The hopper action returns in 2 weeks for episode 2! In the meantime, go check out the film the Will made about me, on his channel. Get this man to 10K subscribers🤘🏻 ua-cam.com/video/lavbZCTkK_w/v-deo.html
Caught that subtle comment about "standing in the sun getting baked " followed with the laughing and i was laughing right along with ya. I too keep the fish whistle close while on the water
What an awesome pairing with you & Will, a couple of titans in fly fishing films. Love both of your channels and your dedication to small streams and wild fish. Looking forward to the next vid.
Great video, some of my favorite rivers and streams you were fishing there. You sure made it pretty obvious on where you were with how much scenery you showed
I wasnt gonna fish today....I went to my truck after the video and tied on a hopper and went and caught some wild maine salmon. Cant wait for episode 2 🤙
Love hoppers for Trout. However, snapping the rod back like that at the strike will either pull the fly from the mouth, or snap it off at the tippet. Especially with bigger Trout. If your hooks are sharp lifting the rod at the take is all you need.
Bought apparel and stickers, not so much for a chance to win, but because I have been watching you from the start and you have came a long way but only because of so much hard work that you have put in.. I am and will always support you, thanks for all the videos
Great video and thank you for keeping the locations somewhat secret. Grew up fishing these waters. Used to be alot more bookies but the browns eventually take over the small creeks. Tight lines fellas..
Great vid! Two ideas for better survival of catch and release trout: 1. Use an underwater camera to take your pics with the fish in the water and 2. Use a no-touch catch and release tool, so you never have to handle the fish. TU recommends both of these (never touching the fish and never taking them out of the water) for the best success at survival. I use the "Ketchum Release" tool myself, slides right down the line and unpins the fly effortlessly. Tight lines!!!
Wow. Once again wild fly is killing it my man! That was absolutely outstanding I am so impressed with how well you put that together. The story was phenomenal! Great work!
You guys are the motivating force for me to keep learning how to fish and tie! So cool to watch Scottie fish more, loved Will’s piece on him too 🤘🏼 stoked for ep 2!
Great video guys! I live in Missoula but fish over on the front often because the vastness of the landscape just swallows you up and the lack of people. Sounds crazy but I recognize some of the land marks and know a couple of the places you fished. Your video is making me have tactile memories of summer which is a blessing since it's been dumping snow for the last 48 hours straight right now, in January. I subscribed to both of your channels and will be throughly enjoying your videos all winter! Keep up the good work!
Great video - holy smokes. Awesome edit, great story and just some top notch b-roll - felt like I was there with you guys! Very cool, next level. Cheers!
Enjoyed the video scottie. The more remote the better, always better fishing and no crowds. Pretty brown's and country. Until next time. Stay safe. 👍👍👍
Awesome, love the filming. Just stunning and the hopper action is really neat. Reminds me of the cicada season here in NZ. Can't wait for summer. Thanks for your awesome content.
Scottie another great video those takes on the hoppers were killer. I have been working the chubby hard this summer here in PA after the cicada's have moved back to the ground and have been crushing wild brookies. Your work in impeccable. Thanks.
Living here in Montana gives you lots of options for fishing and like you guys we are always seeking out new place’s where we can be alone with the countryside and whatever creek we come upon. We are in the swing of hopper season right now , one of my favorite times of year . Great video and story tells. Those dam Wisconsin people:-)
Great video, fellas. Just got back from a trip there with my buds and had the time of our lives. The backcountry days were the best. Cheers, keep'em coming!
I enjoyed your video of the hopper fishing here in Montana. But man... you don't have to try setting the hook like you're The Hulk fishing for Blue Whales. You jerk your fly out of the fish's mouth sometimes, and if you're fishing light tippets with Trico's or small ant patterns (another Montana small stream killer) you'll start snapping tippets off. But a great video and I'm glad you enjoyed the fishing here (please don't popularize it too much...).
I won this camera and because you left the receipt in the box, I sent it and traded it for a GoPro 10 hero. I appreciate you!! I’m a bass guy who loves watching you guys catch trout. If you ever wanna do some bass content, let me know!!!
Scotty you need to come back to western Canada one day, Alberta and Eastern BC are insane trout territory, as you know, and my buddies and I would love to take you out and fish with you, we're all huge fans. (Also we work in the craft beer industry)
I just got into fly fishing man. I really enjoy your videos. Makes me wanna travel. I live down in Texas and I'm lookin forward to catching some trout on the guad this winter
Great video man, thanks for filming the kind of fishing I like, Small streams is were its's at. Floating big water is fun but finding those small gems is where it's at. Looking forward to the next video.
