- Sonic Forces Reimagined is a stage pack mod which changes the level layouts for most stages in Forces. I also added in some modded characters to spice it up. Used Puma Shoes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge and Silver.

As cool as the custom character creation is I really think tails really should have been the custom character. He uses gadgets and everything. Would have been way better than what they did with him.
Even better, switch Classic Sonic with Tails. I always felt like Tails was supposed to take the place of Classic.

@@Teri_Merii_ That's not the case in Forces. They brought back the infamous Speed Caps from Sonic 1 into the physics engine.

The Speed Cap only affects Classic Sonic when he's not in his ball.
You do get faster when Rolling down a hill in Forces.

This looks better, but just by the nature of using Forces base level design it still doesn't look great. I give props to improvements, but fundamentally Forces just has boring ass level design.
Agreed. If they completely reworked th e level from the ground up, maybe then. Just a few tweaks to offer up more of a challenge doesn’t make it anymore interesting.
If I could offer whoever made tis pack some advice: Take notes from the adventure games and everything that follows. Unlike the devs, you’ll be able to see what made the past levels so memorable and challenging, as well as set them apart from one another, because honestly, the only way to improve this game is to do everything from the ground up; narrative included

The problem with the stages was the whole static nature of it. Surprisingly enough, the spectacle sonic team likes to put in the games actually matter a lot more than we think. Sonic didn't feel like he was going super fast in forces. That's my piece

while this is an improvement, it doesnt really make any meaningful changes imo. Levels are still linear straight lines, just a few more obstacles, and items you can use.
There isn't much you can do with the level design of this game tbh. Also the levels are too short.
@@jlr_0276 yeah thats been my general consensus with level mods for this game. Trying to improve the base levels is just a waste of time that wont actually accomplish anything. Best you could do is take the theme of the stage, everything else has to be your design.
My problem isn't the linear levels (that would be poor criticism). My problem is it's linear design executed very poorly.
The linearity is not the problem with Forces, I actually think linear levels work way better for Boost gameplay. Boost gameplay should be fast paced obstacle courses, not open world adventures, in fact I think that works better for Sonic period. The problem with Forces was the very boring level design and very short stages.
Ngl I don’t enjoy modern sonic games because of this reason, I enjoy the Dreamcast era games because of the field of space you can move through

The basic structure of the levels can't be changed much. So the only way to get around this is to squeeze in more platforms anyway. Still, they can change up the normal gameplay so why not?
Anyways, in a boost game, there isn't much to do other than plough through enemies

@@sonicovertime Like, Sonic '06 is terrible but at the same time it's the last main line Sonic game to have multiple characters until Forces. And in Forces the characters are two (2) Sonics, a customizable avatar, and Shadow who only has three levels of his own

I think it's ironic how they took out the Avatar when the "The Resistance needs YOU!" is a common motif all along the game's marketing with hints of it throughout the actual game. More of a focus on *you* joining Sonic & co. in the fight would greatly help the game more already, so it's kind of funny how fans choose the opposite.

Seeing Sonic on the costume character stages is makes me want a game where Sonic doesn't have boost, but he has grappling hook and weapons. I think it would work great and make some interesting levels.
To give Sonic another gameplay style and fragment the fanbase even further? Let's wait for Sonic Team to perfect something first.

To me, the main reason sonic forces’ levels weren’t g ood was because of its lack of engagement. The levels are just a bunch of paths and enemies lined up just so you can hold the square button (or the y or b button depend which console you play). No matter what little “special” thing you put on each level, it’s all going to basically be the same. Take a look at Sonic Unleashed for instance. *Rooftop Run.* That level is a perfect example of an engaging level. It lives up to its name; Sonic is literally running on rooftops. The only obstacles in your way is Eggman’s robots and crap, and you have to use that to your advantage. Yes, you boost a lot in that, but there are so many things in the way that you have to do more than just hold the same button; you got to use the sidesteps that actually work constantly, you got to occasionally slide under obstacles, and you have to react quickly to not get hit by anything. Let’s not forget to mention that Sonic is actually *interacting* with the environment. Like I said before, Sonic is literally running on rooftops. He’s going through buildings, breaking barrels, sliding under pots, *running up the clock tower and grinding down it with accelerating speed!* Don’t even get me started on the music for that level; let’s just say it complements the level really well. Going back to Sonic Forces, what level in this game is as engaging as that? *None.* There is nothing interesting about the levels that stand out, half of them aren’t even original locations, and the quick time events, despite them attempting at making something engaging, still lacked a lot. I’ll give the person who made these reimagined levels an A+ for effort; they attempted to make the levels more interesting, but the only way you can do that is by stating from scratch. Just a personally opinion.
shadow's level was the best in my opinion, i could actually feel that im playing and that its a challenge. Great work!
Every time i come back to this game i think "oh sonic and the avatar weren't that bad why didn't i enjoy this game more?" then i get to the classic sonic stage and i'm reminded why.....

Honestly I’m very interested in checking out this mod in the future. While the levels still don’t look amazing or anything, they’re still a definitive improvement over base Forces’s levels, and will at least give me an excuse to play the game again.

I don't know how much this adds, it feels like it makes it more cluttered rather than complex, which is not a positive.
For Lost Valley I kind of want to see a more emphasis on the desert part because I feel like we didn't get enough of that in the original level

Playing as Silver and Tails would be awesome, Tails needs his bravery back rather than just making too many gadgets, I’d love to play as Rouge again too but seeing her victory animations in Sonics style would be done and hot too in a way
Can we all agree that there should’ve been a sequel but it just like Forces over Clocked, because that mid is AWESOME, and we also need more playable characters because everyone needs to be seen as useful

I just realised, how in God's name is all the grass and trees so alive and green in green hill when theres absolutely no water to be seen. Just really shows how little thought went Into this change. Its such a good idea to have the iconic green hill fall into disarray with eggman controlling the world, shame it wasnt executed properly tho...

looks like some locations and items from the classic timeline got into the modern one like green hill and chemical plant in forces and the classic badniks in lost world
did- you use a modded shadow, when he was already in the game, or was that the in-game on?
I think my favourite stages in forces were the first one were fist bump plays and the one 2d Cac one later in the game were you climb the tower. then again it might the be the music talking
This is a great mod but silver's boost colour and jumpball colour needs to be fixed to the aqua colour that would suit him better also one more thing you forgot about the stage null space i want to see shadow be replace as sonic and the oc character changed to be rouge
This is better as SEGA's Sonic Forces !. I like play silver and shadow to in all levels T-T. I hope SEGA make in future a game with the option to play all Chars. Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Rouge, Tails and yes the dark chars to maybe Infinite, Metall sonic .... and and and T-T
