That awkward moment when a fan can make Silver's telekinesis work the way it's supposed to while not changing the concept at all from 06. If sega ever finds this one they'll be salty as hell.
I've seen like one or 2 other examples as well. We've come a long way from those wonky fan mechanics where Sonic can only run and jump really fast, and sometimes maybe boost. They finally got the homing attack and all his other moves. But then we could never get other moves for other characters. They could only play exactly like Sonic. Now we're not only seeing them use their other abilities, but use them pretty well. I was super impressed the first time I saw someone do fanmade Silver gameplay. Like how the hell? That's straight up just making a game. Like you're not even faking it anymore. You're making a legit but unofficial Sonic game. o:
Wow. I've kept an eye on more than a few fan projects over the years, but this is the first time I've been truly taken aback by the quality. If it weren't for the mixed quality in voice acting and a couple of janky animations, I would have a hard time believing this wasn't being worked on by professionals. I have to give special props to whoever worked on the music, because those remixes were insanely on point. I swear, I could've mistaken that "Dreams of an Absolution" remix for something performed by Jun Senoue himself, and the tone shift when Silver entered the dungeon was just beautiful. If this game ever reaches a final release, I can promise it will be one of the few that I actually download and play.
Yo I agree. I think the voice acting was kinda... not bad, just a bit amateur like we usually see in fan games with original voices. But some of it I liked. Silver was pretty good. Tails was okay for the most part. Amy so-so depending on what clip was being used. The music was amazing. The graphics were amazing. The gameplay and mechanics looked amazing. A little slow, they could be a tad bit faster. But not too much cuz, I get it, they're not Sonic. So hopefully Sonic will be fast, at least as much as in SA2. The stage design is great, especially for a "Test" stage. I was blown back by how much original material was in this from the stage design too. How it kept changing and the stage lasted SO LONG. I'm kinda excited. lol
I think this is the only fan game so far that's actually trying and succeeding to be an "Adventure" formula fan game. Most of them just use straight, linear areas with a few branching pathways, but they all seem to forget the puzzle elements -- which is something this game seems to be focusing on. I like that.
Mario Sonic and Madoka Gamer I think that’s cause they didn’t really change him at all. He still looked the same but just had a few extra bits of gear on. Sonics design changed with the blue arms and scarf, Amy had a completely new outfit but a better personality and Knuckles went on steroids but forgot leg day 😂 I actually grew on them though honestly. I know the show ended but I wouldn’t mind if they released some art of what other characters would look like. I’m kind of curious

