I've had this pedal for a few years now. Ian Thornley turned me on to it. The first one I received was defective. It wouldn't power on. I contacted Pigtronix and they were so accomodating! they sent me a new one and it was great! they were great! this pedal is awesome. Highly recommended.
After having watched this video several times I bought this pedal. And I haven't looked back. I use it together with a Boss ST2 Powerstack Pedal, and it's awesome. Really versatile combination, that can create every possible sound. Smooth Blues works just as fine as AC/DC kind of strummming or distorted Heavy Metal stuff. Great video, great pedal!
@PeteThorn- Hi pete, what's the main reason you would go with something like the Suhr Koji over the Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone? Is it mainly due to the Attack control on the Koji? Anwyays, sorry if this is a bother to ask!
I had it and sold it... way too squishy, weird grit, blend not working well, too bassy when placed after dirt pedals... but it's easy to see how it sounds at the hands of an amazing player!
7 years later: It is a really good demo. Thanks. Buying it..

OK - you and Frank Marino have convinced me. THIS is the tone I've been trying for - for years. Thank you. Purchasing now.

I generally don't like telecasters very much. But for what ever reason I like yours.
i know this question is impossible to answer, but at this current second, what would be the first guitar you would pick up in the morning?
Nice job Pete. Anyone ever said you look like Cole Hammels?
Woh, I only just noticed Pete is cross eyed, freaky. Doesnt seem to affect his playing at all. Wicked playing as always!
My reply is 8 years too late, but... YOU DICK!!
I heard Harry Potter uses the Philosopher's Tone pedal.
@nailguitar If our hands moved that fast we would all be crosseyed!
