I love this. I have a river landscape with natural but surreal lighting that I was planning to paint with pallet knives but now I have to try this sponge method. Wow!
Thanks for sharing your talent... and I really like that you show us your "mistakes ".... most artists would edit it out, but it is so reassuring to see even the pros struggle at times. Love the end result ❤
Amazing that a sponge can create such a painting. I like it the original way, so nice. First time seeing your channel, I have to check out your seascape one from 5months ago.
Hello, Soraya~ It's such a beautiful piece. The colors are so beautiful.💜 I always think, how can you express it so delicately with a sponge? It's amazing! 😄 Have a healthy and inspirational week.🍁☕
@ i’m supposed to be working four now I train horses and I said screw the horses I want to paint withsponges. I have plenty of time until dark. I’ll do them after I do this.
You showed your audience the sponge and it had yellow on it with the other color. You must have picked up the yellow when you went for the color you wanted. You should look at your sponge before you lay it down I think. It looks great though. You did a good job fixing the boo boo. The beauty of acrylics. They are easy to fix our mistakes.
I enjoyed this lesson. The results are wonderful. I like both orientations. The “upside down” one feels more interesting to me. If the painting was mine, I would let the buyer decide how they would hang it. I wouldn’t sign on the front bc that determines how a person can hang it. May I ask what brand of sponges you’re using?. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you. I often wire my paintings in a couple of ways. The buyer can decide. Honestly, the sponges came from the dollar store. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😀
@@SorayaZiziArtist Oh Yes, I hadn’t thought about wiring the painting in a couple different ways. It’s a Better idea! Thank you so much for your response on the sponges. I’m in my 70s and have started painting about 4 years ago. Still learning so much. Have tried a little bit of abstract but found it so hard to soften any edges which wasn’t very appealing to me. But I’ll try the sponge technique. I’ll practice first on a small canvas. I think it will look better than using my brush. Thanks so much for the lesson.👍🏼💕
Hi! I always start off with a dry sponge and a dry canvas. If I do dampen the sponge it is very minimal…barely wet. Good tip with the wipes!😀 Thanks for watching 💕
Hi! I use a variety of brands. Mostly Liquitex basics, Amsterdam, Pebeo Studio. If you click the ‘more’ button under the videos title, it’ll show my description area. I have all the paints I use most often there. Thanks for watching 😀
Forget the challenge I’m enjoying watching you fix it and you know you can fix it
Thanks so very much 😀💕
Thanks for sharing, Soraya! You inspire me to try this technique sometime. Sorry I had to laugh when the yellow kept wanting to make its mark!💛
Wonderful! Hahaha, the yellow wouldn’t go away so I had to go with it😅 Thanks for watching 😀

Yes, unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention and got too close to the other color. I’m glad you like it. Thanks for watching 😀
You had a lovely image of Jesus in the middle as you just covered it with the yellow it looked so good
I did not see it. Glad you did though. I’ll look back. Thanks!
@@SorayaZiziArtist it looked like sea waves and The Lords upper body with his arm hand stretched out over the waters
🥰
😀🥰
Have y added water to the paint or is the sponge wet?
Hi! My canvas is dry, my sponge is dry and I did not add any water to the paint (or medium) It came straight out of the tube. Thanks for watching 😀
It almost looks like a funnel cloud like at the beach
Oh cool! Glad you see that😀👍🏻

Do you use a dry or a damp sponge when you paint? I found that baby wipes are great for erasing `oops' moments. lol

Je voulais savoir si je peux essayer sur une toile ou j'ai appliqué du gesso noir ? Merci d'avance 🍀🍀🍀
You can try. I think it would be interesting!
Remember what Bob Ross said there are no mistakes. Just happy accidents.
I do remember and now i know the true meaning 😀
