Imagine living in Dubai, going to a park and seeing Richard Hammond on the swings talking about how skyscrapers have a harmonic frequency
And kicking his legs
I live in Dubai
It is not in Dubai.. I think it is in Abu Dabi
Can we take a moment to appreciate this engineering milestone
Whole reason for video
But yes
sure, but not a second more than 6 minutes and 15 seconds

I believe that's what we're all doing here
i like how he still drives cars while talking about buildings
First reply😂
Todd Burns 😬😬
What else is he meant to drive a building
Ghost yes.
Subaru!!
A British man. Talking about a UAE built skyscraper. Featured on Discovery Australia.

McKew i agree
Mr. Worldwide
weird huh
We all human beings
Now I know why they have Hammond produce this series.
If James or Jeremy had tried to explain Harmonic Resonance using a playground swing their legs would have hit the ground.
They also smoke so much they'd be too winded to talk too 😬
You could say he's fun sized...
"friction is one of the strongest forces on the planet"
Say that to my girlfriend
I’m scared to to that
Bot Boi to to that? Lol
It’s Ya boy MANASHER12 man so scared he lost speach

i love these vids its strange i only came across it after i checked up on richard cos he is still my favourite ever top gear presenter
The dislikes are the window cleaners
Ahahahaha
Dennis Schwarz: hahah thanks !
Window cleaning is automated and doesn't require people.
The Indian construction workers who had to handover their passports while building it
@Ali Sure Ali. All fake news.
That ‘confusing the wind’ trick is absolutely a work of genius. Like, that’s Brunel level stuff, right there. Top marks, baldy.
I like how the analogy of confusing the wind to that of the swing was portrayed. Makes it easier to understand.
Man Im loving these videos, they are very interesting
One of the best buildings you can go see... when next to it, its breathtaking
everyone deserves a science teacher like Hammond in childhood..
I work there in the Burj! :) and still always nice to see the building from the bottom and the city from top.
Really.. Can you send me photos
I like Robert Downey's new look.
That shows, humans can do anything, buliding the biggest skyscraper in a place like dubai is unimaginable 🔥❤️
If you know you know:
How has he not fallen of the swing
he has arms
He has brain
The joke is he crashes in everything
Imagine designing the structural steelwork for this baby! Very clever engineers.
This was proper informative, and very well simplified!!!!!!
Loved the swing example 👍🏻
I was left wanting more from this video... fascinating
Very informative and interesting.
Wow that was extremely informative. love it
The best thing about your show is when you try to explain complicated engineering concepts and simple ways. And you also explain how a big challenge was solved using engineering knowledge. We miss your engineering connection show
I live in Dubai. I see it every day. I've taken it for granted but after seeing this video, I'm as amazed as I was the first time I saw it. It is a truly magnificent structure that everyone must see.
Me too. But it doesn't have that much special effect when you see it in person. It looks more overwhelming on screen than in person.
But have you been inside Burj khalifa
Wow some fantastic shots of the building 👏
what a wonderfull guy are you richard hammond, love all your shows!
Burj Khalifa is awesome ! It's especially beautiful at night and the fountains are one of my favourite places on earth. 💜💕
Thank you for sharing the thought and ideas that went behind the making of such a tall structure by fooling the winds .
That was extremely informative. So amazing
Great video, nicely explained.
Confusing the wind....... great concept !
Whoever built this building should go on vacation his whole life
They probably do bro
It's samsung. They built Burj khalifa
@@tomral7294 most of the builders are very underpaid and their human rights are abused so I doubt it... The architects are wealthy though...

Fantastic video thanks for uploading
Man this guys program are a revelation indeed
it's a miracle of human engineering and effort. We(Humans) constructed it and we are proud.
The best explanation is he swinging😂
The swing example was the best. For those u understood
Wonderfully explained
Hammond is incredible
Wish I had someone like him as my science teacher!
Always enjoy the show...
Just incredible honestly.
I pray who ever reads this becomes successful in life...
Thank you:)

Yeah you are i searched it in linkedin
Wow
This is inspiring.
Amazing video
The burj khalifa is truly a marvelous engineering feat. I saw another video where Richard explained it's lightning protection features.
I have learnt a lot👏
Interesting piece of knowledge.
Burj Khalifa is an masterpiece . I see five times a day and I have seen from the foundation time when project started .
Hammond fits in perfectly in the park
That was awesome
Proud to be a Civil Engineer.
I love this vids.been here in dubai for longtime😉
*For one sec, i thought it was Hugh Jackman!!*
These r real interesting

Wow amazing beautiful view
Brilliant Man makes great Building by Powerful Experiment.
The Britishers are giving science and technology throughout the world since long time, they had and still have most talented people within themselves.
For anyone who wants more detail on how the foundations work, I believe it uses the same idea that Practical Engineering covered in his video "Why Tunnels Don't Collapse"
Amazing
Hammo, your legs dont touch the ground!
Haha, the swings height was also set for children!
Shame there's no more top gear news, I can see may and Clarkson ripping into him for it.

This video explains way better than school ever did
Incredible mind!
There are enough ground-breaking technologies in this building to make an hour-long video! NOTHING in this building is ordinary. EVERYTHING was done in new and different methods.
I love it this building 🌹🙏🌹👍
Yes. Brilliant building..
Everything looks big to Richard Hammond
I like how he talk like he’s talking about buildings in the same way he talks about cars
Incredible🇦🇪💯☝️
In the thumbnail the guy looks like a mix of Robert Downey Jr and Hugh Jackman
Bill Baker is a legend
Thank you to the UA-cam algorithm for bringing me here
Nice car man.
As a Dubaiyan, this was very intriguing.
Lucky you
Wow 🤩
Its not a brilliant its masterpiece

I recommend everyone put the UAE and the Dubai on your bucket list. The UAE is amazing and the people are wonderful.
Breaking it down on the swing the way he did made so much sense to me lol
Secretly hammon enjoyed the swing ride.....thoroughly!!!!!
Wow!!!
Hammond . i love u
yes
Ayyyyyy That's my Country
Crazy building but i love quad safari in Egypt 😂
I wonder if they could have used The Golden Angle (137.5... degrees). That way it wouldn't look like a bunch of arbitrary balconies, yet it still could confuse the wind. The Golden Angle could also maximize light for the balconies.
