    Just wanted to thank you once more for posting this battery cover removal guide. Every Honda motorcycle tech should be made to watch this so they don't break everyone's covers and push pins. I just got my bike back and another push pin broke 😒

    Nice, no need for me to make this video, you did a great job. I got my CT125 last night from the dealer and put a whole 4 miles on it. Can't wait to get out and ride it and put up some videos.

    I have my pigtail in the pile of stuff for my Trail125... whenever it arrives...😐😑. You made that look SUPER simple. Thanks for sharing and the tips, especially on that tab.

    Fun stuff. I'm on the wait list for a CT125. Nice to get some early info on the bike. Thanks

    Great video, thank you for taking the time. Just installed the terminal leads for a battery tender. I must say, my ‘19 Monkey was far easier to work on!

      Does this same pigtail he is showing in the video work for a battery tender also? I'm not that familiar with the battery tender hookup. Thanks, EE.

      @@luvbgrass Yep, 2 pin molded (trailer) connector. Battery Tender JR. plugs right in.

    Good video. I certainly don't want to bust up my new battery cover. With the quality of Honda you would think they would have did something different here. Another push pin would have probably been better. Good info on the battery hookup also Thank you much!

    You'll love this story. So my bike finally came in last Friday. My salesperson walked me back to the receiving area just as the old guy mechanic was fumbling around with the red fragile battery cover. So today I was happily following your video to put my pig tail on and I went to take a push pin out and I heard a bit of something pin ball fall through the bike. That would have been a broken push pin. Then I went to gingerly remove the battery cover, but it came off so easily.... BECAUSE DUFUS MECHANIC BROKE THE TAB! UGH. Pissed was an understatement. Then the texts began between my salesperson and I. In the meantime I pondered how long it would take to even get another battery cover beings these bikes are so back ordered. I decided to just epoxy resin the area. It might even be stronger now with that added material. But geez! New bike broke before I walked out the door. Thank you again for posting this. Helped with my whole dealio and install.

      So, why in the world would Mr. Old Mechanic have been messing with the battery cover compartment on a new bike? 🙄 I need to go check mine out now.

    • @findingneutral
      @findingneutral 2 роки тому

      @@luvbgrass I think to hook the battery up. But yeah definitely check yours. And check the push pins as well. All super fragile bits. My epoxy repair did not hold either and just fell off eventually. So I installed the new cover. Granted, I believe even without this brain teeser L shaped hook the cover would stay put, but still. Share your findings 😲

      @@findingneutral Good idea, lol. I have put 64 miles on it so far. The weather keeps changing here in Va. Its about 35 degrees and I have a couple inch's of snow on the ground again. By Thursday I think its supposed to be 60 and raining. Maybe some riding later in the week. Did you by chance put mirror extensions on your CT?

    Great video - thank you! It looks like the cable you installed is the perfect length. Do you buy any chance remember where you purchased it? I've googled but can't seem to find the same one...

      It's a standard 'trickle charge' plug off Amazon. The Ring Connectors are very easily replaced, so you can cut to length.

    Those awful plastic tabs are a pain on small honda's ( Cub 125 ) you can snap em off way too easy ( crappy hard plastic )...

      Agreed. Manufacturers use Tabs as a way of cost savings. Honda is famous for using these...I had them on my Goldwing!!