Just my opinion and a Minor criticism. When silver runs and gains up speed he should slightly float while running. He is part of the hedgehog trio after all. Overall this looks great!!
It always made me sad that SEGA has never really pushed Silver as part of the Hedgehog trio. Sonic and Shadow get lots of love, but Silver gets sidelined. He's my favourite, too.
I'm actually really interested in seeing what they do with Amy. She had some really neat things going for her in Adventure, but her momentum was just unbearable. Making her the only character with a good double jump would be interesting, although I'd much prefer if they tried to implement her hammer spring/jump from Adventure. The stages so far seem like they're only meant for demonstration purposes. As actual levels they are very underwhelming, with little to no spectacle or high-speed sections. Characters on grind rails should have momentum and should need boosters in order to travel uphill. I personally think the graphics are overdone and the reflections are too in-your-face. The beginning of Tails's stage was way too dark; I never would have found the switch. The voice quips are too frequent and the lines themselves could use some better writing, especially in Silver's case. I particularly dislike Silver's "Can't touch me" when he places his barrier; I'd prefer a shorter "Stay back" or something like that. There should also be a delay before he says "Who's next?" or any other line triggered by killing an enemy. Would also be more satisfying if it only occurred after killing multiple enemies in quick succession. I could go on and on, but I doubt anyone actually cares about my opinion anyway. I get that this is a work in progress; I'm actually excited to see where it goes. I only complain because I want to see it become as good as it can be. On another note, is T-PUP canon, or did they make that themselves? It's actually really cute and clever, and an interesting partner for Amy.
I have a few constructive criticisms. The hint orb/Tikal needed to be louder, I could barely hear her over what was going in the stage. The snowboard scene needes a little more fanfare and embellishment. The hole Tails travelled was barren and empty and was basically just a corridor.Silver's shield is just a little too big. The 10 ring health is a nice touch though. Will the appearance of the Iblis monsters in Silver's stage ever be explained? A minor nitpick but, the head on Amy's hammer is a little too small to actually be useful. For a positive response, I really enjoyed the numerous gadgets Tails received to demonstrate the game's mechanics. Silver's moveset was quite a joy, seeing him run faster than his 06 incarnation and making his psychic powers flow nicely was a nice sight.
@@TheExiledMeriler I would also like to say that the frequency of their quotes after destroying enemies should be lowered down, because it gets annoying hearing them say the same 3 things over and over. In running sections it's not that big of a problem but in a room full of enemies it's infuriating (ok maybe not that rage inducing but i hope you get my point).
Yeah, the colors look a little dull too. Probably because of the lighting. If they made everything a bit more vibrant and contrast-y with more overall brightness, I think it would look better.
Here is something i noticed that should be pointed out - you don't gain additional speed from running as a way of gaining momentum, but you do get more after jumping fast, landing from flying, bouncing on enemies, etc. The developers should make running the major way of gaining momentum, but not letting running alone allow the player to reach max speed, F.e Sonic mania - if you managed to use the "ability that gives you momentum on pressing jump twice" and landing in an acute angle allows sonic to gain extra momentum - so that acts that require skill and good timing will be more rewarding in terms of momentum, while still letting the player to get faster in his first runs through simple jumps and runs.
@maltese 84 I have no idea. It probably would have sold like crazy considering how beloved SA2 was at the time. the only thing I do know is the graphics wouldn't have looked the same. haha
The quality of this project is already staggering. The only issue I can find with it so far is the visuals- So much contrast will make it hard on the viewer/player's eyes. Thanks for covering this, I can't wait to see more.
This is really Amazing! As for criticism can Silver Levitate a little when he’s at TopSpeed similar how Metal Sonic would levitate when he reaches his top speed since he doesn’t run, I can understand Silver Doing something similar to that since I think Silver is unable to run that fast compared to the characters but he can subvert that with his telekinesis, It doesn’t have to use energy when he’s just running or hovering when he’s at top speed, What do you think? I love the uniqueness to every character and every character is different you get a different style of playing even if you have the same map it would still be interesting since the gameplay for that specific character is tweet in a way that shows that this is their character I love how everybody's got their own soundtrack when switching to characters and everyone got their own play style this is just amazing I'm enjoying this so much

ok, the dynamic music for silvers part is a really nice touch, its tough as hell to do this stuff right, but i can see a lot of effort was put into this.
The graphics and stage designs (both on an aesthetic level and on a level design perspective) are great. The voice acting is a little awkward (especially for the narrator) and Silver's animation for moving on top speed is very clunky. But I love how refined and fine tuned every character's gameplay is and the music remixes are an absolute treat.
It is Awesome to see Silver and Tails getting the equivalent of the more professional gameplay treatment here. It all looks Amazing! The voices are the only thing. But otherwise, gameplay, design, music its all here!
Man, nice Silver gameplay they even put a remix for dream absolution, really awesome work (hope with this Sega will make more screen times for Silver). keep it up guys
This is shaping up pretty nicely. Though from the looks of it, I think combat could be smoothed out a bit to keep momentum going, since both Tails and Silver seem to need to run around and stop a lot to destroy enemies. Also, Silver's flying animation is a little weird (can tell it's based on the Generations Silver fight), I think it suits better as a still flying animation rather than a moving one. Otherwise, really excited to see what can be done with this.
This is absolutely beautiful. If there could be a balance of this game with a few other fan-made Sonic projects, and maybe a few ideas of my own that I have- this could be such a masterpiece of a Sonic game.
The graphics are awesome! I know it's still in development but in my humble constructive criticism, I would like to see a more dynamic gameplay with Silver, like how they did it with Sonic PC 06 adding new moves and animations. And with Tails I like the moves a lot but I would like it to be more fast when flying like in Sonic Hero Project. I LOVE the new version of Amy's song, she also needs more polishing to do in the gameplay department. But other than that I like this game. Keep it up guys😊💖
One thing that I liked about Silver's gameplay, he can grind like in other games! If you're in contact with the developer(s) tell them I said thank you for remembering that.
Wow, just wow! For an fan game, This looks better than any recent Sonic game. It’s crazy how the fans are making better Sonic games than Sega themselves. I give it a 9.5/10