Hi guys, I very much appreciated your 2 video's (part 2 I saw first). It turns out that you should not catch big fish to make great and funny videos. Excellent footage also. Greetz from a European flyfisher.
Hi Guys just wanted to say thank you for the entertaining fly fishing video . Also wanted to say I visited your web site and purchased a T Shirt and Sticker Pack to support you guys it's not much but it is small way for me to say thank you . Keep up the amazing videos and I will keep watching . Tight Lines to you all !
You are doing what most of us dream of and that to me is amazing. Live your lives to the fullest enjoy every moment and let us enjoy it along with you.
Nice video. I live in Wyoming. I usually target small streams.I’m going to be studying my maps and thinking about a trip in my FourWheel camper and German shorthairs next July August for some prairie streams. I love that habitat. Great off grid camping. Might find some good sharp tail spots too. Thanks for not saying place names. Thanks

You had me at “WildFly” 😂. Anything you put out Scotty is worth watching. Want me some more Bus 🚌 Diaries!!
Thanks my Dud! And don’t worry, it’s coming…
I'm so glad you guys don't say where you're fishing. It's the sustainable thing to do for sure. I just wish you'd tell me.
I’m sensing a real trend here with the net lol. Awesome work as usual
I love the small river stuff and hoppers are a blast to fish…can’t wait for more 🙌🏼
I lived her in Montana my whole life and there is great fishing I love it!!!
Great video... Camping in the Biterroots and trying some of the small creeks... hoping for the best... thanks!
Finally - Wild Fly and Phelps on the Fly become one … at least for a moment in time.
Awesome video!! I am so jealous! Chubby never fails man!
Man, I lived south of Missoula in 04-05’ before I was into fly fishing. I absolutely regret moving back to Nevada! Such beautiful country up there.
Another great video. Maybe I’ll run into you up here in Montana some day. I wear your black and red trucker hat almost everyday lol
These camera angles are legendary. Y'all don't get enough credit!
Will And Scottie are the best combination I’ve seen
Love hoppers for Trout. However, snapping the rod back like that at the strike will either pull the fly from the mouth, or snap it off at the tippet. Especially with bigger Trout. If your hooks are sharp lifting the rod at the take is all you need.
Yep
Great vlog fellas. Outstanding takes. Did you call that one a shark take? That's what it looked like though. LOL.
Can't wait for hopper season this year, I love visiting the lesser known creeks.
Bought apparel and stickers, not so much for a chance to win, but because I have been watching you from the start and you have came a long way but only because of so much hard work that you have put in.. I am and will always support you, thanks for all the videos
Videography was absolute fire on the intro sequence 🔥
Great video and thank you for keeping the locations somewhat secret. Grew up fishing these waters. Used to be alot more bookies but the browns eventually take over the small creeks. Tight lines fellas..
Was just tying some GFA hoppers and this came up before I could even search for hopper fishing videos. Today is great
Tremendously done and got my blood pumping with some of those hopper strikes.
Great vid! Two ideas for better survival of catch and release trout: 1. Use an underwater camera to take your pics with the fish in the water and 2. Awesome guys!! The road less traveled well done!!!
Great giveaway concept too….
Wow. Once again wild fly is killing it my man! That was absolutely outstanding I am so impressed with how well you put that together. The story was phenomenal! Great work!

This out a smile on my face! Thanks for tuning in 🙌🏻
You guys are the motivating force for me to keep learning how to fish and tie! So cool to watch Scottie fish more, loved Will’s piece on him too 🤘🏼 stoked for ep 2!
Stick with it! There’s so much you can learn about yourself through fly fishing. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Mark my words. I will run into you guys on the river up here one of these days
Great video guys! I live in Missoula but fish over on the front often because the vastness of the landscape just swallows you up and the lack of people. Those topwater takes! Damn man. Epic footage!
That was a bad ass hit!! Sick!!
A couple of belly boats on the rack might come in handy.
Stay safe. 👍👍👍
It’s the best way to do it! Thanks for watching, Jim 👊🏻
how do you like that Coleman two burner? Does it simmer down to almost nothing? Most stoves struggle with that and you end up burning your breakfast!
Awesome, love the filming. Just stunning and the hopper action is really neat. Reminds me of the cicada season here in NZ. Can't wait for summer. Thanks for your awesome content.
So hyped to wake up to this notification. Best content on UA-cam
