The Most Mind Blowing Engineering from Richard Hammond's Big
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 лип 2020
- Richard Hammond has been visiting some of the biggest and most impressive engineering works around the world. From the massive engines of the Super Galaxy Plane and cargo space at the Marie Maersk container ship, to the Kölnbrein Dam in Austria, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England and the Wolfsburg Volkswagen plant in Germany.

Cool show idea, they got the perfect guy to do it
I have watched so many of Richard's specials whilst travelling on international flights. They're so great.
This is cool
Sure is
You’ve summed up this whole video in three words
Best comment ever
Thank you John Brentlinger!
You're cool
I think with Top Gear, The Grand Tour, BIG and whatever else Richard has done. There are going to be few things he’s not done, and few places he’s never been to.
Like Mars.
ISS?
Erblin Beqa you mean the International Small Station?
lol
JP 43 well it is the size of a football field but OK
Depford in London. Who wants to go there?
I love how Richard’s reaction and explanation. Very clear and simplified
Tonight:
A small man tells us of some of the biggest things
A hamster in a container cathedral
And an elf talking about a car shelf
pro tip: watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Roman Mateo Yup, have been using Flixzone} for since december myself =)
@Roman Mateo yea, I've been watching on Flixzone} for years myself :D
3:36 that’s what she said
Richard Hammond is starting to look like Al Pacino
I just thought the exact same thing.
It was gnawing on my mind. Thank you..especially when he smiles hysterically when overzealously excited 🤣🤣🤣
“We actually call this, confusing the wind” muhahahahhaa
"Richard Hammond's Big"
This is not true.
It's an oxymoron
Is "Richard Hammond's Big" actually the name of the show? I thought the name just got cut off lol
Them: ”42 tones of air”
Me: ”how to weigh the air?”
Well air has a certain density and they know how much volume these fans are shoveling around. Sooo, you geht a weight
@@tombombadil3515 Also, they mean mass of air not weight.
With your bathroom scales, of course!
Now I want to watch all of the full episodes
So ingenious and amazing
One must calculate each part carefully. One error can be costly. Engineering takes so much precision.
If you ask me all those high level engineers are proper geniuses
Brilliant
WOW UA-cam finally recommended something COOL
Interesting video that. Cheers.
Very interesting, I like it
❤️ beautiful ❤️ video ❤️
Very cool
Richard hamond is so cool
Hammond so cool
this deserves more views imma start recommending it to my friends
It was released the day you watched it? How many views did you exspect?
@@HilleTV i think they should be getting hundreds of thousands of views not tens if thousands like they normally do and ik just me recommending it to my friends isnt enouugh to make that change but idc
Interesting fact, the Tottenham Hotspur segment was filmed when the Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders NFL teams played a game in that stadium.
Cool
I like how they got the smallest guy of the trio for a show called big.
Hamster's at it again boys.
I miss old presentators of top gear :(
Is there anything Tony Stark can’t do?
beautiful job...he's got a great commentary voice...a balance of awe and basic knowledge........but i still miss TG
Try The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime. It's basically Jeremy Richard and James doing what they did on Top Gear but with more money and less BBC restraint.
That’s a big engine
♡Australia♡
Next season Jeremy will be showing us tiny things
Is there a top of the line V8 version?
When did you start making videos in youtube Mr.Stark?
When the video started I thought it was in a building
Big
"HAMMOND...." cover the most important leap forward in engine technology since the propeller >>> Reaction Engines...
Is Amazon gonna buy discovery?
7:30 DA BEARS
They should add another huge turbo fan twice as big as the turbo fan on the turbo fan with a bypass chamber for the bypass chamber for an additional ultrasonic thrust
I swear half of this was mission impossible stuff.
burj khalifa from birds eye view looks like a 3 leaf clover, i wonder if that's where they got the idea for the build
6:25 Time 2 hack
7:28 DA BEARS!
Misiles
Should've add transition.
When you're at the bottom and the elevator breaks
But can it fit in a food blender?
You would have to tighten those spokes A LOT before that wheel bends like that in fact the spokes would break before the wheel does that unless he bends the rim using another method
From Richard Hammond's Big *what?!*
Someone said He looks like Huge Jackman. He's like wolverine(engineer) in X-men(Discovery).
kiran ranjitkar he looks more like Al Pacino I think🤣
I clicked because of the Thumbnail. I thought it was chuck Norris when he was young.
He's had a lot of experience with structural engineering, and how it fails!
Wrong video to match the title picture.
😊
Anyone think about monsters ink the door scene?
"Richard Hammond is Big".... I dont understand the title of this show
frkn scary asf man
what time stamp is the mind blowing stuff?
The time we will never get back now.
7:59
Genuinely curious... what holds back that amount of water while they build the dam? Surely they can't just start building on top of a stream and expect the water level to rise, right?
That's exactly what they do, tho...
Very incomplete and cut short documentary.. Could've been better if it is a little bit more detailed giving Richard to discuss the engineering behind everysingle slide with ample time..
The sketch of the turbine is wrong!
The outgoing turbine blades are in the cone, while the hot air (that would propell the outgoing turbine blades) is going around the cone. Fail, for an explanatory show a bad oversight.
42 tons of air per mint
I tought it was RDJ in the thumbnail or Hugh Jackman
It's the mighty *Richard Hammond*
hi
32 tonnes of air? I thought air didn’t weight anything
Would be bad if one of those cables snapped,
this is giving me adhd
This man looks like Hugh Jackman 😂
No... No he doesn't 🤣
Wait, is this the first time you've seen Richard Hammond?
He actually looks like younger Michael Douglas, look at him in Ant-Man movie, almost same beard.
Sorry Richard, not GE. Pratt & Whitney did it first, with the JT9 747 engine. 5 to 1 bypass, yes less than this GE engine but still the first high-bypass turbofan.
Juu
Also airplanes use very little fuel and companies makes tons of money
Richard Hammond's Big WHAT??
Air measured in tons/tonnes not in litres? How do you weigh air??
6:07 Oh no, I don't like where this is going
I’m sorry but nothing about Hammond is big besides his number of crashes so the title is inaccurate
He has crashed thrice stop hating
I work with a guy called Steve, he's 5 ft 2.
Everyone knows him as Big Steve.
Yep about 3 videos in one with no real explanation. What a shambles
tiny man
.
Bad edit.
I have to watch this with the sound off. This guy is just too much like a puppy seeing the world. Everything is the greatest, hugest, best....it gets old really fast. Find someone else.
