Honestly, they should just make their own album already.

@@ElMoShApPiNeSs i hate how the comment by the guy whose name is "peanut butter sucks" is gone. We could have written our manifesto. He's wrong, of course, but still.
@@lasagnasux4934 It's not gone. Peanut Butter Sucks simply changed their name to ContentiousRhetoric.
This song sounds like it was written mostly by Misha, and "Optimist" sounds more like Tosin's writing, in my opinion. Both amazing tracks!!
clearly
sounds like bulb, I like to come back to this from time to time
I'm thinking the same thing!
I like how this song almost sounds peaceful at times in the first half and by the second half it becomes real ominous. This is a different kind of heavy.
Heavy on the different kind of heavy, word.
What makes this even more brutal is that ambient background dissonance.
That makes an entire world of difference, makes it sound way more evil and destructive.
@@AG-ur1lj would you like some salt with that comment?
Absolutely! :)
I really with both songs were on Spotify, etc. already.
This is the universe being ripped apart.
I guess that's what two black holes colliding sound's like
Kevin Bilton 0:23 reminds me of Interstellar.
@@user-ci6hd6oe6w Why are you like this?
same
1:53 onwards is just pure love and emotion blended together. Thank you, Misha Mansoor for existing.
Agreed
Two fricken brilliant musicians. Love this.
Cam is a bishh
Shut it
This collaboration, the "sonic unity" - is just hilarious, you can hear the thoughts of the pessimist/optimist theme, like they're your own perception of sound at the moment, with these emotions written in these notes. This is fckn' awesome.work, really amazing. \m/
When I listen to this song, the intro brings forth something very fragile, I imagine a lonely dying light, twinkling to stay alive, trying to find reasons to keep on burning. At 1:10 the song keeps progressing and you find out the story of the candle what it's gone through, what it has seen, the love it's lost as it's the last one still to be. As he fades it into the nothing, he won't let go, even though the wicker cannot sustain itself, it still wants to burn, because if it goes out, it would signify the end for him but more importantly the end of who he cherished, disappearing with him, as if they never existed in the first place. At 2:35, he realises that he cannot cope with this idea and his love and the love he received is too strong to be forgotten, he finds a new strength, one that burns hotter than any conceivable fire , it consumes him in a dark flame. So dark the space around him seems to be light. He becomes rage, raw with hate, feeling cheated. He will never forget.
Easy there, bud.
+Mazn W. lol right hahaha😂
BOY
That was amazing!!! thanks for sharing, are you sinesthesic?
cheers
love that VAI feel in the song!!!!!!!
this song helped me contact the anunaki
@Christopher Har V how would you describe them in a few words, if you will.
Absolutely ruthless under the guise of benevolence
They're a warrior race
I think they need to sue Hans Zimmer, because that intro is straight out of Interstellar. Fucking. amazing
alright alright alright
love the fuck out of that soundtrack tho man
An ostinato alternating between 2 notes, 1 of which is the 1st or 5th of the key, has been used for literally hundreds of years - better sue 90% of composers that have existed.
Don't let me leave Murph
Krispynachos 99 one of the best movies of all time
All these older comments. Man time really flies by. -_-
real
The gods have spoken. Djentlemen! Unite!
I heard your call from far away sir
This got me thinking of like the birth and demise of MAN
Song starts off with the birth, progressing through the childs life in school, graduation and into manhood then at 2:47 his life spirals downwards quickly thus stripping him of his hope and optimistic views of life he had growing up and molds him into a pessimistic slave.
damn that's dark dude
birth and demise of the ignant man
Isaac Moreno not to sound like a prick, but so many songs can be attrbiuted to any creratures life cycle.... just a thought on how similar life is and respectfully ,how similar music can be
MegaJdizzle27 birds and nests? i think you owe me a touche ;) also ants and ant farms, you cant tell me they dont do it in patterns just cause you cant talk with them ya know?
MegaJdizzle27 would you say a spoon is very artful? even though its made to fit more function purposes, are still comes into play, even then. someone ahd to design that spoon. some bird had to design its nest. but yea whatevs, elephant example then xD
Intro= Interstellar OST
+Mateusz Białek lol exactly my thoughts
dis is beautiful... feel like i'm floating in space
Loving the ambience in this song, kudos to Misha and Tosin for making exceptional music as always! :D
This is pure feelingsss, very good music!
When you listen to optimist and pessimist at the same time.....
I know im not the only one!
+Shamar Girlie Sounds sick...
+Shamar Girlie It really works well
+Shamar Girlie I'm surprised, this is awesome!
+Shamar Girlie thanks for sharing this i would've never thought of it
+Shamar Girlie I don't hear it? Is there a particular time to start one or the other?
I love how the synth pads throughout the track, are giving u this "BIG" wall of sound kind of feeling as if u are Ascending from Earth...
I can't believe I didn't know about these songs. I am so happy right now.
3:34 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
fantantico , fire under me
amazing song
The two note opening sequence is very Zimmer-esque. Beautiful.
I fucking can't stop hearing interstellar in the intro...
