where the nearest catechism classes are for those who want to become Catholic are held. Ask Jesus and Mary to send you good people to help you become Catholic and ask them if that is their will for you. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Where humans shut the door on you, somewhere God opens a window. Wishing you the best of Irish Catholic luck.
Basically, the rosary can overcome ANY OBSTACLE, even opposition that you may face in your faith journey or any crisis. It may take some time, but the experience and the suffering along the way will build up your confidence and your character. If you’re able to go to Mass, pray during the consecration of the Host and the Blood to God to help you achieve your dream.
I am also a former Protestant who converted as an adult. I have never regretted becoming a Catholic. It felt like coming home.

I wanted to be a nun. But I was Southern Baptist, and Baptist couldn't be nuns. Many years later, I have come home. I have not gotten overseas yet, but I am a missionary in the United States.

Tomai e bebei . Sangue que por vós foi derramado . Fazei isto em memória de mim !

Thank you for sharing, that was really beautiful. As a mom, I always wonder how we proudly raise our kids to be individuals with a free spirit, but when they choose something we would not choose, dismiss them... Makes no sense to me. What a better thing could happen to a parent than having a child following his/her calling and being happy??? All the best to you ☘️

John Calvin doesn’t believe you can be saved if you aren’t the right person. He believes everyone is predetermined to go to heaven or hell when they’re born. That doesn’t sound very logical to me.
