I have an outside the box idea of who the New England Patriots should draft (Maybe)

I would trade down in the first round for a team looking to draft a top 3 quarterback. Use that later first round pick for whatever quarterback is available to secure a fifth year option. And you will have another extra 1st next year.
This is not a one-year rebuild.
💯 a few teams would trade the farm for that pick, thinking it'll make them instant contenders.
Pats fan here. We don't have weapons and we don't have an OL for a rookie QB. He will get killed just like Mac and Zappe did last year.
It doesn't change the fact that we need a Qb. We can't put our hopes on Brissett as much as I love him
@SoulKingKurosaki why not?
@@VurtAddicted He's just a serviceable QB. Someone that can get you wins but not someone you can rely on longterm
@SoulKingKurosaki Pats need 5 men in the trenches, 2 receivers, 3 in the secondary at minimum. It's going to take 2 or 3 years. And then either you draft a QB or you trade or get a veteran free agent. Drafting QBs in bad teams is a capital mistake
@@VurtAddicted I suppose so. But it's really whatever Jerod decides in the end. I got no input in this whatsoever. I'm just gonna be faithful and hopeful we go in the right direction
Where did this ridiculous idea come from that a team has to "be ready to draft a QB"? Sure wasn't a thing last year, not a peep about the Panthers or Texans NOT taking a QB because they weren't "ready." If you earned picking in the top 5, don't have a QB and there's a QB available that's worth that top 5 spot, you draft that QB- end of story.
Almost no team earning a top 3 draft spot is "ready" for a QB, unless they're there because their QB was injured all of last season. The Pats should take whoever is available from Maye or Daniels, that's that. Taking an uber luxury pick of a WR at 3 while having no QB is utter franchise malpractice.
Coach Jerod has a plan in mind. I'm sure he knows what he's doing whatever people's issue with him aside. It's a new era so let's just embrace what happens
Why even draft a QB? The situation is terrible for any QB to come in. Why not just draft the best player available every time
Overthinking. Pick the best qb available (I hope is Maye) and build around him.
Could trade down and draft Odunze, Penix and Polk
Am I the only one that actually likes Zappe? Give him a chance with some weapons and an OL.
yes
i want marv tho....
I hate to be like this but where did you get the idea that the people in New England care about your opinion one way or the other? They don't, your opinion and that of all other pundits MEANS LESS THAN NOTHING. even if your assessment is 100% correct, it is completely irrelevant. This whole "who should they draft?" subgenre is a complete waste of time for all involved!
Keep Brisset for 3 years minimum. Build the trenches, the receiving corp and the coverage in this span. Then draft a QB, if you don't find any high-level veteran on the market.
Why tf would you keep a guy like brisset as starter for 3 years??? Basically sentencing yourself to 3 years of mediocrity
Why exactly is Ladd McConkey projected to NE?
Probably cause he reminds people of Edelman lol
Are these videos delayed? It's almost certainly going to be Maye or JJ. Jayden is going at 2
maye is better
@@djcook His numbers are almost exactly the same as Howell when he was at NC. Not saying that necessarily proves anything, but it is interesting.
Pats gonna take Dallas Turner, watch