I just like fully 3D gameplay without boost formula more. And I've beaten the whole sonic forces in 5 hours. But I agree,it's not worth comparing an fan game with a original game made by Sega. Sorry,if my opinion offended you,I just was disappointed with forces and didn't enjoyed it that much.
@SonicFan4Life 007 yeah. I prefer the longer sonic games. I wish the stages were longer in sonic forces. But I actually like the music,the avatar and infinite(even got the figure set). I think that sega shouldn't have advertised the game as a "sonic generations 2". I expected generations,that's why I was disappointed. Oh well,I'm looking toward to the next sonic game and also the sonic movie.

This one is pretty cool, there's obviously a lot of effort put into it and it shows, it looks like how 06 was supposed to play, but the art direction is kind of funky. It feels kind of like a nintendo hire this man but with a little more effort put in to find assets that fit the world and a lot of effort put into making a fun experience.
I've always thought Silver's powers had much more potential that what they showed in 06. I'm glad to see you guys are taking his abilities to a new place. I'm sure they already know, but I'd like to recommend keeping things quiet on this project. I've seen a lot of great potential fangames get hit with the C&D bat and it's always tragic to see. If you keep quiet on it until it's out there's nothing they can do to stop it.
This game is cool with the graphics and everything! Tails' voice acting needs to be better. But, whoever did Silver's voice acting, did a very good job. It sounds like that Silver aged over the years.
I'm honestly getting tired of all the focus on Sonic only. If Sonic Team can release any other character-focused spinoff it may help regain the franchise's reputation.

This is really cool ! Who doesn't dream of a successor to the Adventure games? The graphics are outstanding and the gameplay looks really fun! Giving Amy a double-jump has to be the greatest idea ever. I also like Silver's voice actor and Tails design. The music remixes are nice too. Stay passionate for your project, you can do it !
This is really cool. I have a few notes. Im not sure if what you showed us is their full kit. Im going off on the assumption that its not. Tails Gear should be used to enhance or give new abilities but his last gear item gave him the spin dash. Spin dash is a move he already (though it often gets dropped in the 3d games) had but since i didnt see him already use it i dont know if it changed. It looked closer to the light dash technique sonic had. Id look to sonics less utilized games to open up new gear paths. Silver His running animation should eventually have him float. Its his quickest way of motion. I loved how cool his powers were but two shields is kind of useless. I mean unless you are doing protection missions a huge shield that he cant move is kind of useless. My suggestion for improvement is that his flat shield should reflect the shots back at his enemies. Amy I like the pet system but i dont know much more it does im sure theres more to it. Onto the hammer it looks weird. Her regular hammer is nicer. If your simply worried about range simply have her throw it. You can even work in a homing like feature for the jump atk. Use different looks and aesthtics but thave it like in kh3 remind where kairi did a nuetral atk from a distance. She threw her keyblade and teleported. Obviously dont teleport her but a light dash would be nice.

ok, the dynamic music for silvers part is a really nice touch, its tough as hell to do this stuff right, but i can see a lot of effort was put into this.

This looks like a good fangame with some good elements and imporoved features from old Sonic games.
Interesting. Very interesting. A bold move working on characters that aren't known for their speed. I'd say this is a good start.
The graphics and stage designs (both on an aesthetic level and on a level design perspective) are great. The voice acting is a little awkward (especially for the narrator) and Silver's animation for moving on top speed is very clunky. But I love how refined and fine tuned every character's gameplay is and the music remixes are an absolute treat.
These are the best graphics I’ve ever seen in a sonic fan game... TRULY SPECTACULAR! Great job and keep up the good work! 😁

It is Awesome to see Silver and Tails getting the equivalent of the more professional gameplay treatment here. It all looks Amazing! The voices are the only thing. But otherwise, gameplay, design, music its all here!

