Hey bro, just wanted to say…I don’t care about this product AT ALL. I prefer old school equipment. But, I watch every single one of your videos to completion to support you. You are bar none the best fitness reviewer on UA-cam and I really appreciate it! I have used your advice to build my entire gym. Keep killing it bro!
While I don't have any plans to get something like this I can see where for a lot of people this type of thing would work well. Coops the best and keeps getting better. This type of review will broaden his audience.
Its about the demographic and similar to peloton, it’s geared toward the at home or dad or a work from home setting where getting to the gym might be tough. Also people who may have anxiety working out in front of others. I agree its too expensive
@@hrshy491777 Yeah, but even for that you just need a floor, and some bar stuck somewhere high enough. And that's for free. Also for 2500 you could have a good home gym traditional setup. This thing is a fail. The only ones who'd buy this are fitness equipment aficionados like coop and semi professional athletes.
I think all of you guys bashing this because all you need is "a floor and a bar" might not be thinking about the normal person like me who wants a trainer, wants to get in shape, but doesn't want to hang around all the massive lifters down at the gym. So many of you long-time lifters have been doing it for so long, it all seems second nature to you, but its not that way for everyone. This is who the Tempo is geared for, not you guys.
As a millennial and renter I love this option. It’s great because whenever I move I just pack this up and go. I will probably live downtown my whole life not really a suburb kinda guy. This is perfect for me when I wanna workout which isn’t like every single day
Just checked the website they do 36 months with zero percent interest and a 3 year warranty. Not too bad if you're really into classes and don't want to go heavy. Also that is probably the cleanest home gym set up I've ever seen.
I sent mine back. There is a common glitch (loose wire connection) that does not allow new users to set up (even with "White Glove" delivery). Customer service was horrible...they wanted us to do a zoom call with a tech and work on it ourselves (gave us a list of tools to have on hand!) Bottom line...not worth it, but the soft close hinges are Awesome! The return process was a joke, but we got it done after 2 months.
I sold mine. Tempo had a buy-back program, did a Zoom assessment, found the machine to be in good condition and wanted to buy it back for $1,000. Yeah. No.
Thank you for continuing to create clear, concise, and useful content. I would love to see more fitness tech reviews from you. I was curious to learn more details about the software's user experience, such as the accuracy of the rep counting, what form feedback you receive, and how it progressively overloads the user. Stuff like that. Thanks again.
The reviews I've read on the mirror are negative in that the images of the trainers are so small on screen you have to squint to see them well. The images on the Tempo, on the other hand, are much larger and easier to follow their instructions and mimic their form. I'd stick with your Tempo mainly for that reason.@@GarageGymReviews
Going to be honest I’m pretty sure the target audience is a casual fitness user, especially good for people who rent. I am really excited to get the move version this because of the classes the compact & sleek size.
I bought one for the home when Covid had gyms shutting down or made you wear a mask (so stupid!). I already had several various dumbbells so we would set up a few of the weights Tempo included plus just have a few additional weights nearby to grab. Just not a big deal at all and so easy to switch weights without having to pause the workout to take the included ones apart all the time. Duh!@@chughes1

I love my Tempo Fit Studio. The system has a 3D camera that will correct your form when you are doing it incorrectly. It tells you to brace core or whatever the problem might be. It will also count your reps and pace per reps. The trainers are also amazing. Live classes are amazing too.
@@bonnief181 that’s unfortunate. For an additional $30 per month a Tempo trainer will provide a weekly training program based on what you’re looking for.
Really glad I went with tonal versus this. This just really does feel like a tv with a basic set of weights you could get pretty cheap off marketplace. Hey Garage team, not sure if you are still responding to comments, I recall you saying in the Tonal review that two people could workout together and it would know when you switched, does the Tempo or the Mirror also do this?
nice review..thanks! Id love to see you get your hands on the JaxJox interactive studio and review that. Your reviews are so in depth, its really helpful.
I have a question on the 25 pound weights, tempo support says they are not bumper plates, just coated steel like all the lower weights but I've heard you call them bumper plates. Are they actually bumper plates because that seems to be the only way to justify their price on it.
Love the new place! Have to ask one question as I'm about to upgrade my home gym significantly...what's the flooring you're using. It's crisp, clean, and looks like you could adjust it pretty easily

The tempo core requires a phone because you use it with a tv to connect the screen. I love the Tempo Fit Studio app because I can schedule classes for different days of the week that will pop up on my system so I’m able to plan out workouts ahead of time. It’s great!
Cool device and cool review, Coop. Not bad for a 1st gen implementation of an all in one device with free weight use and structured programming to follow. Hey Coop- any thoughts on OxeFit XS1? It looks like Tonal and Tempo on steroids. Also, as others have said, you're the best in the review business. GGR is the first thing I check when researching equipment. Thank you.
I think Tonal kills this. It offers advanced features with the motorized resistance (like adjusting resistance curves and eccentric overload) that you genuinely can't do on your own with free weights and can actually help with hypertrophic or performance outcomes. This is just a TV with UA-cam, a webcam and dumbbells that are going to be too light for most male trainees.

I wonder what your thoughts are now that Tonal is going up $1000 and you won’t be able to use the tonal without a subscription (even the stand alone work outs) anymore….
I'll never buy gym equipment that has a monthly subscription. Just straight up, not happening. But I still enjoy these videos and seeing what companies are doing
