@@yodaguy6956 i would have agreed with you if you didn't have double standards, how come when other countries do it, it's considered amazing or beautiful, but when Arabs do it there's always so much hate?
I know this is a joke, but if anyone's curious, search up the world's shortest man next to the world's tallest man. It's genuinely such a weird picture.

Very interesting! I never would have thought the friction of those two phone books, Inter-leafed together would create that much friction. The Burj Khalifa is a marvel of modern engineering. For most of us we see an extremely tall building and are impressed but there is so much more to it then that.
When I was growing up on the Gold Coast, Australia, the Q1 was being built, we were told that it was an experimental building for a bigger builder which was going to happen in our “sister city” Dubai. We had lots and lots of UAE expats here prior to the build and during, once completed, they packed up and went home. Many of them took their Holden VT and VE SS commodores. I caught up with a few of them every time I was in Dubai. But yeah, not sure how true the story about the Q1 is but that’s what we were told.
I am at the same time fascinated and stunned by the ingenuity, planning, engineering and brain power that came together to create this marvel of engineering and appalled that all this energy went in to a vanity project in a doomed city in the middle of the desert, which in itself is also baiscally a dysfunctional vanity project without even so much a a functioning waste management system.
The Discovery Channel in Canada had (years ago) a show called Frontiers of Construction, and they ran a two part program of the building of the Burge Dubai which was the closest I was ever going to get to it.

Probably on of the most difficult concepts explained in the most simple understandable and entertaining way!

Definitely not one of the most difficult

It's incredible how much effort he puts into each word
That friction example was awsome!
Excellent presentation, technical terms with easy to understand explanations for the non-engineer crowd.
