Hum performs "I Hate It Too" live at Neighborhood Theatre, Charlotte, NC www.humbandoffi... / humbandofficial Sony α6000 | Helios 44-2 58mm f/2.0 | Zoom H4n
Yes! I was at this show!! Awesome seeing Hum and Failure on the same bill! Looks like we were standing near one another i was about 3 rows back between matt and tim. Always cool seeing concert neighbors online.
Looks and sounds great, what the hell did you use to record it with? I'm astonished that the volume did overwhelm the camera mic unless you can independently set the levels.
+Anthony Christiano Thanks! I used a Sony α6000 camera with a Helios 44-2 58mm f/2.0 lens to record the video. The audio was captured separately using the on-board microphones on a Zoom H4n.
Stellar job! I saw em live in Seattle that year, so amazing! A dream come true to finally see my favorite band live and witness them still 7 times as good live as in studio! I really hope they do at least one more album and tour some more!
I’ve listened to this drunk and cried too many times
Joe Fallin Any slightly melodic song ever has this effect when drunk, I have found.
listen to it stoned
Same here bro
I traveled from Florida for this show. I cried the whole time.. It was like touching God, for real.
yeahhhhhhh :( lol
I'm 49 yo now with grown kids and this band still rocks the house. TIMELESS!!!!
St. Pierre was my drumming idol in the nineties. RIP brother
He was a savage behind the kit 🤘🏻🥁
I was 15 when I first heard this song.. i cant believe now I'm 40 soon, still I'm listening to this song...
Thanks for sharing :)
Lol me too, man.. me too!
Ditto sid, where the fuck did the time go?
I was maybe 18/19 when I did. This is one of the few bands I still listen to from my youth.
I'm 17 just hearing these guys for the first time, crazy to know I'll be in your shoes someday lol
I've listened to this sober and cried
Hum. The greatest band that is still underground. Never sure why they didn’t make it huge.
That guitar tone. That damned guitar tone.
Talbot, Paige Hamilton, Billy Corgan, and J. Mascis have the best tones by far
So much love for this band. It changed my life in 6th grade in 1996. Married, Kids...this is a timeless band. RIP BSP
I was at this show. Watching this video makes me cry my eyes out. Thanks for capturing it.

So fucking jealous!!!
that perfect never-ending tidal wave the wall of droning sound ..... ahhh yes
Jason Gerkin did his homework. Precision drums. He nails every part.
You have the best live recordings of Hum on UA-cam.
This is the best quality audio I could find of any live performance, huge kudos to OP
Thanks for video taping the show. Was one of the most memorable shows I ever been too.
So you’d prefer an astronaut is a masterpiece. This song and suicide machine are simply soundscaped ethereal beauty.
I live in Charlotte, shame I discovered them a while after this performance :(
I would have cried so hard in that crowd lol
I was hoping that you caught the part where Matt threw off his hat! Still, thanks for the upload!