This is shaping up pretty nicely. Though from the looks of it, I think combat could be smoothed out a bit to keep momentum going, since both Tails and Silver seem to need to run around and stop a lot to destroy enemies. Also, Silver's flying animation is a little weird (can tell it's based on the Generations Silver fight), I think it suits better as a still flying animation rather than a moving one.
Otherwise, really excited to see what can be done with this.
This is a really interesting concept with cool execution. It reminds me of a Sonic game I dreamt of over a decade ago after playing 06 and Heroes.
Wow! Even incorporating things from the comics like T-Pup! Very nice! And the action sets are so clever!
This is absolutely beautiful. If there could be a balance of this game with a few other fan-made Sonic projects, and maybe a few ideas of my own that I have- this could be such a masterpiece of a Sonic game.
What cracks me up is that they even have the Mr. Big easter eggs. This is great.
The graphics are awesome! I know it's still in development but in my humble constructive criticism, I would like to see a more dynamic gameplay with Silver, like how they did it with Sonic PC 06 adding new moves and animations. And with Tails I like the moves a lot but I would like it to be more fast when flying like in Sonic Hero Project. I LOVE the new version of Amy's song, she also needs more polishing to do in the gameplay department. But other than that I like this game. Keep it up guys😊💖

Wow, just wow! For an fan game, This looks better than any recent Sonic game. It’s crazy how the fans are making better Sonic games than Sega themselves. I give it a 9.5/10

I just like fully 3D gameplay without boost formula more. And I've beaten the whole sonic forces in 5 hours. But I agree,it's not worth comparing an fan game with a original game made by Sega. Sorry,if my opinion offended you,I just was disappointed with forces and didn't enjoyed it that much.
@SonicFan4Life 007 yeah. I prefer the longer sonic games. I wish the stages were longer in sonic forces. But I actually like the music,the avatar and infinite(even got the figure set). I think that sega shouldn't have advertised the game as a "sonic generations 2". I expected generations,that's why I was disappointed. Oh well,I'm looking toward to the next sonic game and also the sonic movie.

This one is pretty cool, there's obviously a lot of effort put into it and it shows, it looks like how 06 was supposed to play, but the art direction is kind of funky. It feels kind of like a nintendo hire this man but with a little more effort put in to find assets that fit the world and a lot of effort put into making a fun experience.
Game is very rough around the edges, but it's clear there's a lot of passion being put into this game. I look forward to seeing how it evolves.
So is nobody else gonna talk about Amy having a robot dog in Tails's color scheme that has a propeller coming out of its tail?

I've always thought Silver's powers had much more potential that what they showed in 06. I'm glad to see you guys are taking his abilities to a new place.
I'm sure they already know, but I'd like to recommend keeping things quiet on this project. I've seen a lot of great potential fangames get hit with the C&D bat and it's always tragic to see. If you keep quiet on it until it's out there's nothing they can do to stop it.
This game is cool with the graphics and everything! Tails' voice acting needs to be better. But, whoever did Silver's voice acting, did a very good job. It sounds like that Silver aged over the years.

Tails
Gear should be used to enhance or give new abilities but his last gear item gave him the spin dash. Spin dash is a move he already (though it often gets dropped in the 3d games) had but since i didnt see him already use it i dont know if it changed. It looked closer to the light dash technique sonic had. Id look to sonics less utilized games to open up new gear paths.
Silver
His running animation should eventually have him float. Its his quickest way of motion. I loved how cool his powers were but two shields is kind of useless. I mean unless you are doing protection missions a huge shield that he cant move is kind of useless. My suggestion for improvement is that his flat shield should reflect the shots back at his enemies.
Amy
I like the pet system but i dont know much more it does im sure theres more to it. Onto the hammer it looks weird. Her regular hammer is nicer. If your simply worried about range simply have her throw it. You can even work in a homing like feature for the jump atk. Use different looks and aesthtics but thave it like in kh3 remind where kairi did a nuetral atk from a distance. She threw her keyblade and teleported. Obviously dont teleport her but a light dash would be nice.
