Awesome work Cad Cam! I am having a problem with my pc slowing down while further along on a model in freeCAD. I have a pretty powerful pc running a R9 9900x, 64gb of ram and a Radeon 7800xt. the model I am working on isn't that complicated and only has 4 separate parts that are built in separate bodies. ( 1 body per part.) everything runs smooth until I want to go back in the tree and, say, change a bolt hole size. It takes about 30 plus seconds to recalculate 2 small holes in the model. Is there something I may be doing wrong during the modeling of the parts to cause an extensive calculation to have to happen or is this normal ? for a little more info, I have gone back to change a few things and the model has basically blown up on me. I am not able to change things and it seems I have gotten myself into a TNP loop. haha. I am by no means a professional CAD designer so thats why I am leaning more towards user error. Thanks in advance for any help!
It's almost painful to watch how intuitive one- or two-click movements in proprietary CADs take a couple times more operations here. Honestly, I glance at FreeCAD once every couple of years, but looking at such a "friendly" interface, I think back.
Excellent material! Very easy and straight to the point!
Thank you for learning. 🙂
Perfect. Thank you very much.

For me to change over to this after 10 years on another system I would have to import my dxfs.
Last I looked it’s still not possible
