Despite that being a filler episode, it's a pretty good one. Good things about it: - introducing Captain Nemesis (who used to be Ben's idol, so we get a bit of Ben's backstory) - first use of Armodrillo and second use of Water Hazard - the duel scene - notice how Ben does not shout the name of Humungosaur or Ultimate Humungosaur, when he goes to face Nemesis. Nemesis kidnapped his girlfriend and he's dead serious. - how angry Ben gets after beating Nemesis. The boy's losing it. It's like "How could you?! You were my hero!". Reminds me of Obi-Wan and Anakin in "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith". - Ben becoming a better hero. Nemesis shows him what to avoid and who not to become. That fame and power can corrupt. Also: 10:50 "Good. Fight back. I like that". This is such a rapey line. I'm surprised it passed in a kid's show.
2:52 The immediate turn around on believing that. I absolutely loved it. 5:00 Honestly, I think that went completely over my head until now. I thought Nemesis was just repeating himself, never took that as a threat before. And as always, your hatred for Will Harangue is always fun to hear.
Sorry for the inconsistency but Im loving Ultimate alien so far honestly, I enjoy this episode some much. Ben kissing jennifer omg and nemesis trying to kill them OMG WHAT AN EPISODE

When Captain Nemesis return in season was unexpected and that episode is for me one of the darkest episodes Cartoon Network has released.