Oh gawd. They made a dream band again !!!
Once again I find myself listening to this song... relatable?
thats a really good way of just looking at it straight up without even thinking about it being an opinion to someone else saying. really cool
I think misha had this kinda sound in mind for clear. This reminds me of most of those songs.
Misha didn't write anyone on Clear except for Zero. Two of the tracks were written as a group, and each of the other tracks was written by each of the members.
I am so grateful for this.. Perfect.
Misha + Tosin are what it's about
this is the most beautiful song Ive heard all year...
Metal from the middle east ! Love from the middle east :).
Man you are a true genius !!!
holy cow!!!!!!!!!! playing them at the same time sounds incredible
It's amazing how good they sound on top of eachother haha!
Dammit son.... Love when unique musicians collaborate and create jams like this
tosin and misha , sitting in a tree. S - H - R - E - DD I N G
First comes love, then comes jams
Then comes Tosin and Misha in a super band
i need so much more of this.
that's the craziest thing ever. Thanks you for bringing this to my attention.
they sounds just perfect
This is still one of my favorite songs from Misha, it gives me those old juggernaut vibes from before periphery’s 1st self titled
Hope to see it live soon!
Awesome track! Reminds me a lot of Mogwai's The Hawk Is Howling album. Awesome production, Misha!
"Mishabasi"!! That's good shit. These 2 song are extremely cool.
wow, that was intense...Paul Chain did it on purpose on a cd, he put a song on the right channel and another one in the left...called ...in time. A grade nutter!
Misha you put on a great show in LA
The glass overflows
cuz they make awesome music, why wouldn't you wanna be excited about that ;)
very nice track, two great musicians for sure
I want more like this and Optimist.
So awsome...
pretty awesome stuff they collaberated on!
I love this atmosphere.
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
I need more of this. they should collaborate again
This is killer work.
The start is Nobuo Uematsu all over.. that is so awesome.
holy shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shit puts me on another realm when that low Ab kicks in. assuming its played on 7 and not fretted somewhere low on the low F# with an 8. either way shits mean AF
Mr Hamburgler You are correct. It is played on a 7.
definitely!
subscribed for nice warning message at the beginning.
+diazzsama kkkkk
So, some people said - I'd assume more for giggles than being serious - one should play both songs at the same time. I did. It actually sounds pretty damn awesome! O.o
I opened a tab for Pessismist first, because it's longer than Optimist. That way, the outro of Pessimist begins, almost exactly, when Optimist is over. I wouldn't even be surprised, if they did that intentionally.
See, what we need is a collaboration between Frederik Thorendal and Tosin Abasi. Frederik runs the show on the chug polyrhythms, Tosin plays over them like a legend. Combine the two, and watch every djentleman's head explode.
Was not expecting that ending. Goddamn. I imagine that's what it would feel like to see the sun explode before your eyes.
2 Angels combined.
How am I just now hearing this...
Geez, the outro was Earth crushing.
I think it's dope as hell that Misha has been really showing his Uematsu influence in recent stuff.
2:46 for the thall
3:34 for thaller.
@@whyush.k 😂
The feeling I get when i listen to this song is fucking breathtaking. I picture myself a Captain of a huge pirate ship sailing over the Caribbean or some shit, then coming into contact with a colossal squid, then obliterating it with cannons and harpoons and shit. THANK YOU TOSIN, THANK YOU MISHA.
this is too fucking amazing to not have like 5,000 views already
I love you for knowing them.
The ending is something most powerfull i ever heard.
incredible track... where can you buy this in FLAC format?
That's a good thing!
for sure!
Damn, it works !
That ending is so metal
Mosin Abasoori .. nailed it.
This song is badass!!!
Most important thing!
They already collided and put together the self titled animals as leaders album! :)
Pure Meshuggah vvorship. Avvesome.
Thanks man.
misha and tosin? Perfection
it works!
as a side note... I love this cover art
YES.
Oh, nice! I didn't know that
pretty awesome i bet everyone was expecting the brurtalz djentz
So fucking brutal.
*****
Don't play dumb... this song very clearly becomes VERY heavy. It's brutal as fuck.
Cade Banta The ending is brutal... not sure what your panties are in a huff about.
Damn yes, the song become heavy as fuck.
Cade Banta ahhahaha you are dumb
Cade Banta It's obvious that you are a troll... but I'll bite: Do tell us how I or we are musically ignorant? I can't wait.
That was like the music version of a mountaintop finish at the Tour de France. More brutal as it goes along! Had me tricked at the bottom! haha
It's the best fucking song I have ever heard in my entire fucking life. Goddamit!
2:47... That drum sound! So brutal.
This is absolutely beautiful. I would have liked more groove in the heavier part though. Especially with such a nice melodic intro
I've always been of the opinion that music provides the emotion and the vocalist focuses it into words, at least ideally. Sometimes the music is powerful enough that you don't need a vocalist, but sometimes it's too complex to understand without words. That's just me though.
this song is an emotion
That intro sounds so much like a track of 'Dark' in a space AND Time journey......
