Top job Martin. Looks loads better mate. I have just done a clutch pedal rtn Spring on a 2014 Astra, after Vauxhall tried to rip the elderly owner off, to the tune of £500. These main dealers are pond life.😡! Vauxhall Astra clutch pedal rtn spring snapped. Vauxhall said u can't buy the spring, u need a complete new pedal box. Costing £300 plus labour !! I got a brand new genuine Vauxhall spring online. Cost £3.99 inc postage and i've just fitted it. Had to take half the lower dash out to get to it. But easy enough to get in to it once u have done that. The fun part is trying to get the spring back on the pedal end. Again Vauxhall will say u have to remove the pedal box, more lies. A bit of improvisation is all that is needed. 8mm ring spanner over the end of the spring. Mole grips on the spanner and pull. Spring hooks on nicely. Couple of hours job done. Dash all back together. I havn't told the owner yet. But i'm not taking a penny from her for doing it either. I'm just happy i've saved her from paying out £500 for nothing. These rip off merchants, make me so angry ! 😡
Good tip I once seen whilst doing something like that for the bonnet shocks was to put some sticky tape on your finger and it will hold the nut on place instead of dropping it

Your car reminds me so much of my old mk4 bertone edition same colour, same type grille etc apart from mine was a hard top, great car but had to part from mine due to only 2 door so my next car was a vectra c 👍

Anyway Its looking impressive wish mine looked as good. Mine 2.2 Bertone standard interior I blew £719 on this years MOT but it had new battery new Alternator plus new brake parts and windscreen wipers. My main real question is those who don't really rate the cars but they consider them at poor prices.. I paid £350 for mine about 5 years ago my average yearly spend MOT wise is £350but it had four not 5. So here is my true issue it has a private plate worth £650 and with me blowing £719 on mot the actual value of the car with cost should be My original price on Sunday was just £1395 that is really a free car based on that price with the spend being £1639 even facebook market place wont allow me to ask any more than £1695 as I tried for £1995. I don't fancy losing money on the car but one guy commented it needs a service but when the previous owner had new engine it most likely had oil n filter change..i have only driven 5860 miles in my ownership.. So honestly if you was selling your car with the time and effort you spent I am sure you would want £1895 or more all day long.. Tell me what you think these rag tops are really worth because I enjoy driving mine but right now I have bought a 2007 Audi A6 estate 2.7 diesel. And my cars n van are on the street I am unlucky not to have driveway I wish I did..
I think they are going up in value but I got mine cheap, Dealers are asking around £2000 but privately they are cheaper. Depends on condition and mileage too.

With the bonnet pull you can bend the back with a little heat and it will fit a bit nicer better still you can move to to the side
