I am using freecad for several years now once ive got into 3d printing and its always does the job. Not from first try occasionally, but success is 100% for me. Great tool overall
Nice video! I'm glad to see FreeCAD getting a little well deserved attention on its latest release milestone. Good demo of the corrected topological naming problem. And good tip/trick for the trim tool.
Freecad has made huge leaps recently. For most users it is much better than those almost free alternatives there. I would sell my adsk stocks at this point.
Arrays and fillets... However trivial it may sound for an average 3d printer user EASE of creating such features is going to be the decisiv3 factor in choosing modeling software.
I am running the latest Mint and it is in my Software Installer app as a Flatpak. I an in the USA. If you are somewhere else, it may take a little while to show up for you. I expect that if you enable Flatpak installations, you will get it.

I’m very interested in the BIM workbench, haven’t seen any recent tutorials on it so I’ll be going in raw….wish me luck

How do I get the new version installed into Linux Mint? The Software Manager only installs 0,19.

Go on the side of FreeCad from there you can die and install on your Mint!
