Good morning Graham great video very interesting and great car sounds awesome and a very nice owner great to see these cars used and not just stuck in a museum. 👍
Many thanks for your comment - no, the chase cameras were Osmo Action cameras attached to the front and back of a chase car. Normally we'd do this from a tracking car with a camera operator and a "proper" camera in the hatchback of the tracking car but the health and safety at the track didn't allow this!
Thank you, as an MGC owner I really enjoyed this video. I learnt a lot today about these cars. Do you know if Mabel still with us? One thing I did notice was that the Sebring cars were fitted with wire wheels, I wonder why? Anyway thanks again, Aloha!
Thanks for your comment - much appreciated! I did read in one reference book that the cars were raced with centre-lock minilites and they were replaced with wires to make them more saleable... Regarding Mabel, the last I heard was that the car was back in the UK and a quick check on the DVLA database shows the car is currently taxed - it expires in February 2025.
Sebring is a bucket list track for me. Perhaps March upcoming is best to visit for a chance to see this lovely car in action.
Thanks for your comment. I reckon that's a great bucket list track - would love to see Romeo going round there! :-)
What an Amazing MGC GT. Another Outstanding video and presentation.

Great to see my old yellow BGT (XOP 800T) in the background, still being enjoyed on track ❤
Thanks for your comment - I spent a couple of sessions trying to get past it in my GT! I failed :-)
Another great video Graham, I've been looking forward to this one since you showed the car in the car show video. Thanks!

Was the chase camera a drone?

And the wire wheels beg the question.......Why do all the replicas and Romeo sport Minilite wheels when wires were used at the Sebring race?

👍 Romeo should be used in anger at Sebring, piloted by a professional race driver. That would be something to see
Thanks for your comment - The owner Paul mentions that its due to go to Sebring next year so it might get driven in anger then...
